Xenosaga needs a full Mass Effect Legendary treatment. Put all the games in one trilogy and rework some gameplay to be more consistent between entries.
i have to agree with you there. i still have my copies of the xenosaga trilogy, i just need to get a ps2 again. i got xenosaga 1 at a bj's wholesale club early in it's lifespan, and when said store sold video games, i got xenosaga 2 and 3 on their release dates. i would love to see the trilogy and xenogears on ps4 and ps5 with trophy support. 😭😭😭

That DS game is only the first 2 entries HEAVILY compressed and edited together, kinda like a Cliff's Notes version of both, so it's not really a new entry per se Also, like it was reported so many times over the 2 decades since it debuted, the Xenosaga series was doomed to even accomplish its main goal of being a 6-part narrative Plus, while Bandai-Namco own the series, MonolithSoft belongs to Nintendo, so the only way for the series to return would be to not only work with the studio, but also to lock it as Nintendo exclusive; given how MonolithSoft got treated by Namco back then, it's highly doubtful a port/remaster will ever happen
I mean...the ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed heavily implies the next Xeno game will tie into the end of Xenosaga 3....Hell, they even name dropped Dmitri Yuriev
I'm playing Extermination at the moment. I actually enjoy it more now than I did back in 2001 because of its mechanics. Wipeout Fusion doesn't get enough love either. It really evolved the franchise in a lot of good ways.
Most of them have already made it out, Xbox offers them to buy digitally or to convert your discs into digital, emulated copies. Then there are also remasters like Ninja Gaiden, Pantom Dust, Voodoo Vince, and Metal Wolf Chaos... The only ones worth noting that are still stuck are Jet Set Radio Future, Blinx 2, Brute Force, Mechassault 1 & 2 and maybe Whacked. The rest are pretty obscure so I doubt they would ever return such as Toe Jam & Earl 3, Razer's Hell, Amped, Metal Dungeon, PGR, Mad Dash Racing, etc.
I never played Downhill Domination, but as a huge fan of the PS2's SSX games, I wish i had. Also, PS2 horror games Haunting Ground and Rule of Rose could use re-released.
the best option would be making the PS4/5 fully backward compatible for gamers like me that owns the games on disks to enjoy them with some possible HW/SW tweaks

The Champions games are awesome and need to be on modern consoles. Same thing can be said for the original Time Splitters which is also a PS2 exclusive (unlike its sequels).
I love to revisit Xenosaga Trilogy. I'm still hopeing that Monolith Soft will have a HD release (but I doubt this will be happening anytime soon). Goodthing I still have a physical copy of all 3 games in my collection.

Radiata stories is one of the greatest jrpg's ever made incredible story that allows for branching paths so you can play the game multiple times recruit loads of characters multiple bonus dungeons it's my all time favorite jrpg and it has never been ported off the PS2 massive bummer I would encourage any RPG fan to find a ROM and play it the combat system alone is really fun it starts one way and takes a quick turn it really stood out on a console that was loaded with amazing RPGs final fantasy 10 and 12 Star Ocean till the end of time Kingdom hearts 1 and 2 tales of Symphonia all awesome games have been ported loads of times but no love for radiata stories so sad

Enough time has passed since Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that the time could be near for the reveal of Monolithsoft's next game, with the only other rumor being a port of Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Oh Champions of Norrath, I've tried several times to buy it over the last decade, and every time I get a copy it's unplayable. One got all the way to the menu.
The worst thing about xenosaga is, even though all have a German name, only Episode 2 got a pal release. which means that, cause the Ps2 is region locked it was the only part we could actually play.
Luckily, the PS2 has incredibly inexpensive accessories, such that a decent Component to HDMI converter, a 5 millisecond Bluetooth controller adapter, and a third-party PS4 controller replica for it, for $30. So, I have two of mine on living room and bedroom TVs. So, I wouldn’t call it “stuck,” unless I were doing a speed run, which are always done with a wired controller, anyway...
Nah. I love having them just on PS2. Have since they were released, except it’s better, now, with wireless controller receivers (@ $20 ea., for a RetroBlue), a pair of good DualShock 4 knockoff controllers (made in the same mold, minus the shape of the light on the back; blue or red with lightning print; $17 ea.), and a $30-$40 upscaler/HDMI adapter _unlike_ the worst piece of garbage they could find, to make this installment of WAAAAAH! I actually have three $10 “LiNKFOR” PS2/HDMI adapters from Amazon that produces output that makes Mojo’s capture look like 480i @ 24fps next to its relative 4K @ 60fps , and there’s something about the original games, by the original artists, not getting forgotten, to time. If you own the discs and they got scratched, or something, you can always use Free MCBoot, if refinishing the DVD doesn’t work (Crest is best, if you go the toothpaste method of restoring your discs, despite the smell... ). Converting my entire collection to backups, so I can put them in a binder and put the OGs on the shelves. So many gamers _love_ to say, “Video games _are ‘Art,’_ with a capital ‘A,’” but they would never imagine remaking _Guernica_ with the newest tech paint and fiber “canvas.” That may be because they don’t know who Picasso is, what a low bar the definition of “art” is, or that capitalization does nothing to the status of “art”- so much as it belies a lack of understanding about what a proper noun is-but they’ve still got the right mindset, at that point, until they’re inconvenienced. Can’t have it both ways... not that I’m accusing you of doing that. Still, something to think about... especially considering _Norrath_ goes for $10-$15 on eBay... not to mention that the _Actraiser_ remaster and _Star Wars: Classic Battlefront Collection_ exist as giant “CAUTION: Be Careful What You Wish For” signs.
I love Xenosaga. ^^ Sadly I was never able to beat it. I got stuck on the enemy where that guy transforms into that monster. If Xenosaga is ever released then I'll be abit sad cause it'll go to the PS5 and not the PS4. Meaning that I wouldn't be able buy it. The only silver lining would be that I'd get to watch others play it and see how it ends.
“No real way to experience?” Right, except there are more PS2s than any other console on the planet, and FreeMcBoot makes playing any burned DVDs cost about a quarter - less than the average arcade game credit...
-Blood Will Tell is also exclusive. I doubt it will be rereleased since the IP is not owned by Sega. The ratings were mediocre too. I had to get a repro of that game because I am not spending $100+ dollars for a genuine copy. You will need a modded PS2 to play it. Fortunately the PS2 has an easy soft mod method. Berserk Millennium Empire Arc: Chapter of the Holy Demon War is also an exclusive title. For a PS2 game it looks very well made and is animated better than the rebooted anime series is. I think there is an English patch for the game if you don't understand Japanese. -1:28 Didn't Castlevania 64 also have you turn into a vampire if you get infected? It's apparently Game Over if you turn completely. I guess you lose your humanity if that happens. -4:47 Are there no fan servers of the game? I heard that GameCube still has a functional online game (fan supported obviously). -9:26 So another normal day in Japan. Maybe I should emulate these or make some repros.

The comment section seems to disagree with you on that. It's not because they were bad. They might just have been overshadowed or has Rights issues. Sometimes bad games/series get sequels while great games/series get missed.

I think a proper remake for xenosaga needs it more. Of course, the controversies from such remakes does hit the fans.
Shadow Hearts needs to be brought back. I loved all three of those games.
