It's 2023, and I'm being tempted to go to the Z mount. My D500 and D7200 will never be sold. I have started with the Z50 since it came out in 2019, and now will get a Z5 as I move to the FF Z bodies; aiming to get either the Z9 or Z8 or whatever new body Nikon comes up with in the coming year. You have certainly shown how despite its under-rated status, the Z5 does produce quality photos. Of course combined with that skilled human being behind the viewfinder, buttons, and dials. Cheers!
@@AdamKozak100 well if I am able to get a camera body soon I would love to meet up for a photo walk and show you some cool sites, was laid off recently so I had to sell me equipment
I don't consider myself a photographer but street photography has been very interesting to me. This was really relaxing to watch and inspires me to get back out there and start trying again
Great photos there. Do you use the 85mm 1.8 for night time street photography aswell? You get a lot of lens for the money in that one. Inspireing work here👍😊
the green box highlights what's in focus. The Nikon Z5 is not particularly great for autofocus, but for street photography and subjects not moving too fast, it's great
Nice video and beautiful images! I have just purchased the Viltrox 85 mm Z for my Nikon Z7ii and love it, but am concerned about lack of weather sealing. Did you have any problems using it on a rainy day?
Adam. I am thinking of adding the Viltrox AF 24mm f1.8 Lens to my Nikon Z5 but I am reluctant to go third party. What is your experience with Viltrox? and would you recommend such a move!
I own the Viltrox 24mm for Nikon z. I like it, but its far from perfect. lots of fringing in the corners at 1.8. However, its useful, and relatively cheap. The aperture ring is like molasses trying to change it, maybe I got a sticky version. If you enjoy the 24mm focal length, I would go for it, just don't expect a perfect lens.
@@AdamKozak100 Thank you! . Other reviews have said as much. I am kind of a "BMW" type guy although I don't own one right now and so I know I will never be happy with less than a Nikon Z lens. BTW I have forwarded two of your Toronto Street photography RUclips videos to a few friends who really are inspired with what you have done with the "mundane" P.S. I never shoot Portrait ( vertical) mode but I will do so now.
Hi Adam, could you share some insights about the focus in low light of the Z5? I intend to buy it for wedding work. Do you have experience with the TamKon 28-75 2.8 ?
for weddings its great. I upgraded from the d750 and I'm really glad I did, but I also got my bodies on a big discount. Haven't had a chance to try out the 28-75mm form Nikon z, my favourite lens is the Viltrox 85mm and my adapted Sigma 35mm..I really din't think the Viltrox 24mm is very good at all.
@@matranthanhloc8324 I am keeping my Nikon D5500 and still going to purchase the Nikon Z5. But I must admit I am waiting to see what Nikon does with the Nikon Z5 Mark 2
In my personal opinion when it comes to the future Nikon Z5 Mark 2. All Nikon needs to do is have a flip out screen and add unlimited recording time limit and 10 bit colour science and have both 4k and 6k internally and keep the two SD Card slots for the Nikon Z5 Mark 2 to compete with the Sony A74, Sony A7C Mark2, Panasonic S5 and Panasonic S5 Mark 2 and Canon R6 Mark 2.

I love those images you took in a rainy day. Great video thanks for sharing.
Great photos, i love rainy days here in chicago so I can only imagine toronto was also fun
one day I want to go to Chicago

go for it. the weather's a lot nicer now than when this was taken :)
So cool, I live in Toronto and have seen the city differently thanks to you. Thanks to you I will go and shoot my home city with a different view.
Cool shooting man! Nice sharpness and hard colors
Nice shots Adam. I really like Toronto.
I love using the Z5. IMHO it has great colors !

i love thw mood of your photo ls on this set
Your content deserves more recognition, brother ❤ top tier 👏
appreciate that!
Toronto has got that New York vibe.
great shots! love the color. Can you share the develop recipe?
¡Idem!
Great pictures... Would be nice if you also put the unedited photos.
Great POV video, Adam! I love photography in the rain, I think it’s my favorite time to head out.
Sometimes you just have to brave it!
Best Nikon street shooters
Broo that are some crazy shots good job man
thanks man

This was awesome bro nice images!
Great work! I loved shooting in Toronto when I was there. So lively.
Toronto is great! I love it, although I've been here quite a bit the last few years, I think I would really welcome street photography in a new city
Hi Adam, I think shooting in the rain is the best time for street. I also use the Viltrox 85mm on my Fuji gear. Thanks for your inspiring POV
my favourite lens!
Hi sir, do you have instagram account? Wanna see your photos. I am using fujifilm as well.
@@khrzl93 @adamphilipphotography
would you ever do a video on your camera settings for the nikon z5 with street photography?
Sure. I can.
Thinking about z5 and my 1st lens perhaps the viltrox 85mm
can't go wrong
I was thinking about picking up the Viltrox, what's it like to shoot with? I'd be interested in it for portraits
Great work.
Quais as configurações de foco que você usa?
how I can get same colors? with preset or with manual editing?
hi, what is the focus mode you are using? the big green box in the center? it seems pretty reliable is it?
the green box highlights what's in focus. The Nikon Z5 is not particularly great for autofocus, but for street photography and subjects not moving too fast, it's great
you're using some presets right or ps adjusting - that's not what originals look like is it?
Your photos are fire
I think you just sold me this set. Now I just need a few thousand PLN and I'm ready to put down my 60D.
You sir just made me buy a 85mm viltrox for my z5!!!
Great, enjoy!
What focus mode(s) were you using?
Inspired me to get myself a viltrox 85mm, I may need a little more convincing to get out into the rain!!
Enjoy it! and the last bit of summer weather
Bloody magic mate
Fire. Great work

Hi Adam
I will get Z5 and I have Sigma 85 art
What do you think about this lens with adapter with Nikon z5
adapter works great...will make for a heavy and slightly large combo, but will provide excellent results
Hi Adam! Cool video...Say hi to Mike and Chris for me😅
haha...will do, Ted!
Nice. What exposure settings did you use? We’re the final pics in camera or some edit to exposure?
Manual! Sometimes I use auto ISO, it's a very useful setting when switching between indoors and outdoors, or if light's always changing
Preset, with added contrast
where do you buy your presets from?

The Nikon Z5 alongside the Sony A74 is on my shopping list. Currently shot with the Nikon D5500
great job bro, I also switched from Nikon d5600 to Nikon Z5

Just a variation of some of the presets I bought..usually I have to adjust them anyway by tweaking the colours and the grain
@@AdamKozak100 awesome, great job
Do u need the adaptor to use viltrox gear or u can do it without?
Viltrox makes native Z mount glass
That was awesome !
thanks!

I have z5 as well
Yeah, Z5's great eh. I sort of adapted my presets over time. I think I will share one on the next video for everyone to download
