I played golf for many years and never really got good at it (on a respectable golf course of 7,000 yards I would average in the mid-90s). One day I was playing with some friends and I ask the question: if Tiger Woods knew nothing of golf and had never held a club until he was 20 years old, how long would it take him before he could beat me in a round of golf? It goes to natural talent vs practice. Anyway, it would not be beyond the realm of comprehension that he could have beaten me immediately. We figured it would probably have taken Tiger a couple of rounds.
How do you know that Tiger Woods had natural talent beyond the ordinary? Golf isn't my game, but the only way you can really tell that someone has natural talent is either by judging some aspect of their physicality (as is often done with Usain Bolt for example or Wilt Chamberlain), by judging how quickly the athlete learns, or by gauging their performance relative to obvious errors in the game. In other words, how can someone look at Tiger Woods now and conclude that he had a lot of natural talent? Why wouldn't it be practice? Practice can be more powerful than talent. Most of the top athletes in sports are workaholics. We praise their abilities, but these guys put an insane amount of work in. Athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan. In fact I believe that Michael Jordan's brother was actually more talented than he was. Tiger Woods may have a lot of natural talent, but don't assume it to be the case. Talented players have raw athletic ability or an inherent ability to see and understand sports in a way that others don't. You can succeed in many sports without being in the top percentiles for these qualities. You can for example condition your physicality, and learn to understand the game through repetition and studying.
@@TopeA8 To get to the top of the athletic heap a person needs natural talent. There are playgrounds full of kids who are willing to practice hours on end. What is required to make them elite is natural talent. This is no secret. There is a common adage, "you can't teach speed". That is "speed" in all its forms; hand speed, foot speed, etc. It pertains to an absence of quick-twitch muscles.
man my lefty is better than this. and i play right handed with a one hand bh. i always imagined two handers should have a easier time transitioning to thier non dominant hand
Nadal righthand vs Federer lefthand. I know Nadal has a huge edge but stil I would like to see if it would be a massacre from Nadal or Federer could hang on a little bit.
He's the Wimbledon's defending champion and Atp world tour finalist and AO semi-finalist. 2nd ranked in the world at nearly 32 yrs old. Hey, nowadays a damn fuck :D
No - this time it's real. Look closely at the background and you'll find that the letters are the right way round. Plus he looks much more uncoordinated with his left hand.
1) Even if I would do that, people would realize that the vid is fake. So it was clearly a joke. 2) If I had wanted some attention, I would have written fanboy stuff like "WOOOW, Federer is GOAT!!!!! Even when he plays with his left hand, he's still waaaaay better than Sampras, Nadal and Djokovic!!!" You know... Not all people on youtube are doing comments only to get thumbs ups or downs. I just wrote down the first thing that came into my mind, when I watched this. That's all.
Nadal is actually right-handed. He trained to play tennis as a lefty because it would give him an advantage since most players on the tour are right handed. Toni Nadal's idea. (his uncle)
Nadal is left handed so i think he would beat Federer pretty badly lol. I love watching the matches they play vs each other. I wish i could play at that level lol.
I would love to have seen him play against Borg in the 70’s with wooden racquets. I’m not sure who would have won that one. Both players have very similar temperaments in that nothing bothers them on the court.
Nice to see Roger play at my level..I don't feel so bad any more.
HAHAHAAAAAHAHAAHAH
I will download this, then mirror it. After that, I will upload the vid with the title "Roger Federer can't play Tennis!"
Monty Cora lol! exactly what was running in my mind 😂
Monty Cora no its very bad
genius
I did. ruclips.net/video/sjSTinDma0c/видео.html :)
People that are smart will know it's fake because the letters will be mirrored.
never seen Federer so uncomfortable on a tennis court
LOL when he serves with his left hand it's like he doesn't know how to play tennis!
hililala321
yes yessss🤣
hililala321 don't think he was trying
Exactly
It is like Rafa playing with the right hand.
@@fernandopizarrovillagarcia6992 Not really. Rafa is actually right handed. He learned to play with his left.
I'm pretty sure Federer could beat me if he stood on his hands and played with his feet.
His heyday is now
LOL really a left handed Federer can't play tennis as in the video. If you can't even beat that, you should not play
randomcon123
you are right 🤣
the point is not to beat lefty Federer ,the point is to play against a lefty Federer with your left hand (if you play with right hand normally) :)
Larry Peterson Then I'm better than you
Now he knows what its like for the rest of us
#1 in the world with his right hand #6.5billion with his left!
This video looks like from parallel universe.
I can make my girlfriend happy with my left hand...
I can do that with no hands ;)
advanced player, I see
@@lgeiger lol
Wanna see how Rafa plays with right hand
+Pete Masters Rafa is actually a natural righty, just so you know..
+pqxxedf I can brush my teeth with both hands
Rafa can actually play well with his right hand. However, Tony Nadal found out that Rafa could shoot the ball stronger with his left hand.
Uncle Toni had been preparing Rafa from the beginning to be Federer's kryptonite, I guess....
as many pointed out, Rafa is a righty. Uncle Tony forced him to use his left hand... think it's because of the ad court advantage.
Was expecting some prince of tennis shit
JJB Crew dead 😂😂😂💀💀 Ryoma 😂😂
LMAO
TWISTO SERVU!
I was expecting so much better than that.
itubeutude exactly. Me too!
I can actually play pretty well with my other hand (right) and I'm like a 3.5 USTA rated player
@@leom5671 not hard but federer doesnt do weights or anything like that and i assume u do. if not that's rlly cool still. either way that pretty cool
@@ronishpadhy910 I don't do weights. I actually have to do a two-handed back for my opposite lol.
I can confidently say I play better right handed than Federer plays left handed
Still better than me...

He almost imitated Nadal when he served.
Hard to tell the difference
I don't see any ressemblance between this ridiculously amteurish service motion and Nadal's professional style.
lol, I tried left handed a few times and think I play better left handed than Fed (I'm normally right handed too). Finally something...
this is so cute and so funny...
man my lefty is better than this. and i play right handed with a one hand bh. i always imagined two handers should have a easier time transitioning to thier non dominant hand

Wow, very clumsy for how he plays with his right hand.... other players are way better with their non preferred hand
0:15 A double-handed backhand return from Federer! 230621
I actually learned to play left too and must say I'm better than him... with the left ;-)
so adorable!
You do realise Nadal is actually right handed......he only uses left hand for tennis
Is amazing how Rogers body language change when he plays with left hand.
He plays like I play right handed
I think he would still beat me 😀
i wanna see left handed federer vs right handed nadal NOW
plays like God on right hand , plays like innocent child on left hand , you are amazing , Roger ~
It's the first time I see him using both hands at 0:16
so thats what federer looks like if he was a beginner
lol iim right and my lefty is way better than feds
Literally the greatest tennis player of all time but he looks like an absolute noob here.
I’d still lose to him with my dominant right hand
lol he can't hit one-handed backhand.
I am left handed an I am even worse
Federer is clearly a product of hardwork than talent. The video is the proof
You can't achieve this kind of success with talent, you need passion and obsession, which results in hard work and the talent naturally comes
that cute
Ah, I can finally say I play better than Federer !
The only time i could ever win a point against Federer
The quality of tennis should be based on how well you play using your feet.
I can't fucking believe it...I'm a better tennis player than (left-handed) Roger Federer!
Well, If Federer is going to play like that, beating him would be a walk in the park for me.
1) Even if I would do that, people would realize that the vid is fake. So it was clearly a joke.
2) If I had wanted some attention, I would have written fanboy stuff like "WOOOW, Federer is GOAT!!!!! Even when he plays with his left hand, he's still waaaaay better than Sampras, Nadal and Djokovic!!!"

FYI to tennis newbies: Federer actually plays right-handed, this video is obviously mirrored to make it look like he plays left-handed
Nadal is actually right-handed. He trained to play tennis as a lefty because it would give him an advantage since most players on the tour are right handed. Toni Nadal's idea. (his uncle)
his left hand is so underdeveloped. I bet he was struggling to hold the racket
Nadal is left handed so i think he would beat Federer pretty badly lol. I love watching the matches they play vs each other. I wish i could play at that level lol.
i can't find the exact vid i watched.
However just typed in "federer double backhand" and there're quite a few videos!(which i didnt expect any)
really? do you know if there's a video of that? because this one he's using his left hand but it would be great to see him with his right hand.
Well I think if Federer plays with the left I have a chance to win!!! XD
bet you roger was playing down just to amuse the crowd and he could prob hit his shots as a lefty pretty well except for the serve.
Hes playing like the people in the front row
Oh wow i didn't know that thanks for the info.
It's crazy to see that you are in top comments 2 times and to know that I will never get any like on this comment ._.
awwww- this is the real baby Federer not that bulgarian fake wannabe
He imitates nadal.. double hand backhand.. shoulder down at end....😁😂
no its not trained je write with right and football/tennis with left
doesn't matter at all
This is the great Federer everyone talks about? I've seen Nadal play and he's clearly better.
it's funny how his whole body movement changed as soon as he started playing with his left
the great Roger Federer...fumbling with a racket XD
And that's how a billion-dollar tennis player managed to make himself look like a n00b.
Roger looked like an amateur😂😂
funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So he is human afterall
No wonder his left arm is so skinny, it's totally under used by the Fedmeister.
Wow is that actually how he plays lefty??? you would think with all the hours hes put in on the court he would've practiced that more...
why would he, though? xD
This is the Roger I have a chance against, snap his racquet string as a good measure aqnd glue him to the court as well.
HOLY FUCK SO FUCKING FUNNY OMG THE NEXT COMEDIC GENIUS
Roger you are so funny when you play left hand!!
Wow, who is this guy? He's not very good at tennis :)
if you write Roger Federer- all two handed backhand you will see more!
He did well judging that he only uses his right hand in tennis
he can only play with one hand? the GOAT embarrassing
rofl SO WEIRD SEEING THE GREATEST EVER TENNIS PLAYER BEING SO UN-CO
why would he practice lefty if he's right-handed
Glad to know I could easily beat federer if he played with his left hand.
hes just messing around everybody knows fed can play left handed
THEN MAKE AN ANIMATION, 'CAUSE IT 'AINT HAPPENING IN REAL LIFE!
even he playing with left-hand he's better than me :)
I can beat him!!! :D
lol indeed.. must've been quite a sad feeling for the guy
we should have a match between Federer playing with left hand and Nadal playing with right hand. Ofcourse Federer will win
chaith1701 Not really. Nadal used to play with his right hand. And then his uncle made him switch hands. So he's probably omnidextrous
I can now confidently say im ready to take on Federer. mom, I made it!!
I laughed a lot. :3
oh god im so sorry....hope that you can forgive me
despite the obvious fed discomfort here he still has a great follow through with his rackets this guys got potential ;)
Hey we all know the cheap trick with the mirror!
keep in mind he doesn't have a 2 handed backhand. he does everything with his right
It's the only way to beat federer at tennis :p
Im confused because federerer is right handed?
finally he plays at my level :-)
no wonder he got knocked out
I would love to have seen him play against Borg in the 70’s with wooden racquets. I’m not sure who would have won that one. Both players have very similar temperaments in that nothing bothers them on the court.
Nadal plays better left-handed. GOAT? As if.
He can´t even win one with his right hand.
No he's won 17
