- In March 2023 I travelled to Pokhara and solo hiked a 5-day Mardi Himal trek in Himalayas. This was my first trekking experience in Nepal.
This is an ambient hiking tour video with minimum dialog.
I did it alone and it was freezing!

OMG, just thinking about how much work you put into this production Mickey! You ended up climbing that mountain almost twice. Climb to spot, set up camera, go back down, start the walk through the shot, go back to get camera, rinse and repeat!!! So much work for this masterpiece! Congratulations!

I stayed at the same place in High camp. The people maintaining that place were nice. Met similar dog during the route maybe he is the same. He loves hanging out with the trekkers

Awesome content and appreciate the hard work involved in the filming and editing. I think for many shots, you have to do a couple more tries back and forth to get the best angle and to do this in the snow, high altitude, is very challenging. I like nature treks such as this where there are not much talk/narration. All in, this is a superb piece of production!

I also have done the trek last year in oct. Being native to this country I myself was struggling to do the trek but kudos to you man. I must say you have done this expedition twice given that capturing footages, placing cameras going back and forth for the sake of the video, flying drones at the same time being extremely cautious of the dangerous path while walking…siuuuuu put hell lot of effort sir. Salute. 🫡
While returning back, I was thinking I will never come back to Himalayas due to those whole aches but As soon as I have arrived home, I had already thinking to go back. I think that is the magic of the Himalayas.
You forget the hardships you only remember the serene memories.
While coming down people look your eyes asking how was it and broadening our shoulders we reply “worth all this” with our eyes without speaking a word.🙂
Pushing your body to its limit..even our body gives up and say I can’t..from now on your courage and determination will drag me. And we can’t give up amidst so somehow we conquer.
That’s how memorable memories build I guess.

That was an incredible accomplishment filming all that yourself. Every time you set the camera down on the path to capture your hike I imagined the added effort to set up, video and then take down the camera. Essentially you did some parts of the trail 3 times to capture one shot in frigid weather. And then editing it all. Amazing!
