NOW brand sells a rosewater concentrate that can be mixed with water. That's how I make my rose water spray!
Arianne Riley yes i use it too and I love that stuff . I’ve had the same bottle for like a year and used it to make rose water spray for my makeup before I started my locs last month .
There are videos on how to make rose water. It is not like making tea. You like steam the leaves to catch the oil. In my opinion it is more work than it is worth, since rose water isn’t all that expensive to me.
I buy my rosewater from the Indian grocery store. It is cheaper and in a bigger bottle

Take an empty bottle, pour half rose water and half vitamin e oil. Shake and spray.THE BEST TO ME!!!!
Thank you for this info! I'm a newbie mircrolocer (5 months). I just started using a teeny amount of almond oil on my scalp only. I'm scared to use anything except a little water on the length because my locs are new. Is the rose water okay for new locs? Or must I stick it out until they're mature?
I get rose water from the Indian grocery store. They are $2.50 a bottle. It cost less to purchase than to make.

That's where I get mine too. There is no alcohol in the ingredients. The brand I get is actually edible....found in the food section. It's about $2.50 also. The exact same product can be found on Amazon for about $10.

I have had my SLs for one year now. My question is when did you start moisturize your SLs? Was it within the first year and you just continued or?
I recently received my install (Jan 31,2018) so I won’t be able to moisturize for a while. 😊When did you start introducing oils and moisturizer to your hair?
I appreciate this video. I had my SL for 18 months and its almost locked. I have noticed locks snapping off and im concerned im not moisturizing them as much (i currently use rosewater with some peppermint oil). Would you recommend Carol's daughter BV on the ends of my locs (where they are popping off)?

Hello Brittania I been using Mango& Lime no itch and so for I like it and smell great.this coming October will be 3years loc. I’m still looking trying to find something that works good I work in a stamping plant and gets really hot in the summer time and have fans blowing air directly on my head most of the time ugh.and really scared to try a lot of products

Question for u do u think everything a consultant tells u what to use on your hair do I think it’s always to talk their advice, reason why is that even though consultants tells you what u should or should not use even though them things work fine fir your own hair . I don't have locks but my hair has been nappy natural since I've been 23 im 40 years old just trying to get it to grow right not be so dry im from chicago any sessions?

Hey girl hey! I just got my SLs so they’re freshly installed. Is it ok to use the rose water during the itch phase, or would it hinder the locking process?🤔
simply1mya my loctician instructed me not to use anything on my hair while locking
tameeka chang thanks for the advice. My loctitian said the same. I hear other consultants and trainees advise little things like aloe and water to deal with the itch phase. They say this because the starter shampoo has aloe as the main ingredient.
The smell of rose water nauseates me!!
