  • With stunning classic, baroque, rococo, and gothic architecture, Prague is as beautiful as it is historic, and it’s also one of the best cities in Europe for photography. Since it’s such an amazing place to visit, Prague also attracts an incredible amount of tourists that can make getting certain shots very difficult. In this episode, we navigate the old streets and buildings looking for the best light, while learning how to best avoid the crowds.
I meet up with my friend and talented conceptual photographer and artist, Erik Johansson, as he takes us on a tour of his studio and walks us through his incredible creative process from the conceptual side all the way through production and final digital editing. His work is truly surreal and it’s an amazing experience to get a full demonstration of his workflow.
During this episode, we pay a visit to Centrum PhotoSkoda, one of the largest and most impressive camera stores in Europe. The owners Milan and Martin Skoda, take us on a tour of both the modern and the historic as we visit the museum and learn about Prague’s rich history and photographic legacy.
In this Moments in Time series, we take a journey around the world together, and share about photography, travel, people, food, experiences, and everything that happens between the frames I capture. Join our Moments in Time Flickr community for access to two exclusive mini episodes, and new episodes will be published here on RUclips every Tuesday morning.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I've shot the sunset from that same tower over the Charles bridge (maybe even the same exact spot) 2 years ago, using the techniques from Photographing the world 2 and it's one of my favourite photos. I just wanted to stop by and express my gratitude for the awesome content and inspiration you bring to the community, Elia. Keep it up!!!

I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t struck by the first few episodes of this Moments in Time Series. But I have gotten a lot of inspiration from Elia’s work including his Fstopers PTW series so I persevered.
But this Moments series has gotten better and better. This Prague episode and the Dutch episodes were excellent. Well done.

Although there are elements of the wide shot that are nice, like being able to see some action on the street, I’m voting for the zoomed (tighter) shot simply because I feel the near rooftops are somewhat distracting, pulling my attention away from the more interesting towers in the distance. BTW, super interesting episode. That camera store is unbelievable and your photo/artist friend is simply a genius with such an imagination - BRAVO !

I always travel with a table /mini tripod.
It can sit on uneven and small spaces such as a rock, fallen trees or simply on the ground etc.
It is also great for B footage with a second camera, osmo, phone or whatever other system you choose plus I also sometimes have a H5 on it for audio recording etc.
The metal type table tripods can actually hold large zooms......always with one of the legs under the lens ;)
