It was a bit awkward having Jason in the top ten...but ONLY because I've grown accustomed to it just being the three of us. Jason IS a GREAT guy, and I can't imagine our gaming group without him. Yes, we rib him nearly every time he uses the word awesome (again) while describing a game. And yes, we take great delight in beating him in games (because it doesn't happen very often). It's also true that we vocally recognize in each game that we play with him that we are undoubtedly playing for second place. But for his many eccentricities (of which we all have many, honestly), he is one that I will always willingly sit down with for a game (caveats being that it is a game that I enjoy, and/or one that I think I will enjoy and have yet to try). So...yeah, some of yous guys need to back up off Jason. I consider him a friend and some of what you're saying is just downright aggravating...don't make me go get my angry eyes, y'all!!
Those are beautiful words, Sam. You should write that down and take it with your to game nights. Then on those rare occasions when you CRUSH him at a game, you can read it to him....Like an epitaph :D
Nathan Addison Understood...but some could stand to be a bit more nice...and that's all I'm saying. Just because you're thinking something doesn't mean you have to say/post it.
2 Things, 1. You are posting a video to the internet, so the 80/20 rule applies (No matter what you do, 80% of the people are going to like it, 20% are going to hate it.) I have to imagine that You, Tom and Zee knew this (These harsh comments) would be a possible outcome, given Jason's uneven popularity. with that being the case, why not simply disable comments for the video? 2. Part of the dice tower is funded by this community, and as such should have a say when they don't like something. Now, I don't agree with the LEVEL of hate being thrown Jason's way AT ALL, no one deserves some of these comments. f you don't like something, just say " I don't think Jason was a good fit for the show" and if you see this comment, just like it. You don't have to write out your own Jason Manifesto.Just try to think about how you would like someone to tell you they didn't like your performance and write that. I do hope people find a way to provide more constructive feedback in the future.
When I first encountered Jason was during the 24 hour marathon you guys did earlier this year. At that point I was a very casual viewer of your videos, generally only stumbling across them when looking for info or review on a particular game or genre. As I watched that marathon and the chaos that Jason brings to the table, not to mention comprehensive knowledge, I was completely charmed by Jason's character and how it fits in with the original boys. I love the way you guys rib him and how well he takes it and I also enjoy how aggravating he can be at times. It's unfortunate people are complaining about him, because for me I would watch pretty much any video you guys post that has Jason on it. He's hilarious and mixes things up.
I enjoy Jason being on the show. I love his enthusiasm and passion for board games! Tom I also appreciate that you try and change things up from time to time. Please keep up the good work. Thx
The boardgaming community usually differs from other communities. Usually boardgamers are nice to each other, that's one of the things I really like about this hobby. Reading all of these posts about Jason makes me feel sad. This kind of hate over someone, seems like bullying... disappointed about all of those harsh comments :/ Every group has "that guy"! Each group picks on "that guy"... and it's kind of funny if in moderate proportions. And I'm OK with all those jokes that Tom, Sam and Zee make. Jason seems to take it easily. He's a boardgame fan, and really knows a lot about the hobby. I respect him and I'm OK with him being a regular presence on the show. But please, stop criticizing him! It's not our thing guys, let's not screw what the hobby is all about!
I'm in the "I like Jason, but not in the top 10s" camp. And not because I didn't enjoy Jason being there, or that I didn't see value in his contribution. But because my favorite part of the top 10s is watching the "quarrels" and discussions about each other's picks take form and allow the guys to really TALK about games and why something should or shouldn't be included. It allows me to really get a sense for each of their tastes that gives a lot more life to the list than just "Here are games. I like games." Having Jason in this top 10 really made it so there was no time for those fun offshoots that the other videos tend to have, which is the main reason I watch them. I can get top 10 lists anywhere. I like dice tower for the free-flowing discussion.
Wow, I read the comments first and then watched the video expecting the regular three to trash talk every game Jason mentioned, pick on his intelligence, or call him names and otherwise insult him to the point where he looked miserable. Well, I just finished the video and am left scratching my head. Where was the being "cringe worthy" "embarrassingly" hard on Jason? The "Thesaurus" comment because he used the words amazing and awesome all of the time? The "Quiet" comment because it went along with the Quarriors expansion names? The only thing I could even remotely see as not playful were some of Sam's facial reactions to a couple of Jason's comments. Even that, though, was more like they have a behind the camera rapport that we just aren't familiar with. I enjoyed the video and was introduced to some new dice games that I will have to soon check out!
I really Jason's views. It was refreshing to have some different games being mentioned as I feel that these top 10 lists are now becoming a different reason for the guys to just keep rolling out the same names every time. By your own violitions, you are saying that you have run out of things to say about them. I do agree that the dynamics changed too much with 4 rather than three people, this was no slight on Jason. I'd definitely like to see more of Jason, and as mentioned elsewhere I think he would do well in a 2 person show like a Miami Dice variant. I do feel that Tom, Sam and Zee were uneccessarily unkind to Jason. Just because he tolerates it, doesn't mean he doesn't get hurt by it. I could see from his face that it was causing him some problems. It's fun to mess around guys, but just remember everybody has feelings and I think that everybody should be treated with respect. You 3 came across poorly and I think you owe Jason an on-screen aplogy.
Yep, you're right. A lot of folks these days are overly sensitive and far too touchy. It's often the sign of a good relationship that friends can feel free to ridicule each other. Lighten up, people.
VERY pleased to see Jason in the "Top 10-video". Jason is awsome! Absolutely the one who should get more time on the Dice Tower. Thank you guys for all the great videos!
Jason is not making these videos worse. It is good to have another added as otherwise the lists would be of 30 games but half of them would be the same over and over. Jason likes different games it seems so it only adds to the videos in a good way. By the way, his explanation about Formula D made me order the game now. Was not even interested in looking it up before. Now maybe some Eurogamers might find these videos worth watching.
I met Jason briefly at Gencon while playing a game of Five Tribes. He seemed like a nice guy and was friendly and easy to talk to. I've enjoyed his contributions to the Dice Tower,
I'd give anything to have a friend like Jason be willing to sit down and play board games. It's hard to find people who want to invest time and money into games. Those calling him out because he "messes up the chemistry" between Tom, Sam, and Zee aren't seeing the bigger picture. He adds a new perspective to reviews as well as games that weren't on the others' lists. Give the guy a chance. All he is doing is trying to help you out with games, why not help him out by showing some support.
Jason's growing on me. He was a little awkward on camera at first, but he's getting better and will no doubt continue to do so. I think a lot of people complaining don't realize how hard it is to get on camera and "perform." It takes time to feel comfortable doing it and it takes practice. I do an audio-only podcast with one of my best friends and it still took several episodes before the interaction and discussion while we were recording felt natural and comfortable.
Jason Levine was a fresh take--if needlessly chatty and inarticulate (don't just gush in a review show, use some eloquence to tell me how good Marvel Dice Masters is. I've not played it yet, but you *could* convince me if you tried!). They're all pretty dorky guys. That's why it's so enjoyable to watch, though! I think every gaming group's got a friend like Jason. I was laughing along with Sam and Zee, especially at Tom's last "Don't help me, please!" plea. That got me good. But damn, Jason's a good sport! He did his best overall, so thanks for the entertaining & informative video as usual.
I really like Jason and enjoy his take on things. I think that the passive aggressive bullying is a bit much... Yeah, watch it again guys, who gives a hoot if he said dice too many times. I've never heard of Yspahan and having said dice 52 times doesn't negate the fact I've just been introduced to a new game. Thanks Jason! Actually pointing out his quirks is infinitely more annoying than the quirks which you all have. Aside from the chiding, we love you guys, so keep it up and thanks for the list. You can never have enough dice games.
I enjoy seeing Jason on the boardgame breakfast segements. I don't like seeing people being rude and inconsiderate in their comment toward anyone. I do agree that having 4 on the show changes the dynamic of just Zee, Sam and Tom, but it was nice for a change of pace, I just wouldn't want to see it become the norm. I hope everyone remembers this is supposed to be a fun show where friends get together and talk about games and we get to look in and watch them sharing their views. I don't know of many shows that do this as well with more than one person. Keep up the good work and Jason I enjoyed hearing your views, I'll have to keep my eyes open for games with a "Latrine" LOL :).
I'll admit that it did take me a while to warm up to Jason, but as he became more relaxed, he started doing a better and better job, and I like the interaction between him and the others. But I really fell in-love with him when he said that he wants to get two of everything for dice masters, because that way he'll be able to play with anyone who doesn't own it without disputes. It speaks volumes to his character, that he is willing to Putt in the time, effort and money to make sure your friends are happy. That is the sign of a true mensch. I have friends like that - friends who always go the extra mile for me. I try to be that way as well. My friends have made my life unfathomably better because they do this, and I think people who do this are great - they make the world better for everyone they know. It seems to me that Jason is that kind of guy, and I like him because of it. I'd love to see him on more episodes. Like others have said - he's awesome.
Good to have you back guys ! I saw some complains about the presence of Jason... Weird... To my mind, the only problem is the sound. The mic being on Tom's chest doesn't help to hear correctly Zee but anyway, not a big deal ! .. In fact, the only problem with Jason... And it's a big one... Not Dice town on your list ???? What's wrong with you ??? :))))
I like hearing Jason's opinions and input here. You used to skip the games that were duplicated, just basically mention them and then wait to do the whole discussion when it gets to the top ranking person's turn and I think you should still do that to save time and to just keep it moving better. Obviously to do that you have to know the other people's lists in advance. Anyway, I always enjoy the top 10 lists, keep 'em coming!
I like having Jason. I don't think he is quite as fluid on camera yet, but as a euro gamer, I appreciate having a perspective represented that more reflects my taste. I still get a lot out of the rest of the crew because I know their tastes well enough to know how it will translate to mine. I imagine some of the others on here will come to appreciate that in Jason as he comes on more often.
The more I see Jason the more he grows on me. I must admit he nailed Roll for the Galaxy and all 3 of the others have praised this game in multiple videos since! Also at his top 100 throws out some great oldies to revisit....although there is waaaay too many wargames lol
Does anybody remember Zee's first appearance ? Give Jason a break. He's got a strong opinion, other games in mind and brings fresh air. And they managed to keep it under an hour. Let's see.
It's nice to hear a group of gamers that are so enthusiastic about dice games. Many times I've gone to local conventions, game shops, or meet ups, and I rarely notice dice games being played... at least, that's the impression I've walked away with on several occasions. P.S. IIRC, I think they give Jason a hard time because he always wins...
While I agree with you, I think they know him better than us, he seems like the kind of people that could get hard to deal with without him meaning it.
I like to hear Jason's input. I also see where most everybody is coming from with their Jason comments. I think the fact that there are four is what makes this Top 10 a bit off for me. I like the give and take between Jason and Tom. What about a Top 10 point-counter point with Jason and Tom? What if Jason sits in for Sam or Zee when needed? I think it's the four person thing that is off.
Although I don't bear any ill will towards Jason, I do feel that the chemistry between everyone was lacking, because of him. I'm not insulting him, but I agree with a few members that he lacks the charisma onscreen that Zee and Sam have. Also, at the 47:36 mark, when Jason claims that Lord of the Rings: The Dice Game is an amazing game, Tom clearly looks in the camera, interrupts him and states that it is absolutely NOT an amazing game. Far from it, apparently. Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion and tastes do differ, but I can't remember him disagreeing so strongly with someone else in a similar video. I do expect that the games on these lists are great and worth picking up, regardless of their theme, or lack thereof. He didn't include it officially in his list, but that shoutout and subsequent disagreement did stand out in the video for me. And as it stands right now, I'm inclined to believe Tom. So far, every game he has recommended, went really well with our group, which makes me doubt about Jason's credibility and a few of his other entrees on his list. Something that - obviously - doesn't sit well with me in a Top Ten video. Maybe it's because Tom has developed a strong critical eye ever since he's been reviewing so many board games and Jason hasn't, I don't know. Again, not trying to diss on him intentionally, I'm just giving my humble opinion.
Some people just have other tastes in games. Enjoyment in games vary. What I noticed though that when Zee likes a game, I usually also do and vice versa; and I presume other peoples tastes also tend to run on the same lines of 1 of the three more than the other 2.
Maybe it's because that he can't say anything without being trashed by at least one of them. Jason says "awesome" a lot, the three others use "great" and "cool", but never get any heat for it. They trash Jason because it's Jason, nothing else. Embarassing behavior from so called Christians.
Kristian Jensen I didn't find it *that* annoying, but I can imagine it would get irritating really fast if he would be on every Top Ten video and would justify every entry on his list by simply saying that "It's awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome". I haven't really paid any attention to Tom, Zee and Sam's choice of words in that regard. Then again, as far as I know, they haven't been abusing any superlatives like Jason does.
Jason made a good guest. Breaks up the usual and he does seem to be quite a nice guy about everything. Im sure you guys have more experience with him than us. I dont mind him, but ive come to like tom, sam, and zee quite a bit. Kinda like the marx brothers... there were 5 of them, but people only remember the 3 well. (that's probably quite a bad analogy... sorry) However mostly its the format with 4 starts to break apart. You guys are adding another person without adding time (mabie sometime do a special with like 6 or 7 people and run it for like 3 hours... id watch it) and those tangents cant go very far in those constraints... sometimes that makes the best parts of these lists. And its a little more difficult to follow (for me) with 40 games being listed instead of 30. As for dice games... they go over well in most cases. The mechanics tend to be easier to understand, and there is something quite intrinsic about the feel of dice being rolled. Its hard to say no to a dice game... especially since they also dont tend to take that long.
Welcome Jason! Good to see you here! The background ambience/kids sounds kind of freaks me out, since it s almost 10pm here and very dark outside. Anyways, awesome video again! Keep em coming!
I thought it was nice having having another friend on the show. Yes it did seem a little awkward for 10 and 9. then things got rolling no pun intended. When you have a tight group everyone has a roll, ops another one, in the friendship. Great job guys. Looking forward to seeing more guest friends on the show.
Glad you got Jason up there now. He was the hero of Dice Tower Live: BGG.con 2014. Way to go Jason. Why were you left out in the cold so long? Until recently, you were just someone on the end of a ringing telephone; Tom would say, "It's Jason" then they all fell about laughing. You should sue those bastards for deformation.
Good list o'games! I would include Elder Sign on my list as well...or is that not really a dice game? Overall an intriguing collection of dice-games. Nice to see the 'Top Ten' panel grow to include Jason, that was a nice surprise! Well done!
Liar's Dice is played in bars all over China. It was my first intro to it. It works great because Chinese hand gestures for numbers only require one hand, so it works in a loud bar so you don't have to talk, and you can hold the cup with your other hand.
I felt like this NEEDED to be said: I loved Jason in this top 10. Is true, I agree got strange some time during the video, but more for the inexperience of the whole group in this 4 people format. The same way Tom and Sam took some time to get accustomed with youtube videos, it will happen for Jason as well. Just need a couple more of videos to get perfect now. Congratulations guys and wellcome to top 10 Jason.
Wow, I just read some of the other comments. Just keep doing what you feel like doing. The joy and scraps between Zee liking an out of print throwing dead animals into a cave game and Sam preferring a game that is actually longer than real civilization building, is part of it. I don't need to keep going on, the Jason/Tom dynamic is awesome. I have a pretty good idea of what games id like after watching DT videos and I'll keep watching. Top top video everyone.
I acquired a fantastic dice game a couple months ago called King's Forge. It is a dice crafting/pooling game, easy to learn and the mechanics are set up in such a way that each time you play it, it's different. Also picked up Age of War. It's a fun game but can, at times, be too easy. We modified the rules so that you have to attack a castle's line of defense in order they are listed on the card to capture it.
To reiterate a point I made elsewhere, there is nothing wrong with judging. Making judgements is necessary to thought. Where there is a problem is assuming the power to enforce one's judgements. As to the issues with Jason, he has less experience than the others, so is going to look worse and somewhat out of place compared to those who have more experience and an established onscreen rapport. Furthermore Sam and Zee both have some background in the theater and adjusted in far easier for those reasons. All things considered Jason seems to be adjusting in very well and I look forward to more of him.
I'm really glad Jason came, it was already great before but it adds something to become even better. It actually turns out more and more into a real show, probably the most "Bord games specialized TV show" like program. Nice! Just a thing: I had not noticed your new house was by a schoolyard, right? or were your kids very excited this day? ^^
I really enjoyed Jason he brought a fresh breath of air into the list. I hope they bring him back he seems to like euros a lot more then the other guys which I think his board game favorites might be more like my own. I hope he appears on a few more.
i started this video thinking... yuk dice games, but this was very entertaining. I was cracking up with all the banter. great video, great job Jason, and keep the 4 person format.
Jason seemed fine to me for this being (presumably) his first time on the show. What's more is that he recommended games that I felt were much better than what everyone else put on offer. I think he's a bit awkward because he isn't comfortable in front of the camera yet. I think the first thing that needs to happen is that Tom, Sam, and Zee stop being rude to him and rolling their eyes whenever he talks. I can tell they mean it affectionately but it creates tension for me as I'm watching it and feeling uncomfortable for the poor guy, who is clearly very well-informed and on point.
First off I have to give Sam two thumbs up for his Top 10 list since I own and love 6 of his 10. Also kudos to Jason for including Formula D. I haven't read through all the comments so forgive me if these have been mentioned already. A couple of my favorites that would definitely be on my Top 10 are Lords of Vegas and Desperados of Dice Town. BTW, I thought Jason added a lot to this video - I enjoy the dynamic he brings, and his list of games was excellent. Keep up the AWESOME work guys! Great job!
I think everyone knows a guy like Jason. Eminently nice, but doesn't pick up on sarcasm at all and can't stand up for himself. That's a combination that is always going to attract some bullying, although I don't like to see so much of it in the video. Not that it bothers me, but it kinda reflects poorly on the other guys. I do agree that Jason's fresh choices added a lot, and if he works on his vocabulary/delivery, he could be a regular, but if every game is described as "unique and awesome", I don't think I would want him on there every week. Well, no point in complaining about something that is free... I really appreciate everything the Dice Tower does as it is! Thanks guys!
Thought Jason was fine, and also lends a different voice. The chemistry isn't there, as with the original 3 - but that could be improved if he was on again. I don't mind the banter, although it becomes less funny if it's always directed at one person. Enjoyed the list though. and thought it was a very fun episode overall.
Did any of you try Ciúb (I'm looking at you. Jason)? The new dice game by Lehmann, well, one of them anyway. Looks really good, thoughts? On a side note, surprised to se Kingsburg but not Kingsport. What's wrong with it? Talk about a game going under the radar...
I did enjoy Jason's choices for the list, but awesome gets a bit old and i would like him to be more descriptive. I am really looking forward to Roll for the Galaxy. Like xbumble i enjoyed hearing about some of the less popular games that made the list like Alea Lacta Est, Trains and Stations, and Run, Fight or Die. Perhaps having a few top 10's that are revised yearly to include either only that year or the last years releases would be fun.
I picked up a copy of Roll for the Galaxy at BGG and have about a dozen plays. I fully endorse Jason's opinion. I'm big on dice games that use unique mechanics and I'm a little disappointed to not see Troyes, Castles of Burgundy or Seasons on anyone's lists.
I really wish you had the list somewhere, even if I had to link to your website. It sucks having to come back and watch this over and over to remember what game I wanted to buy.
Sorry, but I thought the addition of Jason was perfect for this trio. Great having an extra target for ribbing (I mean... being a target is part and parcel of these Top 10s!), he rolled with every punch, and he validated his opinions pretty darn well. Boatloads of chemistry, if only for the juxtaposition. Yes. Jason was awesome. (awesome awesome)
I feel Jason should contribute to the Dice Tower; and he's definitely improved his on-screen presence. However, I feel he would be more suited to Web and Podcast contributions. I don't think he does well in a group, Sam and Zee don't seem overly warm on the idea of him joining the line-up.
Agreed, I think Tom should give him his very own segment on Board Game Breakfast and leave it at that, or give him his own review show with Tom, sort of like how Sam has Miami Dice. Right now it feels like they are trying to shoe horn him in somewhere, just because...
I think Jason is a good adition. Yeah, the table may seem crowded, and he may talk a bit too much, but I don't mind if he apears on another top ten.Personally, I`d like to see him more often in the Dice Tower. The top tens are ok with Tom, Sam and Zee, but it would be cool to have a gest in some top tens.
Jason is awesome. He should be in more of these. He takes all the many jabs by the other guys with stride. I also saw his song at BGG.con. It was EPIC!!!!!
I guessed there'd be no Castles of Burgundy on this list (Feld-haters and all), but I gotta agree that leaving out Elder Sign is crazy! Good choices overall though. Can't wait for Roll Through the Galaxy and Nations Dice!
Matthew White I was wondering if Castles of Burgundy would be on there. There is a lot more going on than say, Quarriors, but I still think of all the dice aspects in Castles.
Love the video, love your top tens! As for me, I prefer quarriors to Dice masters. I bought dice masters and it broked for me when my friend showed me Quarriors. It has a better mechanic imo. But anyway, nice video again!
43:11 - In 2014: "that's the one that you've got to draw on the board?" Now, in 2018, these are known as "roll-and-write" games. It may be time to revisit this list.
Guys - I know it has been said before, but enough nasty comments about Jason. We are usually such an awesome community. He seems like a great guy, and if you are familiar with his other appearances you will know he has a very good knowledge of the subject matter. Why not have someone new in the mix every now and then :)
It was a bit awkward having Jason in the top ten...but ONLY because I've grown accustomed to it just being the three of us. Jason IS a GREAT guy, and I can't imagine our gaming group without him. I really liked that he was on this one, and I'd love to see him on future top 10's.

Alright, as you wish. I joined the PC armada and removed my post. Let's just say that I politely agree with Nathan :-)
Nice show, and welcome Jason! His presence makes a welcome contrast to the usual 3, and I look forward to his "awesome" points of view!
This kind of hate over someone, seems like bullying... disappointed about all of those harsh comments :/
Every group has "that guy"!
And I, who is mostly a "mean" and "evil" Role playing gamer defends Jason so not only boardgamers can be nice. But jokes aside I totally agree.
Being nice and criticizing are not mutually exclusive.

I've enjoyed his contributions to the Dice Tower,
Tom: "What was your criteria for dice games?"
Zee: "It has to be a dice game."
All he is doing is trying to help you out with games, why not help him out by showing some support.
having all 4 of you guys together is fantastic :) thanks for the list!
What I like about Jason is he doesn't give a crap what they say. He's a great sport
Fr huh? That's what I like about him too, n he's smart as well.
It's always fun seeing Jason in a video, he seems like a really happy guy.
Let's see.
Why isn't Jason on the thumbnail ?
Mehdi Husain
can you post Zee's the link to Zee's first appearance?
I wish I could. But I can't find it. I'll post it as soon as I find it.
;)
search 'gaming potpourri 1'.
MrBobbobthegreat Thanks !
This wasn't as awkward as I remembered it.
Nice
Two things I love about this video. Jason the the girls going crazy in the background.
I really would like to see "Top Ten house rules"
Seconded, I think that could have some serious entertainment value.
Yes - this sounds like a great "Dice Tower Con" live top ten list.
Tell us your favorite "house rules" or rule variants.
I think they should keep Jason and get rid of the other three.
:)
But then who would we make fun of?
It's nice to hear a group of gamers that are so enthusiastic about dice games. Many times I've gone to local conventions, game shops, or meet ups, and I rarely notice dice games being played... at least, that's the impression I've walked away with on several occasions.
P.S. IIRC, I think they give Jason a hard time because he always wins...
you guys are so hard on Jason.
Yeah man I'm with you. It doesn't even seem playful either.
Right. Too hard for my taste... Even not funny.
Yes indeed
While I agree with you, I think they know him better than us, he seems like the kind of people that could get hard to deal with without him meaning it.
you are proberbly rigt josephfley
This was quite entertaining. Even better than mainstream Tv. I watched it twice.
There was very few of the games that Jason mentioned that I didn't like (that I played)
Some people just have other tastes in games. Enjoyment in games vary. What I noticed though that when Zee likes a game, I usually also do and vice versa; and I presume other peoples tastes also tend to run on the same lines of 1 of the three more than the other 2.
Bob Gabriels (that said : i hate king of tokyo ...)
Maybe it's because that he can't say anything without being trashed by at least one of them.
Jason says "awesome" a lot, the three others use "great" and "cool", but never get any heat for it. They trash Jason because it's Jason, nothing else. Embarassing behavior from so called Christians.
Kristian Jensen
I didn't find it *that* annoying, but I can imagine it would get irritating really fast if he would be on every Top Ten video and would justify every entry on his list by simply saying that "It's awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome".
(that's probably quite a bad analogy... sorry)
However mostly its the format with 4 starts to break apart.
Well done!
I agree with Elder Sign! Would be on my list as well.
Bring back Jason! I really enjoyed his input, and he added variety.
I would love to see this list updated!
I love how much fun you guys have, while putting on these videos.
I love the interaction between zee and jason "cult of the unreleased" hahaha
With four people, it seemed a bit too chaotic. I really like the separate segments with just Tom and Jason.
i started this video thinking... yuk dice games, but this was very entertaining. I was cracking up with all the banter. great video, great job Jason, and keep the 4 person format.
How does it feel to look back on this and realize that you now completely agree with Jason about Roll for the Galaxy?
+Eddie Inzauto I would say it should feel awesome, because thats what roll for the galaxy is :)
Am totally glad to hear that two of my favorite games were mentioned, RA: The Dice Game & Nations: The Dice Game
The first game I thought of when I saw the title of this video was Kingsburg. I'm glad you made sure to include it. Definitely a dice game.
Everything about this video is AWESOME!
I started a drinking game, downed a shot of whiskey each time Jason said "awesome", was feeling quite good by the end of the video, lol.
Great job!
I vote for this list to be updated!
"Quiet." -- Zee
Kudos, sir. That was very funny.
Talk about a game going under the radar...
so many of these games are more board games than dice games. no love for Cthulhu Dice or Zombie Dice?
Wow! I waited for the top 10 dice games for so long!
Jason is awesome! He should be in every top ten.
The screaming in the background was freaking me out. I kept having to mute it to see if it was coming from my house. Anyway, like always, good job!
Sam's face when Jason says "look under their cups." Nice save, Sam.
Run fight or Die was one of those games that went under the radar. Definitely thematic and easy to introduce to people as well.
I like how they get on Jason about saying awesome, but Zee always says "I really really like it" about his games.
I think "Do you know what I mean?" is a regular Zee-phrase as well. :)
I'm in team Jason. You did fine:-)
I like these videos. Thank you for both the entertainment and information.
I would LOVE to see a remake of this list. I like dice games as long as the entire game isn't completely reliant on lucky rolls.
The nature of dice……is luck.
Best top ever! :) Hope to see more Jason in future ;)
Right now it feels like they are trying to shoe horn him in somewhere, just because...
g8kpr3000 I rather see him do something with Zee, i don't like how Tom interacts with him.
They could do obscure games or something.
well one thing is certain. Every time he is there, people talk about it!
Abb0able Obscure games like Lice Shower?
I think Jason is a good adition. Yeah, the table may seem crowded, and he may talk a bit too much, but I don't mind if he apears on another top ten.Personally, I`d like to see him more often in the Dice Tower.
The top tens are ok with Tom, Sam and Zee, but it would be cool to have a gest in some top tens.
The look on Zee's face throughout the video says it all.
Please remake this list! Would be so interesting knowing how new dice games have influenced you.
Dice Masters would be great if I could pick and choose my own set online... HATE collectible
Roll for the Galaxy ;)
Matthew White I was wondering if Castles of Burgundy would be on there. There is a lot more going on than say, Quarriors, but I still think of all the dice aspects in Castles.
Howdy Dice Tower...how about a top ten list for prettiest games/highest production value?!!
Love the video, love your top tens! As for me, I prefer quarriors to Dice masters. I bought dice masters and it broked for me when my friend showed me Quarriors. It has a better mechanic imo. But anyway, nice video again!
So fun to see Jason on the top ten videos!
Tumblin DIce would be a dice game in the Jason's definition of dice being used in a unique way. Totally valid as a choice.
Tumblin Dice was the first game I thought of when saw I the title of the list. I feel you Sam.
[Somewhere after 17:15] - In case anyone doesn't know, "Alea Iacta Est" is Latin
for "the die is [has been?] cast." See what they did there? :)
I like the chemistry with Zee, Sam and Tom. That's all.
Btw: What took you guys so long to do this list? It was screaming to be done! Happy to see the list now.
This is the best I've seen Jason
Everytime Sam says usually, its euuuuusuaally... Lol. these guys are great.
Roll for the Galaxy was unreleased when this came out?! Wow, lol, time and games fly so fast! Time to make a new top 10 for dice games.
really enjoyed this list, lots of games to look into.
Airships is such an underrated dice game and it is so great!
43:11 - In 2014: "that's the one that you've got to draw on the board?"
Now, in 2018, these are known as "roll-and-write" games.
