Also, for those who enjoy the BL lore... MAME has since the very beginning stayed in the same cinematic universe in all her BLs.
And The Boy Next World is no different.
It all started with *Love By Chance* which focus on the story of Ae&Pete (omg how I still miss them!), but where we also meet the side character Type, who is Ae and Pete's senior in college. His story is obviously explored in *TharnType* where we in season2 *7 Years Of Love* meet both: 1) Leo&Fiat, who's story is explored in *Don't Say No* where we're also introduced to Leo's brother Leon, who is Prapai's friend at the pool party in *Love In The Air* and Prapai introduces Namnuea to Sailom in *Wedding Plan* ; and also 2) Cir and Phupa, who lives next door to Tharn&Type in season2, and Phupa is also Tharns cousin btw - and it is their story we're now exploring in *The Boy Next World* .
So that only leaves out one show... Well not really, because even though the show didn't actually focus on it, *Love Sea* is also connected to the rest of them, because Tongrak's friend Connor, who sends him to the island where he meets Mahasamut, is actually dating Type's childhood friend Kom, who we briefly met in *The TT Special Episode* where Type brings Tharn home to meet his parents, and they have a heart to heart about Type treating Kom bad in the past due to his homophobic trauma. And so the island where Mahasamut grew up is also the island where Type grew up, however the show doesn't mention this.
So there it is. All her shows are connected. 🤓😅

I think this first episode was a very strong start! It did a great job outlining the premis of the story, setting up the characters and their dynamic - in both worlds. And I am excited to see how deep they dive into those potential dilemmas and questions you pose. I've watched a couple of parallel universe BL's, but non of them has been very good, because it's hard to conceptualize and make it work, without the audience having to jump through some major hoops or accepting major plot holes. And so I did for a second think to myself: Oh I really I hope they don't do a 4Minutes endning, and have it all happen in Cir's comatozed brain! 🙏
What's interesting is how different our perception of Phu was, because I was thinking how different he is from Rain. Sure he share's the somewhat dim-witted charactheristics - but other than that, he is soft and sweet, unlike Rain who was a total brat, the brat-tamer "kink" was part of the PhayuRain dynamic, and I don't see that here at all. I fact for a Mame show this episodes had zero controversy. 🤩
I am very interested in Phu's friend Jin. I think he seems very sus. Like he knows something, the way he's sure that something good is about to happen for Phu. And remember the name Jin originates from Genie - so I wonder if he's the guardian angel or something like that? 🤔
Other than that, I can not believe that you call Boss "cute" at 1:06 - meanwhile I am over here zooming in on his titties in that wet white shirt in that moment 👀LOL 😁

I think this series will definitely be a slow burn. Well as slow as they can burn within 10 episodes 😂. I like that the ground work has been laid, we know that between the two worlds so far there are similarities but different lived experiences. So maybe Cir’s choice to have Phu in his life is the reason his world is brighter/happier. And clearly this world’s Cir is…struggling. And chile, if Boss showed up at my it would be an immediate yes! Also, for me Phu and Rain feel very different. Rain was an absolute brat lol. He would have never let Cir in his house, he would cursed him out or called the cops 😂
