The super-rich boss lacking in social grace (or any human interaction skills) is a common rom com trope in K drama (but elsewhere as well). In fact, the Off Gun 2025 series offers a different variation on the same trope. In all such cases, the non-rich character functions to teach the richncharacter basic social skills or cover what other social weakness that character has. Romance flows from there. Comedic romance generally.
To keep things fresh, writers can vary which character falls first. Or vary whether they hate each other at first. Or add a love triangle. Or meddling parents. Etc.
When well done, this trope can be fun. Which is why it keeps coming back.

Mr Sataporn - who Thee calls at the end - is the actual owner and director of GMMTV. That was kinda funny 😁
Other than that, I am not super excited about this, the K-drama comedy gag doesn't really speak to my sense of humor. But who am I kidding, it's PondPhuwin and PerthSanta - obviously I'm gonna watch it 😍
