After playing Elex, that combat system looks like a god send

who and why did they poop on gothic series? i actually liked the combat in gothic 1 & 2 btw. it was challenging and made sense.. sort of. way better than 3rd and 4th. at least 3rd had a nice & complex, actual free roam world.

I hated rain so much I had to find a way to reset weather to no-rain-state by pressing a button. Which had to be done roughly every 20-40 minutes.

Hack and Slay Combat System is not necessarily good. In G1 and G2 it was superb, rhythm-based and you had to learn the beasts pattern. Here it is mindless bashing.

When I played that when it came out and killed the end boss, thought it was just an non-important miniboss on a way to something that make sence

Not sure if the Hero is the avatar of Adanos, because this god is veeeery neutral and worshiped by Watermages, Nomads and Southern Islands. The Nameless Hero is none of them. I believe he’s more the chosen one of Innos and probably the bastard son of King Rhobar II

I remember seeing E3 gameplay of this and being hyped for a new 3D RPG game. In the back of my mind I still get excited thinking about that gameplay knowing the game is already out and I’ve already played it being completely dissatisfied.

Well, it would be cool as an Gothic MMORPG spin off, but as a game which should be a continuation of the original gothic story... naaaah. Good review, nicely done!

Yea my copy on my ps4 pro skips every cut scene which causes me not to be able to get the conqueror gold trophy for completing the game on gothic difficulty which also prevents me from getting the platnum trophy. Serious BS man. I did very much enjoy the game though, i give it an "B+" rating. BTW on hard or gothic difficulty i got alot more than 5-10 hours gameplay, i dont skip things and collect everything possible.
