I can see both Vader and Malgus being similar yet opposite of one another. One had his face covered, the other didn’t. Both needed cybernetics for survival yet one was disgusted by it. One lost everything and became imprisoned in the Dark, the other was raised in the Dark and flourished in it. Both didn’t tolerate weakness or failure yet one rewarded those loyal and useful. One ruled an empire, the other was a servant of another. One died in the Dark while the other was redeemed.
yeah star wars story telling is peak. Can't say that to most of the dialogues tho.

There was a time where Starkiller did see Vader as a Master, he taught him more than anyone in the Galaxy, and even by sparing his former master he was able to save both of them from the Dark Side.
Not gonna lie, starkillers robes when he fought vader and sideous are probably some of the best looking robes out of all star wars. Should be featured more.

This is extremely powerful. Very touching moment. Anakin's eyes were blue because he felt no anger,hatred,pain anymore. He was defeated. Dark side didn't control him. It took him time to re-coperate. Because he had nothing except Sidious and Empire. Luke was just appearirng,training. Redemption was near. And Anakin's meeting with Yoda and Obi-Wan again. Very powerful moments. I think he also felt genuine pride in his student for defeating him. Since Vader had essentially raised Galen, it's possible that he had developed a twisted sense of fatherly love for him and took genuine joy in seeing him succeed.

Because Galen realized the man he had feared and admired as his Master, who raised and tormented him, was nothing more than a pitiful, pathetic slave of the Sith, just like Starkiller himself had been.
His face made Kenobi change his mind about killing him too.
Who needs force powers when you got max charisma stat.
Same reason Palpatine got thrown down the reactor shaft. Anakin was never killed Vader just lied to himself about it
Anakin was always testing Jedi the ones he found worthy and that could possibly stop the Emperor he never killed almost as if searching for one that could do what he could not.. In essence Lord Vader was like a Trojan Jedi Virus a backdoor if you will for them to gain access to the Emperor
Vader should have told Starkiller then, in the snow planet, that the time had come and to pretend to fight in the Death Star and then team up on Sidious.
Galen would have gone with it and Sidious would, for once, actually be taken off guard.
Imagine if Vader in plot twist decided to transfer his conciousness into Starkiller. It makes sense since Vader who hates the condition he is in both physically and mentally, would have a new 20 something year old body with powerful force powers. Sidious would never see Vader coming with this new ambush.
essence transfer is a special skill, only few mastered it
I think the person he'd transfer to would have to be willing, or too young to say no.

Think in such defeat, Vader too BOTH pittied Galen for what he'd become, as he did, under Sideous as the next apprentice an sith BUT ALSO how he'd be released from all he'd suffered, lost an done if Galen finished him off.. another reason these games an EU story seriously needs to be Cannon AS IS. It seals so much plot holes an makes so much sense an adds ALOT to every setting an, story an character involved on doing so of they ever do or did it that way. Tho if Kyle's not there and Jerec gets his valley of the Jedi energy, then he's amped tremendously, and force destruction (which nullifies connection to the force) will be a stronger trump card.

Because then Starkiller would have just become the new Sith Lord and head of the Empire. He would have been giving in to the temptation and corruption of the Dark Side of the Force. The Force vision he had in the level at the Jedi Temple even warned him of this possible future, showed him what he would become if he gave in to his hatred.
This shows Luke was right about Vader still having good in him .
In his morbid, twisted mind, I think Vader sparing the life of young Marrick and raising him as his own was a way to atone for the younglings. Somewhere deep, deep down Anakin thought "I've taken enough childrens' lives, not this time."
Personally, if I had the oppotunity, and saw the pain, I would consider it a mercy to end Darth Vader right there, drawing on light side emotions while striking true, and fleeing from Sidious right afterwards (granted, while my character not knowing the consequences of said action)
Crazy thing about Vader is the Darkside didn't do anything that the light side wouldn't have done😂😂😂 everything he did was for nothing🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

When i played this back in the day i was like well this is a dumb false choice obviously vader lives and kind of killed all mometum for the second game cause where do you go from here you already finished the story. What they should have done for the second one was have you play as a clone assassin of palp while plaguies is still alive then at the end you can either kill palp and take his place or go off as lightside.
Nice video. What game were those clips from? And, I think the video would be better without the ten minutes of merch plugging at the end. Perhaps you could cut that down and just rotate shorter clips at the end of videos instead of giving us everything. Surely your video stats bear this out as being a dropping off point?

Starkiller was legends so old canon. He kinda broke it because not only was he probably the most powerful force user aside from super later on palpatine and maybe nihilus or valkorion his family crest also was explained as being the origin of the rebellion icon which was...screwy to say the least. Still i love force unleashed lol

The Force Unleashed novels are canon
As it currently stands some are, some aren't. The Knights of the Old Republic for example is canon to both the Disney Timeline and the Legends Timelines. Force Unleashed is only canon to the pre-disney timeline until or unless a new entry brings him back in. TKOR was retroactively made canon through supplementary material referencing revan in the new movies.

He should have killed Vader. Not out of hatred or anger but as an act of kindness and caring to release Anakin from the hell he was enduring and causing on the Galaxy. A true act of a Jedi which would have saved countless lives.
And this is why George disapproved of Starkiller.
Because he was able to overpower Vader.

George helped finalize the story of Force Unleashed he could've easily not have Starkiller overpower Vader. Also the novel which Stupendous is taking this from explains why Vader lost to Starkiller.
You might wanna your ears out because George has never said any such thing at least not on record anyway. The reason Star-Killer overpowered Vader is because that's exactly what Vader wanted him to do, embrace all of his rage so he could overpower him and "potentially" take-down the emperor. The reason he lost the second time is because is because Vader underestimated him which if you'll notice is something Anakin does a lot hence why he got his ass kicked twice by Kenobi though TBF he did fight SK during a storm which made his force lightning much more potent.

Starkville is a video game add-in. Pure legends beyond Lucas. Until he's in a movie I can't accept his Rey/Sue whatever power level as cannon. That being said great game except it takes multiple lightsaber cuts to get through naked flesh. Vr lightsaber games helped that go away.

His power really isn't as lore breaking as you think he just uses it in unorthadox ways that catch these guys off guard. It's kind of like Spider-Man in a way who's iconic not because he's powerful but because he's fast on his feet and fairly good on the spot. In a pitched battle I don't think anyone would think Starkiller could beat Vader or Sidious but in these fights those 2 idiots underestimated his resolve and his stamina because they saw him as nothing more than a puppet.
It's not the only time Vader has done this as he got owned by Kenobi twice because he utterly underestimated him and Palptatine of course only uses his powers when he gets something out of it and he still outclassed Galen by a wide margin.
Subscribing is totally worth it if you like knowing Star Wars

Well, Galen Marek was designed as a character for distraction, game that was not supposed to change anything in already established Lucas lore. Thus of course, he could not kill Vader in canonical ending (although there was such an option in playthrough). But it must be said that whole story of first Starkiller game (including start of the Rebellion), made much more sense that latter Disney crap 😁 (Rebels and Kenobi). After the success of first Starkiller game, greed followed, so there were additional episodes and official sequel (Starkiller 2) with much weaker story. What could we say, except that greed and art do not go hand in hand.
I identified as Galen growing up and appreciate the insight.
