Yeah that's a show condition bike. Motorcycles generally aren't measured to the same finite standards as cars, because there are a lot less of these show condition motorcycles around and this is a show condition bike (in my opinion).

Lovely looking bike, it pretty much looks new! When I was 16 I had an RM125 to race and a Suzuki TS50X for the road (in the UK you're only allowed a 50cc road bike at 16, they do about 37mph flat out lol). One day I was riding the TS50X at a local waste ground hangout with some friends when a bunch of guys on dirt bikes turned up, one of them had an '83 KX500 exactly like this. In jest I remarked "I bet you wouldn't let me ride that" and he responded, "take it out". So I stepped off a 50cc bike straight onto a 500cc 2-stroke. Probably the scariest motorcycle I've ever ridden including big street bikes etc., will never forget it, even on asphalt in 3rd/4th gear it spun the rear wheel and lifted the front at the same time
80's KX500 in great condition, awesome! For the newbies: He wears a boot, because in case of setback, the kick start lever will break his foot or shin. Regards from Germany!
