Next one is a quadruple banger.
That's one rare collaboration between Dave and Martin
@@Andreonynone yes, i think that the only two good songs from a collaboration between them are Wagging Tongue, and Long Time Lie
Cover Me ls The next. Prepare yourself
"Cover Me" was ALWAYS my favourite song from "Spirit". Then, "Going Backwards" & finally "No More (This Is the Last Time)"
My favorite in Spirit!
Love this, they did not play it live on the tour.
The lightbulb moment is always fun to see happen.
This is one of those ones I actively like and on a few playlists. I love the bass line and the slink to the song. Danceable, vertical or otherwise.
This one was written by Martin as an instrumental, then Dave took it and wrote lyrics for it. It‘s a grower once you listen to it for several times. Always liked its strict electronic vibe.
Next song, Cover me, is a highlight though. One of DM‘s finest songs, and a great video, too
Are you sure? I thought it was „No More (This is the Last Time)“ which was planned as an instrumental until Dave put his lyrics on it
Next song!!! One of the best dm songs!
Although the song is electronic rigid in its sound, it has rhythm, so to speak - something that has been missing after Alan and especially on the last records, in my opinion. I also like the Kraftwerk-inspired loop after the choruses.
I’ll like the way You Move onto the next album cause this one blows.
Keep hanging on seph. Keep cranking these out. Next album is S tier.
Thank you Seph, 😊 well the song is okay (nothing too special)but it's good anyway, also it would of been Fletcher's birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉(2 days ago)BTW... also 🎵 if I think 1 of their songs (that talk about the subject)I think 🤔 of: Fly 🪰 on the Windscreen?...yes.
This song is about one person seeing another person and respecting and seeing the moves, but also knowing that: "You're not gonna get me like that. You're gonna have to do more than that. I'm tempted. I like the way you move." And it's a bit sarcastic, and it's also like at the end of a relationship that maybe has worked in a way for a long time in a certain way, but it needs to change.
I like You Move, has a nice catchy melody
My interpretation of the lyrics is it’s about a relationship that has failed, but the writer (Martin) still wants one last fling because the physical aspect was so good. Therefore, I agree with you that it’s naughty. Btw, at the end of the song you had some good moves…no naughtiness implied. 😉
Nopeee no Naughtiness at alllllllll xD
Dave wrote those lyrics. Martin did the instrumental part.
I think I feel the same Seph, its not a bad song but not something I'm putting on a playlist. it is better than some but i think for me it feels like it could have been more than what it was.
This song is just strange experiment made by Dave of Martin’s weird synth sound, which he sent with words: “Maybe you can make something?”
And then we have…just OK, this is not My Little Universe, but still weak. I can’t understand people who tells how AWFUL it is: I listened to bad rap without any rhythm, modern pop-music, people whose voice should be forbidden as a biological weapon (and I’m absolutely serious), and THIS is far from awful quality I think (sorry, I’m just not music-educated).
I’ve learnt that you had a birthday recently.
Happy Birthday! (I’m late, sorry)
I think you may like the next one)
I can‘t help finding this song very erotic
No, you move! (0:03) 😉
I think the key to understanding this uninspired heap-of-crap is that it was a Dave and Martin collaborative effort. I know this is a very unpopular thing to say, but I feel that they verge on soiling their legacy when they put out songs like this.
I have a very hard time believing that, after they completed this song, Dave and Martin said to each other, "Oh, that's great. It'll be perfect for the album." **sigh**
Or is it possible that they instead said, "It's not great, but there's a lot of other songs that are far worse that we've already decided to put on the album. So it only makes sense to include this one too."
What do I think about this song?
I think it could work as a soundtrack to an outer space/ extraterrestrial thriller type of movie.
When I heard the instrumentation I got extraterrestrial stalker vibes.
Okay so hear me out:
Humans sucked into a wormhole and crash land on a totally unknown to them planet in an unknown planters system.
So this planet on the surface looks like Earth except during the Ice Age. Beautiful but austere, cold and breathtaking.
The humans space ship is broken down obviously and they have no way of immediately repairing it or even if they can. They're stranded and they could be stranded there for as long as they can survive on that planet.
Anyway, at first they have no idea they are being watched but they are.
There is this one particular human that our would be extra terrestrial stalker character takes a liking to and decides that he or she or what have you wants this two legged alien creature for herself or himself.
So what ensues is this cat and mouse game.
Instead of a "cute" alien movie I'm thinking a creepy- thriller type of alien movie.
Anyhoodles, that's what went through my head when I heard this one.
And just as an aside: The way you say "dirty". To my American ears it sounds like "dur'ee". It sounds almost like the 't' is silent.
Makes me wonder what your reaction would be if you heard my accent and the way I say/ pronounce some stuff.
That's the way my mind works 😅
Quick Question Seph: Have you ever watched the movie "Fargo"?
Fabulous reaction as always Seph 🙌🎤🙌
GOLD STARS etc and so forth: 🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟🎤🌟
Peace ✌, light 🌞, love 💖, & blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
I would totally watch this sammy 😄 really got sucked into your world for a moment there 📽️
I've always wondered about your accent Sammy! 👀
Ohhh and Fargo? The 1996 film right? I don't think i havveee. I just watched the trailer for it And im shocked how many semi-famous actors/actresses are in it!
qualcosa di veramente O R R I B I L E
The 31/32 16th parts rhythm timecode is annoying af.
To be fair, 99% of this album is, too.
Excactly I hate it!
@@thirdlanternno it's not, just this song
@@damian2779 It's sll subjective in the end. I hear buzzy, distorted, sanctimonious invective largely devoid of anything memorable.
@@thirdlantern but here's not about distortion, it is the fact the song is most of the time off rhythm, I can't listen to it because of that. Only chorus is ok.
You're doing well Seph, cracking through this album which for many ( obviously it's down to opinion) is their weakest to date. Luckily, you have Cover Me coming up and soon, Memento Mori, which will restore your faith entirely.
Absolutely agree.. just OK. A throwaway track. Not terrible in the larger scheme of things, but really... what was the point?
Es bastante olvidable
Next one is better, believe me
So this is written by Dave, so right there's the problem. The music's meh, it's all right, but nothing to get excited about. I'm glad you're not waiting too long between songs, just get it over with. This has actually been rather painful, listening to these songs again and seeing your disappointment. We know how you feel.
Only one song from Depeche Mode sounds like something from Enrique Iglesias 😂 but still OK
Agree with you - low on the long long list. When you think of top tier Depeche - this is very mediocre. Another skip for me
Yeah it’s like a good song but just lacks something
One of the worst of this albun :/
U probably smoked something strange on this track !
For me, this song is a parody of either "World in My Eyes" or "Master and Servant". I don't like it
That's just my opinion
It's a B-side at best. Sounds almost like a demo. Spirit is the worst DM album IMO.
There is worst Martin Song on this album and it is called Eternal 😮
Totally disagreed!
@@Andreonynone ok I forgot about Breathe from Exciter, so second worse! :D
Boooring song
