@GrippingGolfPodcast Great video, very helpful. Question, let say you want to extend the putter shaft from 33 to 40 ( making the shaft into a armlock style) would this process work too?
Hi, great video! Do you think this work work to add 4inches to a putter? And would using the shaft from a wedge work in every case or is it possible the shaft would be too thick?
You could extend it 4 inches since it's a putter, but you might consider just getting a whole new shaft. It'll impact both the swingweight and lie angle. The wedge shaft shouldn't be too thick to use, but if that's a concern, purchase a shaft extender from golfworks.com
how important is the epoxy when doing this? like you said in the video it's not like you're taking full swings with a putter. if you're using an old wedge shaft would shoving it in as far as it can go until it can't move do the trick or would you still recommend using epoxy?
@@Random-tq7sjyeah, I did exactly what I described in my first comment. Every once in a while you'll hear it move but more importantly it doesn't twist. But, just so it's clear, I extended my putter this way with no intention of holding the grip at the very end. I extended the shaft to help with the counterbalance but still hold the putter at the true end of its shaft (not the extended piece)

Thank you!
Good tips. Simple presentation, easy to follow.
Thank you!
@@grippinggolfpodcast if I add a inch to my putter, does that change the feel of the putter when it makes contact with the ball??

Is there a threshold of how far you can/should lengthen a putter before you need to worry about balance (e. g. 31 extended to 34”)?
Lengthening the putter wouldn't affect the balance of the putter, only the swing weight
I want to work with you and you will teach me how to work

Did you end up using no epoxy? How was the end result?
