200 series at 10:21 really shows how far the Land Cruiser has come. Almost zero drama going up the rock ledge even compared to the venerable 80 series.
Every single ute tackling that rock ledge from 6:40 had the video edited to hide them scraping their tow hitch/rear bars. Why? Anyone can see they have bad departure angles.
+Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Goodness. Even watching him at 10.15 it was one of those 'underpants moments' that we all dread. Hopefully all was okay. With the best line established, can I ask why he chose that line?
Ha ha. Yes and we felt so embarrassed about accidentally not calling it a Suzuki that we did a special video just for the Vitara!! I think we made a mention in the video description.
hello, I love your channel and is very interesting just wondering if a Subaru Forestor 2014 model can do these type of tracks? They have the X-mode capabilities but not sure if it will be useful in these situations
+DeepBlacklce That is a great question, and the answer is... very unlikely. However, the good thing with this area is that some of the tracks where there are really hard bits, sometimes have escape routes and alternative tracks. Although there are a few places on this particular track where there is only one option. The best thing to do is go try it out. Go with someone in another 4WD though, just in case you get stuck or need a tow. Thanks for watching and have fun getting the car dirty!!
i seen heaps of tritons and the traction control seems to work in line with reving the crap out of it and bouncing with damage to victory. maybe lsds take a bit to kit in.
Paul Davis you are correct! How did we make that mistake? Oh well, to all the Suzuki Vitara people out there, including the one in this clip especially, we apologise for our little mix-up!!
muddymotos To make it up to all the Vitara owners out there we have uploaded some more Suzuki footage from the trip to Baal Bone Gap. ruclips.net/video/8h88cuC22nY/видео.html
Jimmy Adhikary We would say "Maybe"... The rock ledge shown towards the end of the video is pretty steep, you'd get down it ok, not sure you'd get up without assistance. If you were going to the Baal Bone lookout only, then I think you would be ok. All depends really on your skill level and the ability of the 'proper' 4WD to pull you out if you got stuck somewhere. There are a few difficult bits on the first section of the track and this might prevent you going too far at all. The model of your Rav4 will also determine your success as some year models are far more capable than others.
Great to see, doesn't matter what make vehicle you have, just get out there and have fun.

Really? We edited it out to hide it? You're funny. But thanks for watching!
The guy @ 10:15 wanted to show how it's done but unfortunately it didn't work out for him. That's our style though LOL. Great video.

+Bill Blinky I can only guess that it was because it was an 80-series and best equipped vehicle, so he wanted to try the steep side.
Well fair enough then. But yikes it looked a close one. Terrific video by the way.
Great video guys and well done on the commentary. Appreciate the time it would have taken to put this together
Nice vid:) just brought a manual wildtrak and looking forward to taking it off-road looks like it did very well in this vid.
what a great trip, how do i get on the list for upcoming adventures?
Did this track yesterday. Awesome.
Where did they find a Daihatsu Vitara? They are quite rare!!!
Ha ha. Yes and we felt so embarrassed about accidentally not calling it a Suzuki that we did a special video just for the Vitara!! I think we made a mention in the video description.
The D max needed to be snatch strap. Was it because it did not have rear diff lock??
great trip report. Im interested to know why the D-Max at the end was pulled up the rock ledge. Did they attempt it or was there a mechanical....
nce vid. Are they all on manual trans?
Hey Alexandria Allani , the cars are a mixture. There are a few autos as well as manuals.
On The Dirt great! Nce video! nce trip with prof guidance. Glad to have people like you =)

Will a crossover like a rav 4 awd make it through this track with the help of another proper 4wd ???
