Hi Gvidas, 1st I'd like to say with the exception that I'm 2 years late watching this video and a lot of steps that you mention in the Surshark login in app have changed or been updated, I was still able to add Surshark VPN to my Asus RT-AC3100. I have a few questions and I'm hoping this channel is still being monitored, as I searched for the latest video and this one is all I could find, 1. When Surfshark VPN is activated on my router, is it still necessary to activate VPN on my other devices, like my laptop, TV when streaming, or my cellphone? 2. Are all devices that are connected to the router protected via upstream & downstream? Thank you, the video was very helpful and really easy to setup the service. Just not sure or understand exactly what VPN on a router does/prevents.

My tomato on Asus looks nothing like this. I uploaded the location file and manually added user name and password in the router and saved it. Status is "connecting" forever. ASUS RT-N10P current version tomato 1.28.0000 MIPSR25.5.1 K26 USB VPN Sabai 5.5.1 HELP!!!

I had IPVanish which doesn’t work for Hulu. I decided to try Surfshark, which does work, however the movies shows blurry which is really frustrating. I have a Samsung q80b and prior to using Shurfshark I was getting 4K movies. Now my movies shows 780p. I have tried downloading the TCP instead of UDP and the same quality. I will contact customer service for a refund.
I have done everything. The funny thing is that even with the VPN profile activated and connection checked ✔️ , Surfshark check says is unprotected, so VPN is not working. Why? I paid the subscription and now I am about to cancel it as this is not working.
I am using an Asus RT-AC66U and my ISP is Rogers(set router to Bridge mode). It will not work with the standard Asus firmware but once installed the Asus Merlin firmware version RT-AC66U_380.70_0 everything works!!!!
Sorry for late reply. It's great to see that updating your firmware helped! I'll share that solution with anyone else who might be having a similar problem.
Hi Melissa! RT-AC53 doesn't feature OpenVPN support, so it will unfortunately not work. I'd recommend either getting a new router or consider using a Windows PC to share VPN connection, we have made a guide about that here: ruclips.net/video/Km6yhe1ihO8/видео.html

Hey sorry for late reply! Not all ASUS routers support OpenVPN. You can check it via specifications page on the ASUS router page. You should see "OpenVPN client" or "WireGuard" that indicates that it will work. In regards to your second question, currently you will get one IP that will work across all pages. However Surfshark is looking into giving a way to have different IPs on different websites.

Hi, when I click on "VPN" on Asus control panel it looks nothing like what's on the video! To the right of the menu I have PPTP, OpenVPN, IPSec and WireGuard VPN. Basically after step2 of the video I am completely lost. Any help appreciated please? I have an Asus RT-AX58U router.
