    Great video! I made a 5.5 lb chicken in my Emeril French door 360 last night. Did 400° for 1hr 15 min. Crispy skin and juicy chicken. Rotisserie prongs were a pain but I think practice with them will make it easier for me. Thank you for your video!

    It’s flopping because the legs are loose. The string from the legs should be stretched to the other side of the rotisserie rod when inserting. That should solve the flop. Great video!

    I really enjoyed watching the video of you making that rotisserie chicken. But I tried something a little different, and that was to put my whole chicken inside of a Reynolds Oven Bag. (Since I don't like to eat the skin of the chicken, I peeled the skin off of the chicken. Then I put all kinds of spices and barbecue sauce in the chicken.) I lowered the Airfry temperature to 350 degrees, and I set the timer for 43 minutes. (I didn't put any holes in the oven bag, and I put a tablespoon of white flour inside the bag and shook it real good before I put the chicken inside of the bag. That's to keep the oven bag from bursting, according to the oven bag instructions.) Then I set it to "Airfry". I put the Pizza Rack in position 6 (slow cook position) and on top of that I put the Baking Pan. Then in position 5 (reheat/bake/roast position) I put the Crisper Tray.....and I put the whole chicken which was inside of the oven bag on top of the Crisper Tray. Then I turned on the "Airfry" by pushing the "Start button".....and I let it do its thing. The results: A very clean oven when it was all done, because the chicken was cooked inside the oven bag.....and the chicken was absolutely moist, tender and delicious.

    Thanks to your video I was sold on this xl oven. I made this chicken and yes it did start burning 5 minutes before the timer finished! It’s pretty scary actually if you’re not paying attention. But I opened the oven door and let smoke out so it wasn’t too bad. And yes that mechanism needs to be 3 or more pronged. I rotisseries a 5 lb at 360 for 1.5 ish hours. It was delicious. I was pleased.

    Man, you worked hard to cook this! Thanks for your patience. I see in the sub-continent that is India and Pakistan, they do cut like two inches(2-3 on both sides) gap to the rib bone over the breast and back side of the chicken. By this, the spices and proper heat reach more deeper into the whole chicken. I hope that other people will learn from you how to make this recipe nicely.

    You may have better lucks skewering the chicken without the skewer tines facing each other, thus avoiding slop when rotating. That is, one set of tines goes in horizontally while the second set goes in vertically.

    Sir I see the shaft moving when the chicken “flops” - it’s not just the skewer prongs ...
    I just got my 360XL this week and today roasted a Chicken on the rotisserie, and mine had that same loose action when the chicken went over, and mine hesitated longer on the up cycle ...
    These concern me ... this loose jerky motion is not good for the gears or motor...

      Not necessarily, manual page 13 mentions you have the _option_ to turn it off. And you have the option with many functions, to turn off the air fryer fan. But they don't recommend you turn it off. It is up to the user. I find it turned out well with it on.

    My chicken really flops, dances shimmies, then 1/2 falls lower. I've managed to burn my hands and arms reaching in. They need to change to 3 prongs and something to get whatever is on rotisserie off. Burns HURT //

      Some people tie the chicken to the rotisserie to keep chicken from flopping over...also center chicken as best you can 😀

    Isn't the grease dripping on the coils a fire hazard?

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  3 года назад

      No,.most never touches the coils and the little that does burns off without any flair up. But just cook the chicken in a pan without the rotisserie if you have concerns.

    4 lb weight capacity on cooker.6lb.chicken= strange sounds from cooker.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  4 года назад

      It can hold more than 4 pounds. And you will get the noise without using the rotisserie. The noise is from the fan and happens whenever the fan runs for an extended period of time.

      I've seen a chicken truss better, but I have had better days at it. All the same the cooker can handle cooking the chicken, which was the real goal 😋
