Hey Kraig, I just came back from the Mardi Himal trek too, saw "ghost" too at high camp! He actually followed us to the viewpoint before staying there when we descended.
About the dogs: I heard this story that those are monks, who did not live their life properly and therefore have been send back to earth to guide other people!!! I almost always have a dog with me while trekking in Nepal 😊
We had ghost following us all the way, we had 3 children we us they love her and named her Tofu, my son got very attached to the dog and cried when we had to leave.
Nepal is amazing and my favorite country I have ever been to and I consider the annapurna ciruit trek one of the highlights of my life...your video brings back alot of memories from what feels like eons(13 years) ago!
You're such a masterful creator Thanks for the video! I truly hope you'll continue with this format - silent hike vid and dedicated 'behind the scenes' vid! Ghost is adorable, his story finally told!
@@BGaud but he had a good home and was in the most beautiful place already? Meeting and leading new people almost every day, being free!. Now he has to live on a leash and do whatever that lady tells him. How is that a better life? Sorry but that's just selfish.
I am a hiker and you inspire me to take more chances and add more variety to my hikes! I Love dogs and was so touched by your travel companion for this hike ! Thanks for sharing your wonderful expertise! I'll keep watching them all! 🙏💖✨
As a nepali who has already done Mardi Himal Trek, it could not have been presented any better than how you did in these 2 videos. Loved your work and wish i could go back again.
watching your videos is like therapy to me. idk how to explain it?? but your silent hikes and videos like these explaining things calms me down and clears my mind. what i’m trying to say is i love you and appreciate all the content you put out.
Thank you very much Kraig.. that you let us participate in your wonderful tours. They have a meditative effect on me. These beauties, the creative work of our Creator, touch me very much.❤🩹
Really enjoying this guide! Glad you liked this trek, it's really fun. Hoping you'll come back to Nepal to take on many new adventures. I subbed to your channel after watching your Hornstrandir video but only after watching your Mardi silent movie, I realised you're from WFS!! I used to watch WFS all the time and your videos have really helped me a lot. Looking forward to watch more amazing content like this from you! 🙏🏼
You are such a good soul. I really like how respectful you are to all the people, cultures, and lands that you visit. I thoroughly love watching your videos too, but just want you to know that you make the world a better place. Thank You!
I did the everest circuit trek to the Base camp over 19 days a few years ago. Hopefully this pandemic will ease soon as I cannot wait to head back to Nepal. The best thing about being in Nepal is it really make you appreciate the simple things in life. A cup of hot bevrage and a hot meal that you take for granted back home after arriving to the teahouse, and it feels like the most amazing reward in the world. Not to mention the shower at the end after being in the wild for a couple of weeks is the most amazing feeling; something that's hard to experience in normal life. Thank you for your awesome contents Kraig! Hopefully this COVID thing is not affecting you and your channel too much .
Loved the video Kraig, We stayed at Mountain View hotel as well and literally last month, Dhiraj messaged me that you were there. We will do Himal Trek sometime on our next trip to Nepal. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Loved it! Thanks. I spend a lot of time in India and I love the street dogs. So amazing that little guy lives the way he does. Thanks for bringing the panoramas, the story, and the little companion.
Loved your silent travel video. Ghost’s appearance kept me glued to your video. As a dog lover, it just made me cry. Glad to hear more on the hike on this video and hear more about Ghost. I read comments that stated she was taken to US. Some people were not very happy. I’m personally glad the Ghost is in better hand. I’m sure it will be taken better care of and fed we’ll better than the wilderness.
Good on you for paying for food at the tea houses. When I was there 1 year earlier, saw young people bringing their own instant noodles and attmepting to order "hot water". The high-altitude tea houses count on the food sales as part of their revenue.
Hey Kraig, I loved your hiking film in Nepal. I shared it with a few friends and family - they were super excited about Ghost too! They would scan each scene to see if Ghost was still with you. Looking forward to your next film and life updates. Cheers!
this was the most beautiful hiking video i've watched. I love how you didn't narrate during, made you experience the place more through the video. Loved the after thoughts video, great idea.
Thank you Kraig, we enjoy your films, and love the way you talk through all of the information about the trek afterwards, very helpful and informative. Keep making films please.
Honestly, I really enjoy your work and effort that you put into your videos. And I am glad that you are here to share the wonderful places around the world in in these corona-times
Hey Kraig, just wanted to say I really appreciate these breakdown videos. It's wonderful to see how you approach the planning of your hikes and are making them really accessible for so many others. Love the little insights to your film making process too
Man, I see your videos here and then and I really enjoy every single one of them. But Mardi Himal is the best I've ever seen... ever! I enjoy hiking a lot thus your videos too. But the bond you made with Ghotst is amazing, although probably because of the simple reason is never the less incredible. Thank you for this, keep it up and cheers from Costa Rica.
Excellent video Kraig. Those kinds of tutorials are really great for us to know more about what you do to make this channel happen. Your minimalist style is really inspiring and I like to see that is not much gear needed to create such good content.
Thank you so much! You have really de-mystified and reduced the intimidation factor of these international hikes for me. It all feels very doable and of course your films are beautiful. I know you are a filmmaker but you have a real knack for explaining things and this guide-type content so keep it going!

I absolutely love your hiking videos! They are so well made. You're one of my favorite RUclips dudes!!! By the way.. GHOST was such a nice surprise and definitely made this story even better. ❤️
I love your videos. And thank you for not taking Ghost home. He's living his life and is perfectly happy. I love that you do a comment free trek and then follow up with a separate video detailing the trip.. Thank you for sharing this amazing and beautiful world.
Your videos are fantastic mate. So inspiring and helpful as well. I used to be outdoors a lot but have let that side go as I'd not been doing well mentally. It's definitely inspiring to start getting back out there and get back into hiking and photography!
I think it helps that you’re so relatable and genuinely a nice guy! I love the silent hikes and anything with dogs people are gonna LOVE! Loving your videos…just found you! Please keep making your videos!
I loved the original and this descriptive of the original. I really like your film style as well especially that you filmed the tea house and food experience. And lastly... the actual quality of the 4K is terrific. There are many "4K" uploads out there that are really not true 4K but yours was great.
Hey Kraig, Now that i have seen this, watching the Mardi trek vid again, gave me more perspective and the effort you have put to it. Not to mention a huge boost to the local tourism and Nepal tourism as a whole. Really liked the dron footages, i think that's what brought the wider perspective and the Hidden beauty of what is Mardi trek and the treasure of my nation. Keep up the solid work.. thank you and bless you.
Kraig, you have no idea what you're doing for the local economy there. Your productions are absolutely stunning (one that's slowly inspiring me to maybe do a similar style) and will only bring more travelers to the region. Kudos to you :)
Hi Kraig, just discovered your channel. Watched the Mardi Himal video first and I love the silent hiking style. It has a great quality to it and being someone that looks for remote hiking options, it is a great resource. And this video was SUPER helpful as well. Keep it up!
this looks absolutely stunning, glad youtube recommended your channel. so many more hiking ideas. This and the MacLehose Trail added to the list. Like these shorter trials where you can spend time doing other holiday stuff.

Sad that Ghost is not a guide in Nepal any more.
Lars as long as he has a good home and can be outdoors, I’m ok with that.

No! Ghost was obviously a mountain dog...spiritual in a sense. A famaliar that belonged to no one. How dare someone disrepect him!
