    Good on you guys for letting us all see the bones of your amazing trip & letting Fin grab the camera for the Hanoi section. Trips like this are always the ones you end up loving the most once you're out of the pressure cooker environment of constantly moving around & far from you sounding negative, that hotel bit at the end is a conversation many of us have after a hard earned but truly memorable trip. Loved it 🤙🤙

    "Fin Cam" that was epic and you did great as a non motorcyclist commentator. I would love to get my partner out to Vietnam and do a bike trip but she also does not ride motorbikes. It is good to show her that it can be done and there are options as you guys have suggested where you can avoid riding in big City's. I Loved riding over in Vietnam though I was based more in the central part from Dong Hoi down to Quang Ngai riding around the borders. We always got a lot af attention as it was well off the tourist routes.

      @@timandfin Still plenty of garbage lying around. South is terrible along the road sides. North seems better but has way less development going on. It's a national park but looks like only a matter of time until it goes too. Btw, you were right about the jellyfish. They are still here. They are tiny. I thought it was sand hoppers biting me. Jellys are much larger in Ireland.

  • @Broadus45
    @Broadus45 5 лет назад

    Wonderful video, but were Tim and Finn talk about pace it is important to have riders of similar skill and pace for sanity. I ride here in Vietnam and I will get frustrated with slower riders, but also folks should rent a phone mount too to keep a heads up display for maps and alerts plus less chance of dropping your phone too. But Finn, keep your head up and keep riding! That's the only way to improve on 2 wheels and then you can feel more confident and have better stamina. I am planning on an 8-9 day drive around the south of Vietnam for Tet (Lunar New Year) 2020

I do understand you need to ride with the flow of traffic, I have ridden in Thailand for 7 years and understand the way to approach the traffic, but shit give the girl a break. P. S. I woukd love to do the ride from south to north at some tine, do you think I could do it on my Harley? Cheers again and safe travells.

      @@timandfin when I was wandering the streets of Saigon I was also very surprised to see it. Another thing are the fruits and candy bars and shit put out in front of Budha in all temples. They sacrifice the food to them, gods will feast on a non material form of food- the good will of people who put the food there. After like 4 days the gods are fed and people can drink the coca cola or eat mars bars eheheh

      @@iweirjkdkfmk It's an offering for those in the afterlife. They will burn paper money and other things for the dead ancestors to use. It's a way of giving thanks to them for going before and also to make their lives in the thereafter more comfortable.
