So, this all canonically takes place in the mid to late 90’s, huh? Lemme check the timeline real quick… - Shadow’s creation by Gerald is still canon, but we do not know if Black Doom is still involved or if Maria’s condition is limited by just her NIDS. I still think she’s a Supernatural, which would explain Shadow’s purpose of creation and why she looks so young 20 years later. - GUN apparently did not raid the ARK, if it even existed in the first place. The government, desperate to stop the threat of the Supernaturals, seemingly admire Gerald’s work. Thus, he likely died naturally of old age, or maybe from a mishap in the lab. - Something probably to do with Maria’s unknown half of her condition (Supernatural) caused some kind of event where Shadow was either taken away or ran away. They likely had to find each other again 20 years later. - Scientists used Shadow’s DNA as a base for “Creating” experiments to combat the threat. (Wouldn’t surprise me if Surge and/or Kit was a part of it lol) - Sonic was probably a test subject of some kind. - Mobians were created (???????) by these tests. Tails is just another addition. - Tails is born (??????????) - Maria and Shadow find each other again - SaVe ThE wOrLd And Eggman is probably involved one way or another. This is all just speculation btw, do not take this timeline too seriously yet. Dump a whole mound of salt on it and then you can take it. For real though, this AU already has so much backstory and substance, and all we have so far is 2 art timelapses! Seriously, that is an incredible feat, being able to tell such a broad story with just an image or two! The colors and backgrounds are amazing by the way. I really love what you did in this one especially, with all the little details in the background that are so subtle yet noticeable! Like this looks like an actual science lab! Genuinely great job. Really. I couldn’t get such beautiful backgrounds even if I tried! 💖🤩👏 IMPORTANT EDIT: I said two timelapses because I didn’t know that THERE ARE MORE???????
