You 2 are absolutely awesome!!! I love your videos!!! I’m so tired of “Thrift with me” videos! Now you’re giving me ideas on how to level up my business. THANK YOU!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for the kind comment! We definitely wanted to make our channel as education based as possible and appreciate you noticing that! (Though I will admit I do love a good thrift with me haha)
I have a part time ebay business for the past 3.5 years (work full time at another job). At this point, I think I am a very good sourcer (and your videos have helped me get so much better at style aesthetics and keywords). I would have NEVER considered doing something like this.....but now you have me thinking......I live 10 miles outside of a big city and am so fortunate to have access to great thrifts stores and the bins - literally more good inventory than I could ever sell. I am going to replay this video and think about it.... Like many resellers, I just LOVE the sourcing and have the energy for it. :) Bethany, I am a (much) older version of you (a young 60 year old haha). I have so much enthusiasm for the clothing esp the vintage and just enjoy and respect the pieces so much! (if that makes sense). Love your videos, Bethany and Sean. TY!
Dude. I love the fact that you are so relaxed. Hair all jacked up and teaching us. Make me relaxed and listening. You guys are awesome for sure. Thank you!!!
Haha Sean’s hair has been tamed since the video but he laughed at this and loved it! Thank you so much for watching and commenting we both appreciate you :)
This is very helpful. The way you guys are picking out quality items instead of junk and making a profit is amazing. Also the Austin bins resellers are probably relieved y’all left lol
Thank you for watching and commenting! And haha we have to go through quite a bit of junk to get to the good stuff 😅 and honestly in Austin there were some reaaaaaally good resellers for sure, but I’m sure that less competition anywhere is helpful haha
You guys are so inspiring!! I sell vintage clothing and home decor in an antique mall (very successful!), but would love to branch out…what a great idea for a 5 year plan! 🙌🏻
100%! There are SO many ways to make money as a reseller - the skill set is so strong and that’s one of the things I love so much about it! Thank you for watching and commenting we appreciate you :)
I am a mom with a 1 yr old and sourcing is hard with a little one in tow. Properly comping items is nearly impossible. So you are completely correct, this is an incredible service for resale moms. ❤️
Or even a course of what sells in each platform better (in this case for the reseller), I only sell on eBay so that’s what I’m good at but would love to learn what sells well in other platforms. You guys are doing such an awesome job!
Thanks so much! We appreciate the kind words. We do have a course/mentorship program called resellers edge university where we have videos, course materials, a Facebook group, and 3x live weekly coaching calls - if you’re interested you can definitely check it out!
Thank you for this video!! I have been a reseller for two years and want to transition to wholesale! This video was so helpful ❤ I am already starting to form relationships with potential clients however I am struggling with how I should price my items and also how you handle shipping. Any input would be so valuable to me! Thank you ❤
Hi there! Congrats on starting your transition into wholesale, so happy you found this video to be helpful. Pricing will be different depending on your COGs, whether you include shipping or not and how much that costs you, and what you’re wanting to profit per piece. A range could look as low as $5 per piece up to $10+ per piece for bread and butter pieces. It varies very widely on many factors for sure. As far as shipping is concerned, Sean and I have always used pirateship!
@@TrashPandasThrift thanks for your reply!! Ok I am just experimenting with my pricing and I guess I can always go up later 😊 and thanks for the pirate ship tip for shipping! Also, do you guys have a template for a spreadsheet to keep track of your sales? I'm assuming to record the number of items, cogs, profits but am I missing anything? Thank you!
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment :) we do have a coaching program that we co-run with another reselling team and aside from reselling on platforms, we do also teach wholesale in that program! There are several Facebook groups that connect resellers with wholesalers too - one that we know the group mod is called “Resellers connection with wholesalers/pickers”
? I understand the freesom of not doing individual listings. How do you communicate what you have available to your buyers? A video? Thank you for such great information and inspiration
Hi! There are many ways to show your buyers what you have - we mentioned them in the video and you could also do video calls or send a video too! We personally ship our packages out and have our clients select them once they’ve been received. :) thank you for your comment and for watching!
Great video, thank you! I was wondering if you sell each piece for $7.50 no matter what the item is? For example, regardless of whether it’s a tank top or jacket, is it still $7.50 each? Also, are you checking STR on every single item you source? Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi! Great question :) we charge $6.50 - $7.50 right now for pieces that would sell for around the $35+ ASP with a relatively strong sell through rate. If the tank top and jacket both had a similar asp and sell through rate, then yes! We are not comping every single item because we have been doing this for quite a long time and have also have a good grasp on current trends/brands/asp’s/STR of these pieces. If we aren’t sure, we of course comp! Also, we allow our clients to select pieces they want so they are welcome to leave behind any pieces they don’t feel confident they can sell for a price they’re happy with.
Hi! We are currently not accepting Amy clients as we’ve reached our max capacity for sourcing - we’re hoping this video may inspire others to start wholesaling too to provide this much needed service to the community!
GREAT INFORMATION. My son is joining me to help with my business and I would like to get into wholesale because me and him together we source great items. I’m not a RUclipsr so do you think it would be hard to get clients?
Hi! That’s so awesome for you and your son and sounds extremely exciting! Sean and I had basically zero following on any social media and did not have our RUclips channel until less than a month ago! Also, the demand for good wholesalers is SO high in the reseller community you should have no problem finding clients :)
Do you guys use boxes or poly mailers to ship your wholesale items? If Polymailers what size do you use? I need to purchase some I just don't know which size
Hi there! We use polymailers to ship our wholesale, but do know some who use boxes. We use different sizes sometimes, and also compress the items to be as small as possible. 17x22, 19x24 & 24x24 would likely be the best options to try out and see what works for your items shipping style!
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your comment :) we go into depth about our entire wholesale process in our reseller group, and we can definitely think on making more videos regarding wholesale in the future!
We wanted to move to San Francisco! We prioritized our happiness and life wants, and figured out how to grow the business in San Francisco to selling less items and making close to the same amount of income. We chose happiness :)
Hello guys!, we are your followers, and we were looking forward to your video! If possible, guys, please turn on the subtitles option, because we do not understand English very well, we are just learning. Thank you very much!❤❤❤
Can someone who currently has en eBay store already selling clothes maybe test the waters wholesaling lots on eBay to see what works then maybe move outside Ebay once you feel comfortable that you can do it? Im thinking of selling smaller lots on eBay first (5-25 piece lots) Thx for any feedback.
Hi! Personally I wouldn’t sell lots on eBay itself - the goal for wholesaling the way that we do is to resell to other resellers, which might be harder to target on eBay itself, and also the fees, shipping costs, potential for platform issues, etc. would make me hesitant to sell reseller lots on eBay. You certainly CAN, definitely not saying it’s not possible, but I would much prefer to reach out on social media or even post in Facebook groups or other communities that you’re offering those lots. You’ll keep a MUCH higher percentage, you’ll have full control over the shipping process, and you won’t have to worry about platform issues because you’ll be dealing direct with buyers. -Sean
Sean and I are originally from Brooklyn, New York and missed being in a city with public transit, walkability, diverse restaurants and cultures, etc. We visited San Francisco in July of last year, fell in love and moved 3 months later!

so do you guys do your regular reselling business plus wholesaling? Or just wholesaling right now?
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting :) we wholesale and sell on whatnot mostly, and occasionally will list some higher end items on eBay
I would love to be a wholesaler but don't live near a bins so not possible. Hope more resellers who live close to good bins pick up on this!!
Maybe you guys can create a course for wholesale and have a list of those people so we can buy from them.
