Just wanted to say thanks for making these. I'd recently grabbed a pair but wasn't sure on their repairability, but seeing your tutorials reassures me greatly, especially with how little info there is on these!
Hey man, I really appreciate what you do, you definitely deserve more recognition for your handiness. Basically my problem is, I dropped my w820nbs and the right swivel on my headphones is rigid and doesn’t turn smoothly, like the left. Is there anyway I can fix this by taking apart the headphones?
@@uncoolz5090 yes you can, the mechanism of the swivel is simple. After you disassemble it. You should check the joints where the swivel occurs. If the area is not smooth u can use a heat gun to make the area smooth ( warning, needs controlled heating or you will melt the plastic.) or you can use a fine sanding paper to decrease the friction of the joints removing the rigidity.
I just want to remove the cushion and is there anyway I don't need to disassemble so many parts of the headphone? Some others cut the foam and replace applied to other brands. Not sure if I could do it with edifier. Thanks bro btw
The cushion is the easy one. On the first part of the video. Remove 4 screws on both sides near the cushion area. And the cushion is already exposed. Its taped inside with a double sided tape. You can remove it with force. Just be careful with the wires. Hope this helps.
@@Chromedpotato Thanks bro! I’m still afraid I would tear the wires apart. Next time if you replace the cushion please don’t forget to make a video about it.
Hi! I'm not a viewer of yours however I think they (the person that requested the video) may have meant just the replacement of the headband cushion because there are no (or almost no) tutorials on that. Still a usefull video though!
i just remove 4 screws holding the headband then i cut the old one off to remove it out of the wire cuz i dont need it anymore then swap it with a new one, very easy
Underrated channel, thanks for this tutorial is very helpful.
@@stilgharc glad this helped you out

Can you make a tutorial to change the battery on edifier w820nb?

Good day, actually it has a part in this video of how to access it. Also i did say what I needed to clarify in the video. Its a combination
Is the headband of the Edifier W820 NB from plastic or metal?
And, how much is the headband?
The headband is plastic. I'm not sure of the price for each country though. I found replacement headbands from China.

hi! is this for the replacement of the headband cushion?
