    That factory is in Kumamoto, that's where my XL100S was made over 40 years ago. It's cool that the factory is still making motorcycles

    I have toured that Honda Factory in Kumamoto and been on the factory floor back in the mid 90's. Huge place and yes, my Nikon camera was not allowed on certain parts of the tour. They were quite strict about that and you can't blame them.

    Very serious about proprietary technology and the whole manufacturing process. Very unlike most of the rest of the world. Poke fun at them if you will, but they make superior products.

    Take note ALL motorcycle manufacturers…this is what a real motorcycle manufacturing plant looks like. Honda engineer and build the best motorcycles…period. They pay attention to details…like being dedusted. This is Honda!

    If you manage to rev a Honda CB1100 to 12000rpm you will need a new engine.

    • @ekspatriat
      @ekspatriat 2 месяца назад +3

      @@cj599 Your comment does not negate mine...rev a cb1100 to 12000 and it will grenade. I note you 'say' you have had it to 10000 but set the limiter to 9500 so even you have got nervous at those revs. Adding another 2000 is a huge difference. The standard redline at 8500 means that at 12000 is a difference of 41%!!!!!!. If you know anything about piston speed and loads you will understand that 12000 is a ridiculous expectation.

      @@cj599 What bike was that? I had a cb1300 for 8 years. It made 115hp and redline at 8500. It's a longstroke like the 1100.

    I would always rather bank on the reliability of a Honda over a RE any day. I bet the service intervals of the Honda is much greater than those of the RE too, which needs servicing every six months or 2,500 miles! The Honda is a new engine too, unlike the dated RE.

      Because they're sh!t
      Triumph Motorcycles are built in Thailand and not England because the workers there were lazy, went on strike all the time and demanded a high wage but produced a low quality product. You can blame the EU, the Bureaucracy, Thatcher and what ever bogeyman you can muster but the fact of the matter is, BMW and Ducati are still able to build their high end bikes in Germany and Italy (which are EU countries) because their skilled workers were good and their bikes are good bikes.
