PS3 is a great console. I never imagined my collection would be so huge, but even to this day I enjoy playing games on it. 7th Generation of gaming was still about gameplay, rather then graphics, while yes a lot of PS3 games look incredible even for today's standarts, the main focus was still about bringing out good gameplay experiences, rather then turning every game into a interactive movie. 7th generation was the last good time of gaming, after that it hasn't been the same. I'm also thinking to get an XBOX 360 someday, but we shall see how that will work out.
7th gen was the start to all the graphics it was funny hearing PC terms with PS3/360. So many games for the time did look so good so it’s understandable. Question for you and anyone who reads this. Do you find with newer games regardless PC or on console to be overwhelming or boring at the start? I find with a lot of newer titles to bore me from the start vs a game from PS3 era. Especially when it’s highly detailed I can’t concentrate. Thanks for watching it means a lot!
@@JoeyAnswer Yeah, I do find a lot of newer games to be boring. A lot of them just feel like they are becoming walking simulators, then actual games. While yes, they have gameplay, but that gameplay just doesn't feel satisfying. Also, too many games just look & play the same. I'm probably would be attacked by this opinion, but I personally prefer the old God of War games over the recent ones, because the gameplay for the older titles is more satisfying. I remember one time I pulled like 80 hit combo in one area in God of War 2 and it made me feel like a total badass. Plus, the problem with newer games is that they hold up way too much space.
@@Asaylum117 You shouldn’t be attacked by that. I only played a little of the first title. The older titles look way more satisfying and from what I remember it was huge at the time and I heard they changed the gameplay on the newer ones compared to the older games.
@@JoeyAnswer The new God of War games, like many Sony exclusives during the PS4/PS5 era just tried too hard to be the next The Last of Us. Although I do have a soft spot for the first The Last of Us game, I do hate how much the game influenced developers into making the same thing as that game. The new God of War titles has the annoying third person camera angle type of gameplay, while it works for a third person shooter, it doesn't work well for melee combat, especially when the camera is too close to the characters back, which can make the combat more frustrating, then enjoyable. While the old God of War games are just simple hack & slash titles, which were heavily influenced by games like Devil May Cry & Bayonetta for example. Just with blood & guts everywhere. Imagine playing as Wolverine, except you fight & brutally kill greek mythological creatures like Minatours, Medusa's, Sirens, etc. I just think the brutality in the newer games just feel like they lost their edge and focuses more on Kratos being a dad, then as a badass killing machine. Games are supposed to be fun, not always being about a characters emotional feelings. It's why I enjoy the old GTA titles as well, I just want to blow shit up and drive like a maniac. While yes, those games also have a story, but if the gameplay is boring & if the story is bad or mediocre, then what's the point playing the game then?
