- Several supercell thunderstorms in Central Texas on April 26, 2015 dropped enormous hail and tornadoes. For licensing contact hankschyma@yahoo.com More info...
The first tornado producing storm in this video was intercepted near Rising Star and Comanche Texas. A dusty spin-up rose from the dust under a nebulous funnel cloud and lasted about a minute. The second tornado was more powerful and passed about 1/4 behind my car... A little too close for comfort. After, the storm began a weakening trend and I eventually left it for storm number two approaching Stephenville Texas. This storm exhibited strong rotation over the city and the NWS issued a tornado warning, however no reports of a tornado touchdown were reported. After an hour or so, this storm began to weaken and I left it for storm number three near Dublin Texas. A corkscrew updraft gave this storm spectacular structure while warnings of baseball sized hail were issued.
Hank = Most calm storm chaser even if he's been under tornadoes literally.
No real use in freaking out about it. Keep your wits about you and it's easier to think about a way to get out of the suck.

I love your colorful narrations and excellent storm footage! You have more guts in your little finger than most of the lily-livered, F zero-chasing youtubers put together. Most of the other guys' videos seem to be 1 part tornado footage and 3 parts manly-man cursing and screaming cliches ("Listen to the ROARRR!" "We got debris!" "Power flash", etc.). Not you. Thanks for being refreshingly low-key and creative, and for providing some of the scariest up-close tornado experiences ever!

LOVE your channel!! Growing up in Kentucky, I was used to taking shelter in the basement every spring. The tornado outbreak of 1974 was on my birthday (April 3...I was turning 3...and yes, we spent it in the basement lol)
Well, he was right about May. We've had more tornados in a two month cycle than I can recall ever having since I've lived here. Respect, and as always...good video.

bromixsr here in OK all we had was a few tornadoes and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots did i say that we got lots of rain? we were in a 2-3 year drought. now were not in a drought at all!! one of our cites got over 20 inches of rain. that city gets 30 inches in a year. We did get a big tornado along the red river that I think was a EF 3. It could of been a EF 4 but im pretty sure that it was a EF 3
I CANNOT get over Hank's bravery! He takes his job as a stormchaser so seriously, and at the same time very calmly. I can just picture myself being in the back or front seat of his car, stormchasing with him, SCREAMING my lungs out!

That was a crazy day. I was actually a news reporter at the time and was sent to go try and capture some good footage. I was behind the storm and drove into the hail and captured it shattering my windshield. Made for good television but I never saw the tornado :( but I am watching your channel religiously in order to learn how to properly chase.

Pecos Hank is by far my favorite purveyor of terrifyingly close tornado footage with lucid and comprehensive (if not surprisingly calm) commentary. *And friend to all harmless wildlife. The photography is also just incredible, and second to none.

Is anyone on here old enough to remember the super outbreak in April of 1974? I live in Indiana and that was the worst day we had for tornadoes. At one time the whole state was put on a tornado warning cycle because of the number of tornadoes that had touched down here. I was 13 years old going on 14 and I delivered papers for the local newspaper company. That was a very scary day yet, I did not get to see one. Anyone else remember what they were doing during that day.

I have never watched any videos by pecos Hank . I certainly enjoyed this video and your commentary and questions in a somewhat humorous ,yet calm fashion. I will have to get to it and watch some more of your videos. thank you pecos for the awesome footage. Being able to watch this stuff like this is not far off from actually being there DISCLAIMER ; make no mistake I know it's not like being there. at all but in a small sort of way it gets kinda close
