Pro tip, mount the faucet and drain before dropping sink in makes it a lot easier

That sink looks really nice, however, if I were to see the plumbing job you did in a home or RV, I would walk away. You can do better. Cut the ABS back to where it enters the cabinet and build it all new. It's not rocket science. And don't use the flex pipe. That just screams, "I don't know what I'm doing".

FYI-With the fire extinguisher it should lay flat, so the 'mix' inside does not seperate- a tip we where told about😊

If you eliminated the horizontal black pipe attached to the sink and the second peatrap you could set it up properly

You two are awesome. Even though it didn’t go as easy as hoped, you had the courage to do it yourselves, the patience needed and in the end, even if it’s a temp fix, you got it working with no leaks!! Good on ya!

Y’all need a dish pan now for two reasons. That sink is huge and holds too much water especially in a boondocks situation. Also I store stuff in my sink during travel mode and don’t want to scratch it. We did that same mod and love that sink!

Nice job. You could leave out the plate at the base of the faucet. That is only used when you need to cover a 3-hole installation, and your sink has one hole for the faucet.

first off love your videos. they have been very helpful for a newbie . but please get rid of the flexible p-trap and angle to the black pipe. look online homedepot p trap adapter to make up for different size pipe. also recommend shorter saw blades

Those accordion pipes are a bad solution and using a p trap sideways is worse and uses up space Cut the black piping back a bit and glue in new PVC so the trap is repositioned directly below the sink drain tail piece. You could probably do it with one 45° elbow. Then everything will fit behind the sink drain.

I’d like to replace our rv’s double sink but I really like the sink covers. They cover the sinks completely and the faucet is the only thing visible. I pop one in & I have more counter top space.
When our sticks ‘n bricks kitchen was renovated the plumber was able to move the under sink plumbing back towards the wall so that the under sink space was usable.

Oh my gosh... That flexible p-trap whatchamacallit is so genius! Thank you for including that!!! My RV bathroom sink is slightly off (doesn't look terrible but a bit "off" due to replacing the sink with a slightly different sized sink but not altering the plumbing. I feel like this would fix that! Also, you could soak/wash laundry in that kitchen sink in a pinch!!!

I have a small sink in my homebuilt cargo trailer to RV conversion. I actually prefer to fill a Tupperware tub with hot soapy water and do the dishes on the tailgate of my truck. I have a drying rack as well and I can be sloppy with water and not worry about it. I have a water tank in the bed of the truck as well with a short gravity feed hose for rinsing them. Doing dishes in the great outdoors when the weather is nice beats doing them in a small sink indoors.

Charity, Ben, I really enjoy your channel and following you. I have been for quite a while. I also know how frustrating DIY projects can get and all you want to do is finish it! But, after you have time to recharge, you really need to go back and fix that plumbing under the sink. It's not good for the long term and although I'm not a plumber, it probably violates various code stipulations for industry standards. Just that one piece being cantilevered out is going to eventually vibrate and shake loose. All the best to you. If I was closer, I'd come over and give Ben a hand with it. 😁Don in Florida

We’re going through a similar situation in our kitchen right now though we live in a sticks&brick. Husband ordered a new dish washer and they delivered it today only to find it won’t work. Our old one was a portable that hubby worked on and installed as a built in so the new one had no cabinet to use. We had to reorder a portable washer to be delivered on Saturday. Mean while the whole kitchen is upstairs down.

Water mess everywhere. Now I have smooth pipes connected properly. $$$ The idea of flexible pipes is nice but it doesn't last.

Guys, when you install 2 traps in a plumbing drain it causes an air bubble to be between the two traps resulting in air lock causing your drain to drain very slowly. you need to get the second trap out of the line. and for God's sake don't let Been near the sawzall again, stick with the multi tool it's much safer. on a second subject since you actually cut out the cut-out templet, I just wanted to let you know, when you go to the store checkout and pull out your credit card and the cashier "says strip facing me" she is referring to the orientation of your credit card, do not take your clothes off.
