I personally loved the long class hours, i learned so much, and I was heavily invested. Had an AMAZING instructor, I’m currently on the LAST step after graduating and that’s just the NREMT. I wish class was longer lol.
@@ab86ed I just got through midterms, fuckin adventure 😂 best advice I can give is read the fuck out of the book. It sucks but it's the truth. Book. Book. Book. Also get a study group asap, most classes are stiff at first but get comfortable quick. make friends to study with and read the book!
@@ILoveFood0911 thank you so much for the advice! I have EMT crash course book, I noticed that chapter 7, Anatomy/Physiology/ Medical Terminology is the most important one before starting my training so i am doing my best to know as much as i can and yes I am losing it 😵💫😵💫
4 months… try 7 weeks😁 don’t recommend these shorter classes, I’m on week 5 now, haven’t retained much. The longer the better, you’ll be able to practice and study a lot more and focus your training on the specific chapter.
In California it’s about 290 for the class fee, 300 for the books they suggested , another 100 for blood pressure cuff and stethoscope, about 250 for the pants, two shirts, tactic boots and belt and black belt… and keep in mind lunch and gas.
And if you have visible arm tattoos you’re gonna have to buy two under long sleeve shirts to cover them up. And I say two cause nobody wants to wash the same shirt every day
I have zero knowledge, if I were to go into a class straight outta high school with no knowledge what should I prepare for and do and if I should learn prior knowledge for a better experience, where should I get this info?
Don't get into EMS for the pay, from what I hear, at least in the States, it shit. There are more opportunities down the line if you become a Paramedic or Flight Medic, or if you go into Nursing you can make several times what you'd make as an EMT. It's great for the experience and the connections but not for the $$$.
Hello sir i was failed the emt basic (HAAD)exam 😢😢i was worked very much but i don't know.. Can you please help me.. And tell some tips to pass the exam.. And please share some model question

Thank you for the advice. I start EMT school in 4 weeks
You’re welcome! Good luck!! You got this
Paramedic coach will walk you through the EMT knowledge you need to know in order to pass NREMT.
I just fail my midterm test. I’m so sad.
For me the harder thing is to understand the language.
I have how they give you so many trick question.
The questions are tough I’m sorry to hear that:( download one of the NREMT apps and study on that it will help a lot
Passed my EMT school did a 6 week program do not recommend 9 chapters weekly…

Watch videos on it! I’m now a medic & I did EMT right out of high school as well. Paramedic coach & taking EMT prep questions helped me a lot.
My first day is tomorrow I’m so nervous but happy at the same time
@@Mariem.01. good luck!!
@@jamesgrihalva2114 thank you!
Hi. I was wondering if your quizzes were multiple choice based or open. Or maybe both? Thanks.
They were multiple choice, but the way that they are set up could be different depending on where you are going to school.
Thanks for this advice
I’m glad it helped!
I’m doing it in 3 weeks 50 pages a day man we’re doin 3-4 chapters a day
Were you reading emergency care brady....
is the orange book, emt basic training good to access for studying
Yes I used that one and it was great
How’s the pay ??
It depends on the area but not great, from $12 an hour to $17 an hour

Don’t. Prepare prepare prepare !!
It will definitely be harder but I would say if you’re willing to put in the work you can do it!
How would you recommend preparing?
