Zeus Custom is one of the most decorated name in Southeast Asia. Really love how they can make any bike looks stunning and you can immediately tell it comes from Zeus Custom work.
I've been following this channel for 5 years. Inspired by Racer TV, I customized my pulsar 180 to a simple yet beautiful cafe racer. Thank you, Racer TV.. -from Nagaland, India.
Cafe racers are way cool, always wanted to put a sportster engine into an English frame. Now that I am older I bought a Kawasaki w800 Cafe. My next thing to do is to make my own from an old Japanese machine, not sure yet what bike but I will know when I see it. Old school has soul new school is plastic fantastic. Great video gives me inspiration and great advice. Wish I could have been a Rocker but I am glad to be a ton up boy.
It's great to see an individual cafe racer.... and also very interesting to see the variety of builds from Zeus (and other builders) to show their range of creativity/ability... and over time, so see how their skills improved. As always, thank you Sir!
It is like when you see a good movie based on the past, the magic comes from the fact that you can't tell when it has been done, you just can apreciate the good production. A good clasic looking machine is timeless. Saludos!
Keep it simple! that phrase is the essence of the Cafe Racer ... another project that proves it even more is the one of Honda Cb450 Twin year 1972 from Crooked Motorcycles. So I hope you take my comment to make a video. Greetings and excellent channel keep it up.
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. The Honda Cb450 Twin is beautiful. But personally, I would love to see it with a shorter front suspension, and the seat a bit longer. But thank you for the sugestion :) Cheers.
This is a practical, simple machine that looks very beautiful once it’s stance has been modified by a builder like Zeus. Very nice work. Your choice exemplifies the ability he has. As always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café racers only choice! Ride safe dear friend! Cheers....
When I was younger, I bought in to the "big and flashy" mindset. In my older years, simple became the rule. Chrome and paint won't get you home. Zeus custom has their finger on the pulse of what a Cafe Racer should be...
The 500 was a fabulous engine. Although it wasn’t counterbalanced, I tricked one up with White Power components , poured $3000 (AU) into it, and surprised the shit out of many larger current model sportbikes( this was around ‘92-93). The rest of the bike was a bit ratty, as I started on the motor first and it was a daily ride/ custom build concurrently. But she was my favourite of all the bikes I’ve had, and not much beat me through the Adelaide Hills twisties. Scary fast in a straight line as well. And it revved hard , by the stock tacho over 8000, but felt like a giant sewing machine! My wife said it felt like riding a V8 motor. To put it into context, it held it’s own against Suzi RGV250s. Honestly.
Another nice project by Zeus. Thanks. Most of his projects look similar and they put one in that cafe racer position. For me, it is not the ideal posture for medium to longer rides. Maybe around town, or a riders exposition, but I find it not ergonomically feasible for practicality. As far as just looks and not riding engineering....looks great.
Yes, cafe racer motorcycles are not appropriate for long trips. But even so, I already made 400 km trips in one day on my Honda CX 650 cafe racer, and all I can say, it is possible. :) Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
My first bike was a Yamaha DT250 -- Very similar to the bike this was built from. But it was a 2-stroke, and would have been quite a sporty bike with a low-exit Expansion Chamber pipe. As an older bike, it did not have the disc brakes -- which I would ADD to a current build -- and I would go with a 'flat' top-mount handle-bar, rather than the 'clip-ons'... Cut away the rear of the fender, stretch the swingarm just a bit..add the Perfect tires... and GO !!
Great video Racer, as always. Zeus Custom build some very cool bikes that, like you say are timeless. I just love that old timeless look. Ride safe and stay safe mate. Cheers .
i was looking for a Cafe Racer, and Husqvarna 250 Vitpilen has caught my eye. I would have bought the 400cc variant, but not yet available in my country, India. May be next year it might come. I love the color white and the closest to white is Husqvarna 400cc (250 & 700cc ones are silver & dark grey). I am forced to buy the 250cc as a compromise. Second chief reason for my interest is its light weight (154 kg). I am a short guy, 5'6" tall & 46 years of age, ... can't handle or manage 190 Kilogram bikes. Once it tilts on one side, i have to put it down, and ask someone to help me lift it to upright position. There are no good Customisers in my city. Kindly suggest or advise. Thanks.
It is just a matter of riding experience and confidence. I am just 4 cm taller than you, and I ride also a 1992 BMW K1 with 260kg. But I think a 200kg motorcycle (like Royal Enfield 650) is perfect. Not too heavy, and not too light. Cheers.
@@RACER_TV Thanks Sir for the reply. Sorry for my delayed response. I took a test drive of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 few months back and had found it too heavy. Otherwise I would have bought it by now. Price-wise, it's lowest in it's class. Probably no other bike comes at such affordable price, which is a great thing. Unfortunately I can't buy it. I can't even wait till the KTM Duke-390 gets available back again here, or I would get it modified/customised, into a Cafe Racer. One customs bike shop had successfully finished a Duke 390 project, converted it into a beautiful (white coloured) bike. Their name is "Rajputana Customs", but it's based in another city, little far away from mine.
Disagree. The sr is a beauty in and of itself. It's already minimal and has the look that grabs your eye. I have never found a reason to change anything. Not saying there is anything wrong with his bikes, as you say, he does it right.
I doubt it'd race anywhere on those tyres. Leave the bike as standard as it left the Yamaha factory. Enjoy some Japanese beauty, practicality (mud guards, proper foot rests) and comfort (decent handle bars, quiet exhaust, plump saddle).
I want to start a project with a nighthawk I had since 2008. I really would like some advices for my project. From Honduras with respect to all bikers.

Indeed. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
😮 Zeus what ...?
Zeus are soon going to be world famous.
Their bikes are outstandingly brilliant 👏
Little things, little components make a great bike. A wonderful eternal motorcycle. With soul. With spirit. Fascinating.
❤️❤️ Zeus Customs have a passion about Cafe Racer style
do they make you wear sexy underwear?
Zeus is one of the best cafe racer custom designers in the world. I like his vision of what he can do with any bike.
Nothing more cool than a chassis, two wheels, an engine and it's ready to ride!
And ready to take abuse

Excellent example of a classic SR400 based cafe racer, brilliantly executed.

Que moto mais linda, parece simples, funcional, rápida e com visual despojado, da vontade de sair pilotando sem rumo!

Lol. Thank you my friend for your kind comment. :) Cheers.
O tipo de projeto que relembra o inicio da nova onda cafe racer, lá por 2004, 2005. Gosto muito dessa pegada.
I have one of these bikes (2014) but these have been in continuous production since 1978 so yes they Are timeless.

Awesome
I have cruiser from past 8 years
But always wanted a Cafe racer because of its simplicity
Great video as always

@Peter Evan, and what is the context you are trying to relate to this thread, might I ask?

should be real blast to ride this in rain...in Indian roads
Classic machine 👍
The motorcycle is very nice except for the exhaust radius so large it is distracting, hope it doesn't rub the front tire. :-)
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. Curiously, I love the rounded shape of the tailpipe. :) Cheers.
I agree, I like the round tail pipe also , it is the header link pipe I have a problem with.
Yes keep it simple!
This is a forever bike

Wow...Awesome ...!!!
Awesome bike! 👍
Nice. Thank you.

Pretty nice but a little silly. The Phat front tire is a bit overused by now though.
Linda máquina

Anyone know the tire sizes used in this build? I have a Yamaha SR400 and would like to use these Coker Classic tires.
Projeto lindo
I am looking forward to my next vacation in Bangkok, primarily as I am looking forward to a stop at Zeus.
Hope they paint it in chrome and brown seat and chrome spoke
Which looks more classic
Yes, some people prefer the black mate to chrome. Personaly, I agree with you on this one. :) Cheers.

The Coker Tires looks like the old 60s Goodyear Eagles. And I believe Coker still makes a runoff Goodyear super eagle.
I doubt it'd race anywhere on those tyres. Leave the bike as standard as it left the Yamaha factory. Enjoy some Japanese beauty, practicality (mud guards, proper foot rests) and comfort (decent handle bars, quiet exhaust, plump saddle).
