It doesn't really matter if it's old, but it does matter that the opengl for the 1st gen is not supported for newer 1.17+ releases since it requires opengl 3.2 and the 1st gen only had opengl 2.1, for now you could only play up to 1.16.5 with playable fps. However you CAN force it to run by the tutorial in my opengl fix video:, ruclips.net/video/Wi0hvz5Ay94/видео.htmlsi=U5tbBCcUsleHN8LB but it will only be playable with 640x480 res, lowest setting and sodium since it replaces your unsupported graphics to a software renderer that is supported with opengl 4.5 but has terrible performance.

@@babuchikagaming4573 im guessing your system might be overheating, check your temps bro, be sure to replace the thermal paste once in a while

@@babuchikagaming4573 i recommend using hardware monitor app to see how the CPU temp goes when running the game, if it's reaching 85° or higher it's definitely overheating and needs to have the thermal paste replaced (it's easy and only cost me 1$ for a huge syringe of thermal paste that does the job well)

@@user-tb3nd7qe2k yeah depends on the board u use though, the G41 have an X4500 graphics which had opengl 2.1 when 1.12-1.16.5 needs opengl 2.0, but the G31 (or worse) is only at opengl 1.4 and isn't supported (though it's 2.1 on linux)

@@laneesha217 the intel hd 2000/3000 isn't supported cuz it's only opengl 3.1 on windows, you'll have to use linux since it has opengl 3.3, and minecraft 1.17+ needs opengl 3.2 minimum :)
