Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe:
8 tablespoon or 1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt (kosher)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/3 cups AP flour
1 cup large chocolate chips
In a saucepan, melt the butter on medium heat and let it continue to foam up to create browned butter. Remove from heat once it’s golden brown and let cool completely.
In a large bowl, combine the white sugar and brown sugar with the butter. Mix well then add an egg. Mix again and add vanilla, salt, and baking soda. Once it’s a ribbon-like consistency, add the flour and chocolate chips. Stir until everything is combined.
Scoop into round dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with finishing salt if desired. Chill 10 minutes if you’d like and bake for 9-10 minutes at 350º F.
Cool and serve
Thin and Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe:
8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup salted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup AP flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
In a saucepan, melt the butter. You can make browned butter if you’d like or just leave it melted but cooled completely.
In a large bowl, combine white sugar, and brown sugar. Add the butter and mix well. Next, add the egg again until you get the gel consistency. Then add the vanilla, baking soda, salt, and milk. Mix again. Once it’s combined, stir in flour and chocolate chips. The dough might be a little wet and hard to scoop. You can put in the fridge to firm up for 10 minutes.
Once ready, scoop small balls onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If needed, put in the freezer for 5 minutes while the oven heats up. Bake at 375 degrees for 14-15 minutes until it’s completely flat and evenly browned. You want it to be crispy throughout. Cool completely and enjoy.

But now...will it air fry? ruclips.net/video/gEVS65jM6uA/видео.html
I have a question.. so I came across a RUclips video where this lady uses a cookie dough that’s plain and makes different cookies with the same dough, would I be able to add oats into this recipe as is?
@@seadaradoncic2520 thank you so much
A classic recipe!!! Love the addition of brown butter.
I’ve made your brown butter chocolate chip cookies before and they’re delicious! Love thick and chewy cookies. Almost underbaked ☺️❤️
can i know what the specific measurements of ur cup , i mean what gram of flour or sugar that u used?
@@aisyahnajihah4473 our cups are 250 g
would not adding baking soda be a big deal and is the brown sugar necessary
Have made your cookie recipe multiple times don't even need a recipe anymore they're delicious
The thick and chewy cookies are always a hit for me. I’ve definitely made it more than 10 times. Excited to try the thin and crispy version 😊
can i know what the specific measurements of ur cup , i mean what gram of flour or sugar that u used?
I’m a friend from Bethlehem AD of Mark and Keit and I just baked your thick and chewy recipe for the children I babysit, and they are THE BEST cookies I ever baked. My old oven is not so good with “normal times” of baking so I checked them at 10 minutes but needed to bake more like 13 or so minutes. But they are perfect and my kids will be so happy when I give them the cookies today to celebrate a special occasion. All the best to you and Nate and your adorable children (cooking with them video really made me laugh). God bless, Minette
My kids wanted me to thank you for giving us the best chocolate chip recipe! We’re big fans of your recipe, and all other cookies they encounter are always going to be compared to yours! 🤤 ❤🍪 🍪🍪
Finally!!! Been waiting for the thin and crispy cookies recipe since you posted it on IG!! Thank you for always sharing your new recipes!! 🤍 Love lots x
🥰🥰

Thick and chewy for me.
I used this recipe yesterday to create the thick and chewy kind..and oh..my..goodness! They are NEXT LEVEL!!
P.s love your channel. Thank you so much xxx
My family and I are team thick and chewy! I’ve already made that version of cookies about 6-8 times. We looove them. I will never go back to toll house recipe ever again ! Thank you for sharing your amazing recipe.!!! 🥰
I tried the chewy cookies and they were so good and now I make them all the time!!!
I tried out the recipe and it’s amaZing I ended up substituting the dark brown sugar for the light brown sugar and the taste was amazing!
so happy you loved it!
I have to say thick and chewy are my favorite the softer the better 🤤 😋
You are so generous with your recipes! Thanks a bunch! We’ve been using your recipes since forever. 🧡🧡 im a fan!
Thick and chewy...which is why they're best while still warm. I hated cookies for a long time because so many are hard/crunchy and not moist. I like mine moist as opposed to eating crunchy and dry sand. Unless it's something like a lady finger, biscotti, or Florentine cookie...which were born to be rather dry and crunchy. :)
I am the exact same way. I don’t really like crunchy cookies, but love my cookies soft and chewy.
Made the thick and chewy and they’re the best ones I’ve ever made! Thank you for the recipe 😋
Hey Honeysuckle! Although I have struggled on 1:28 and more mistakes on the measurements, it was very fun to do! Since I didn’t have a cookie scooper with release I just used it as a measurement then I rolled it up into ball and I was able to make 18 cookies 🍪,while my family and LOVED it and I definitely do many, many, many more times! thanks❤❤❤
I used one of 3 types of chocolate chips- Ghirardelli 69%, guotttard 68, or Costco's semi-sweet chocolate chips. Right now I'm eating sugar-free so I've been using Lily's chocolaty chips. They are reality good.
I love thin and crispy chocolate chip cookies. If you live near a Market Basket they sell thin and crispy cookies in a clear bag that has a ribbon tied around it
Omg, I love your thick & chewy, I’ve made them a lot, maybe 20 times!
I now have to try the thin & crispy!!!
This was such a great baking cookie lesson! Because no always wondered what makes a thin crispy cookie nf all the elements you explained really ales a lot of sense and you figured out the recipe which bid the hard part ! I’m making a batch for. Coworker so I may go with the thick and chewy but I personally like the thin and crispy which I may make cookies! another time I hope it makes enough cookies!
Thin and crispy! Love this recipe thanks so much for sharing
Just tried your thin and crispy recipe, it was really good 😊
It was a real pleasure watching your video. Your presentation was awesome without any uh's or um's... And no unnecessary words like basically or actually or I'm going to so thank you
Oops just made my first batch of chocolate chip with unsalted! It's cool she is honest about mix-up. They were still great! We all cook and make mistakes, even our teachers.
Honestly my ideal cookie is soft, warm and tender. I typically make small batches of cookies so I can get them warm 😎
Was looking for the perfect recipe and now found it. Thank you so much 🥰
Where isthe recipe
Thanks for sharing your cookie recipe! And whenever I make them, my family & friends loved it. Brown butter really is the BEST. Cookies taste heaven!🍪😊
no way!! i have made the original chocolate chip cookies recipe about a million times now, they are an absolute hit in my family! i am so excited to try this recipe out =D
I’m back to say I made the cookies 🍪 and they came out delicious. I must say though that I made the Thin & Crispy but I reversed the amounts between the brown sugar & the white and still came out great. Very much obliged.😊
I doubled the. Recipe of the thick ones and they came thin and crispy oh well! ❤️😀but delicious! I put the dough in the fridge to firm it up for the next batch won’t spread so much ! Amazing non the less! The good butter and browning it is a game changer! Gives it a caramel taste!! The dough is amazing too oops😝
Love it 😍 my first batch of cookies accomplished thank you 😘😘
I'm going to bake the crispy cookies tonight! They look so good, worth the recipe testing that I saw on your Instagram!
Hows it? I’m gonna try the crispy cookie tonight too
@@Vlynlow09 @vlyn low They were pretty good for the effort, but I didn't find them crispy enough, and they were too sweet for my taste. I think Claire Saffitz has a great recipe for chocolate chip cookies that can be made crispy by skipping the chilling step, and baking for a few more minutes.
@@yahshimabetsellassie1405 thanks for replying! Yea I made them, too tooo tooo sweet for my taste too. I used brown sugar instead of dark brown sugar.
I’m checking out on Claire’s recipe now. Thanks!
A bit aside, I recommend getting an oven thermometer in general. My oven was slower to warm up than expected and so in the past my cookies were undercooked. These look so good that it would be a shame for anyone's cookies to not get right b/c the oven wasn't accurate!
Right!---I've learned this recently myself. Now I'm reading everywhere to "know your oven" and use recipe times as a general guide only.
Pls I was looking for a good recipe and u just showed up on my notifications section THANK U M SO GRATEFUL
I always love a good chocolate chip cookie recipe!!!!
I LOVE chocolate chip cookies 😍 I love the chewy ones 😊
I baked your yummylicious chocolate chip (thicker) cookie and WOW WOW WOW... my go-to Chocolate-chip !!!!
I love your recipe! I make it all the time. Thank you!
I just made your crispy cookies and I love them. Thanks, you have a new subscriber 🥰
Agreed!
I love love love your chocolate chip cookies recipe and now I have a new option to try! Thanks, Dzung, can't wait for more new videos 😍♥️
Both options look so so so good!!

yay!! i love the thin and crispy too. just make sure to bake it aaaaall the way crispy! like it should come out already crispy out of the oven
I made them at it was so sweet 😭😭😭 yalls sugar tolerance is something else fr
I love thick and chewy chocolate chip cookies.
First ever cookies i baked! They are good! Thanks for the recipe!
Please make a video on double chocolate chip cookies ❤
Cookies when I was growing up in the 50's were thick and crispy. The art is gone. I HATE soft cookies.
Shut up
That sounds horrible. Thats the equivalent of cooking a 2 inch thick ribeye well done. Who the hell would want a crispy and thick cookie??
@@khabibnurmagomoodov9287 Steak and cookies? Stupid comparison.
@@Caseydid you can easily make a crispy cookie thats thin and delicious. By the time a thick cookie is crispy its just an overcooked hockey puck. Thin and chewy cookies with a crispy edge are what i would call art! Everyone has their own preferences but yours is wrong respectfully.
@@khabibnurmagomoodov9287 with all due respect, crunchy cookies are not over cooked. Just like the soft cookies are not under cooked. It depends on the ingredients in the recipe. Today’s cookies are cake like. I don’t care for them. I have recipes for crispy cookies. You must be a lot younger than I.
These cookies were awesome.
Definately thick and chewy👌🏻
They look so good, making them tomorrow
I prefer thick and chewy chocolate chip cookies, and now I have to make these cookies tonight. 😊
🙌🏼🙌🏼 enjoy!!
Hi.... thank you for sharing.
I looooooove crunchy cookies.
I would say I am team thin and crispy.
Me too
It's looks really delicious😋✨
I loved the previous recipe video you did a few years back, but I will definitely have to try both of these methods! 💞😋
thick and chewy is BETTER team thick and chewy forever!!!
I made the thick and chewy. They are good. I just made the thin and crispy. I am totally team thin and crispy. They are sooo good. I want to know if I can double the recipe? I like to put the extra ones in the freezer so when I get a craving I just pull a few out and bake them off. The batter was kind of loose so putting them in the freezer really helped. I have to say delish.
Your cookie recipes are the best!
Thick and Chewy please 😍 😍 😍
Is it possible to make Thin and Chewy too? Cuz that’s the best one imo 😁
for sure! bake for 12 mins same recipe
Those big and chewwyyy oness 😍😍👌🏼
I just made the thick & chewy version.. wow it’s amazing, I love the texture. Thanks for the recipe. But I found it’s too sweet for me. Can you share the tricks to overcome this? I guess reducing the sugar will make different texture or shape of this cookies
I made the thick & chewy w/ 3/4th cup of sugar - 1/2cup brown sugar & 1/4th white sugar & they came out great, not too sweet
Try using high quality real dark couverture chocolates 54% above so it will balance the sweetness
can i know what the specific measurements of ur cup , i mean what gram of flour or sugar that u used?
I like this one so much ❤ Do you have any advice to store the cookies within a week?
All my store had was Light Brown Sugar, was was not thrilled about it but I can work with it, totally agree with you on the taste, with the difference between light and dark brown sugar. :D And all my years of watching your content, I have not subbed, I finally did :) Happy Holidays to All!
Love this kind of content! Definitely in team thin and crispy :)))
Sooo good thanks for sharing !!!!

Hi, I wanted to make these again for the thick and chewy cookie. If I want to use AP flour but also Add Bread flour for an even more chewier cookie, what measurement would u recommend for both flours??♥️♥️♥️
I really loved your recipe but can you please tell me that what would be the vegan ingredients for thin and chrispy cookies?????
I'm Team ALL chocolate chip cookies 😋🍪
I just gave up on baking bc I would get every cookie wrong and it would always be cake-like. And I always use the same amount of baking soda that was needed
Thankyou for your Good product sister,
Peace!, Adios!! & i think they look good on Good Friday!
Thick and chewy 😍
I’ve always liked my cookies crispy on the outside & chewy in the center. Does that count as a chewy cookie lover? Because they don’t really sell that kind on the shelves. 😊
Team thick and chewy all the way !!
Btw, do you alter any ingredients to achieve these perfect cookies at high altitude ??
need the recipe in grams 😢
Me too
Thick and chewy
Lovely recipe! Like always :)
Thank you. God bless you in Jesus Name.
Loved ur recipes..
CRISPYYYY
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars on my page too and your dish looks amazing! Hope to stay connected! 😀
Ur hands have real magiccccc
thanks
Thick & chewy!! 😘
So I’m guessing if you want more than 6-8 cookies double the recipe? Which I don’t like to do because it changes it I may just do the recipe twice
Hi. I was wondering, would I be able to use coconut oil instead of butter? Would the end result be different texture?
Will the thin cookie sprrad the same way if I add a couple of teaspon of matcha powder? Thanks!
For 1/2 cup of butter....is it 1/2 cup of melted butter or 1/2 cup of solid butter before melting it??
I just made your thin and crispy version and they're quite good. They have a great crunch yet still have some chew to it. I'm going to make your thick and chewy next weekend and compare!
