How to Fix Minecraft Opengl Error on VERY Low End PC, NO GRAPHICS CARD (Core 2 Duo)

- So when playing minecraft, my pc is stuck at version 1.16.5, I couldn't run 1.17+ as i would get the OpenGL 65542/65543 error. I've tried a lot of tutorials but nothing worked, you probably experienced the same. Until I found a youtube link from reddit, it's actually a privated video from someone on how to fix the same problem with much more details than any other tutorials.
I had a few problems following his methods since it's quite outdated. but with some changes, i made it actually work on 1.20.4.
This video is basically an improved and optimized version with more details, inspired from his methods.

HERE'S AN UPDATED VERSION TO RUN 1.20.5-1.21 (works on 1.17+ too)

This should work on other launcher, the last part might be confusing for some people, but you just have to change the java path to the one we installed, every launcher should have this option just with different layout.
For tlauncher, just use:
"C:\Program Files\AdoptOpenJDK\jre-17.0.0.18-openj9"
And it works, only on 1.20.4 though, 1.20.5 and above requires java 21 which i will make a video later on
I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING THIS IF your igpu/gpu supports up to Opengl 3.3, and it's better to update your graphics driver instead, however since my graphics is only limited to opengl 2.1, this will be the only option and for all of you who experience the same, to finally be able to play the latest version of minecraft! So make sure to check Opengl first!
- Q: will this make the game laggy?
A: Of course, since we are using llvmpipe backend supporting up to opengl 4.5, however it's a software renderer, not hardware accelerated, which will cause the game to run way slower than usual.
- Q: is there other way to fix this issue? Yes. The main goal was to reach opengl 3.2 required to run 1.17+, if you have a 4th gen intel or above you can easily achieve that by updating the driver, on a 2nd-3rd gen you'll need to use linux, or you buy a graphics card to increase the FPS while also giving you better support (any gpu from 2007 or newer)

Bro also for the lag reducer video u made use sodium , sodium extra and lithium with that in 2 chunks render distance i got around 25-40 fps in my hp i3 2120 processor
I've tried sodium extra and i feel like it's more load on the cpu, so i use sodium instead. (Or maybe i forgot to also add sodium with sodium extra)
And in the video i've added more mods like lithium, c2me, etc

@@SG_4067 i don't think the video says it does, anyways you need to install a jdk 21, go for adoptopenjdk or libericajdk (has 32bit version)
in my opinion the core 2 quad is actually pretty decent if you have a graphics card and it also holds up pretty good till this day

It does work for me, the only problem is that its just too laggy, i kept reseting my pc and even waited for my minecraft world to load a bit yet its still so lag, is there no other way to fix the frames?
For me the only way to fix the lag is to use 640x480 res and use sodium+lithium mod, got me up to 30fps (20fps in heavy areas like jungle)

Don't worry, it only affects the game that is connected to that specific java 17 folder (which is only Minecraft tbh)

And you can delete opengl32.dll anytime

@@suiikkk1314 it's mostly cause of mesa, ur getting opengl 4.5 but at the price of your gpu. And a gpu or even igpu is a lot faster but it just lacks the opengl feature for older models
Is it okay to use java that is recommended automatically by the pc and do the same thing or o need to download the jdk?
