Cannot wait for the second part Hank! The weather in Germany has been super interesting in the past months. I had the chance to see very interesting cloud formations for the first time, including mammatus clouds here in Berlin. It was mesmerizing! (I knew what these clouds were, thanks to you!)
Of course the scale of the storms and hail in Europe is pretty concerning, since it's very unusual. Czech Republic unfortunately faced an F4 rated tornado recently. On one hand I'm excited to experience storms, and possibly a tornado, from a safe distance (fingers crossed). On the other hand, I'm nervous since I am not sure on what to expect in the future. For the time being I'm just appreciating the mother nature.

I think this is a perfect example of demonstrating what is misunderstood about true storm chasing. It's not just the Reed Timmer, screaming at you, with that wedge tornado grinding into your face experience (although those are amazing to see, and I truly appreciate those moments). But at its' heart, it is a capture of the unusual, and beautiful, and the unlikely to be experienced, with scales and sense of chaos that our dreams can barely conceive on their own. It is an expression of art by mother nature through the lens of those who dare to follow it, and for those of us who feel the shared awe in it's gamut of beauty.

man your audio mixing is so good, the mixture between music/dialogue/and then the sound of storms, its great. this storm wasnt too far from me at the time, cool to see it this close.

Fan-f*cking-tastic imagery, Hank! Those mammatus clouds were so well lit, the dust being sucked up into the storm so surreal, and cap it off with all the high-altitude transients - one of your best videos yet!

Tornadoes at night are terrible in every aspect

@@joshuapfaff5558 that was a bad outbreak. I remember watching it over the radar and news reports.
When I hope for tornadoes, this goes for pretty much every other spotter or chaser, I'm hoping for the type that gracefully dances across empty prairie or farmland causing no damage, injuries, or fatalities. It is our worst fear for any tornado to enter any sort of populated area, let alone at night.

His films are photographed beautifully, the music is wonderful, but the unseen genius is in the editing. The way they are put together is so impressive. I think they really ought to be entered in to several film festivals. His talent is something else.
