The editing, narrative, soundtrack and script are thoughtfully and intelligently constructed and integrated. My brother and I found what we thought was a box turtle on our street so we picked him up and kept him as a pet until he kept getting bigger and bigger. When he got truly huge, we found out that he was actually a desert tortoise and that we weren't allowed to have those so we gave him to the museum. Sadly, he contracted a contagious disease from the other tortoises and died. :,-( Rest in power, Tortie! SAVE THE TURTLES!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish when I was teaching Earth Science in the late 1960's and early 1970's I had the internet and channels such as yours. Keep up the excellent work!
lol
Okay I subbed you got me at the turtle saving.
I can never get enough of watching your videos over and over.
Awesome work Hank! How interesting it must be on the road like that. Keep it up sir
Thanks Kevin! You can live on the road too... you just gotta let go of your girlfriend, your home, your dog... wait, why am i doing this? ;)
LOL, Hank! You're an extraordinary person, I'd like to think you're doing it for guys like me that can't. You get me close to nature and weather, not to mention some tasty guitar chops.. All the things I love. Bet you didn't know you were working for me. ;)
Kevin M how sweet what you said.....wonderful to see a real Man share his thoughts and feeling honestly and openly. good to read U.
I can't believe that it has almost been 5 years since you uploaded this video. I've followed your channel for a while, and I just wanted to say keep up the good work!
Yay! The turtles were saved, and we ALL hope they weren't allergic to the poison ivy haha
That El Reno tornado was just an absolute monster. Extremely dangerous and scary storm.
3:53 El Reno.
Btw, like if you came for the El Reno.
Edit:If you came to see the video.
i love how consistent hank's quality is even after a decade
OH my goodness....when you moved those turtles from the road you stole my heart. WHAT NOW?
;) xoxox
Loved your bit with Gordon. Thanks. The rest was okay, too, by the way.
Gordon Rocks. Think i'm gonna surprise attack him again this year. Thanks Milton.
...That were responsible for the upheaval of several dead leaves... 😂
I'll never stop loving your commentary ♥
Nothing from November 17 here? That was a big major late season outbreak day in the Midwest. Included two EF-4 and seven EF-3 tornadoes. High Risk day from SPC.
@Pecos Hank 8:10 You captured my Grandpa perfectly. The internet can be a wonderful place sometimes. Thank you.
Best channel on youtube!
I agree.
You are the reason I wan to be a storm chaser and meteorologist when I grow up.

Good lookin out for critters & naders dude. Great doccu/synopsis of 2013. And thanks for keeping it real for the everyday Joe as well as the enthusiast. Awesome breakdown! Have a great & safe 2014 and enjoy them blessings. Can't wait for the next vid! Keep em coming!
Right on Quickjazz! Still got tons of 2013 footage I need to upload. Thanks for all the good will. Sending it back your way dude!
Good guy Hank saving the animals.
I think what's best about your videos has to be the natural sound of thunder in these storms, none of that cheesy "timed" samples that other productions slap into their videos. Sounds just awesome.
2:06 you record it on my 3rd birthday!
Happy birthday 🎈🎂
2013 really was a big year for tornadoes, Moore and el Reno we’re both in this year
Just fantastic. Great video, as always. Stay safe,
Thanks Jason. Happy New Year!
Thanks, darlin, for the amazing footage, charming narrative and giggles. I too have saved many turtles while chasing here in Kansas. Stay safe and be well.
So if i see a gal saving a turtle in Kansas under a supercell, I'll now know exactly who it is. See you soon!
3:35 is this a remix? I haven't been able to find it in the southern backtones library
It sounds like a reversed piano and guitar playing
It's "Something She Said" by *Two Star Symphony*
@@ElectricoGamez thank you so much! Nice to finally know what song it was.
@@Quasarbooster you're welcome
It's so satisfying the tornadoes are so cool and you made me overcome my fear of tornadoes
And here we were concerned that the dog had been picking him up and taking him with her in her mouth.
You capture atmospheric footage of Tornados, which i just don't see much elsewhere! good stuff.
I like the Gordon guy. I wanna meet him before his nice, hearty soul passes on. I also want to smoke a cigar with him, that would also be cool. :) love the videos Hank!
So glad you didn’t get caught up in this tornado. Keep up the good work man ..love your videos! You’re a good person.
