I was 40 years old when the first Starcraft came out. Still playing Starcraft 2. Was almost in the platinum league at the age of 55. At 63 I claim to be the oldest Starcraft 2 player in the leagues. Not that I’m much good, just that Starcraft is so good.
I know there's gotta be some dislike for this series but I love it. As absolutely taxing as this series is on you Winter, I'm hopeful you return to it some time in the future.
The angry coach video's are a ray of sunshine for me in an otherwise dying world. Thanks for being an amazing person and making great content.I look forward to your video's more than any others.Keep up the good work .
@WinterStarcraft was so sad & lonely bc no pro game today - realized I've watched all of the Angry Coach playlist twice over - can I please please beg you to host more Angry Coach, it's your best content & so entertaining!
35:20 - Winter, you mentioned that you are surprised that low level players are not aware of the salt in the higher leagues... But try to understand that people like me and other bad players enjoy SC2 because of the challenge it presents to us... it's so freakin hard to control! If a game comes to a point that it is toe to toe, it's a nice game regardless of details like build order which got us there. Expressing that sentiment is not necessarily meant as a BM. It's sort of this feeling a wannabe pilot might have who is thinking to himself: Omg, I'm flying an actual plane, while having gone through any proper training and yes, all the passengers are vomiting because of the turbulence, our co-pilot is praying to all the entities he holds sacred and texting his family 'please know I loved you'... BUT we haven't crashed yet... and neither did our opponent. And that in itself is for sure a deserving of a praise... "good game". I've looked up starcarft 2 myself in the past just because I struggled with self-esteem and I wanted to prove that regardless of how hard a game is to control, I can improve to belong to the better half of the playerbase (with regard to the MMR) within the first month or two.... which I actually did achieve ... sort of. So I started playing (on my old MacAir - with touchpad, no mouse) Initially while trying to understand the game I played Terran but eventually I realized that I'm never going to improve fast enough playing that race to hit my goal (Diamond League)... so I switched to Protoss which had this useful, invisible unit Dark Templar. I theory-crafted a bit... and I managed to optimize a build so that I could spawn those DTs in the opponent's mineral line by the 4th minute mark.... and I started doing that every single game on one base, while building basically no defense, regardless of the opponent's race, with no scouting and all of that with APM in the low 40s and 30s ... You couldn't be more of a one-trick pony. By the time I got to higher MMR people would often beat me even if they didn't see the all-in coming and got all their workers killed, just because their controls, macro and overall skill was so much better..... so I mostly relied on them giving up out of sheer despair (because if they continued they would realize I wasn't really able to finish them off anyways). My only plan B was going straight to the second base economy -> flying units -> carriers which were also easy enough to control... and yolo the enemy with a critical mass of those, that was it. And that's the story of me getting into diamond without having the actual skill to back it up. Did I deserve it? No... but it was fun and I enjoyed every one of those games. It must feel awesome to play SC2 at a level where you can have the impression like you are in control of your army / economy / infrastructure etc. from start to finish.... It's not a state which most players are at and that's why they should get a pass as far as BM goes when it comes to games which are reminiscent of pro-gamers playing out an awesome end-game battle. It's lovely that thanks to the equal matchmaking even beginners have the option to experience such games from time to time too. Thank you for your attention everybody if you got this far in my convoluted rant.
aww Winter, they're having fun and saying so. It was received in the spirit in which it was intended. And they probably didn't know who was winning. Let people have a little sliver of joy. (well ok, Angry Coach and all, but still *cute kitten eyes*)
I recon there ought to be *Senior* video Gaming clubs. (local or online based) All ranges of games - Arcades, WiiU motion, video board games (Wonoply, Mahjong, Wheel of Fortune etc.) to co-op and modern competitive.
No such thing as "too old for movies", "too old for music" or "too old for books" Video games at 50 years is a relatively young medium, but it's been around long enough to now be considered a respectable, fun and accessible pastime for all ages....even more so for retirees as it has social value and they have more time for it.
I'll have you know Winter I still have StarCraft II installed...I started it up a few months ago...that's as far as i got...but I still love your content :)
Just noticing that at 1:33:20 you say: they never stacked. And that's false. During the first part of LotV they did 60 damage and stacked. It's since the 4.0.0 patch they don't stack anymore and do 120 damage. Edit: I thank the chat for noticing it
The first game, after 30 minutes in, he has a large army, and the numerical advantage, and he just sits there building to cap? What is he even DOING?!?
I will send my replay some day. When i figure out how because i don't understand shit of twitch. Fuck i got almost immediately called out in the intro.
I play very similarly to our attention deficit zerg. I'm a bit better at spending minerals in the early game, but I don't really have a plan (other than a vague idea that I should counter what my opponent builds).
Winter reminds me of Morty lmao so funny without even trying - GGs all you’s, Id be a BYH so you’re all doing great. Biggest thing I learned is don’t build units you can’t micro - which is all of em
47:21 "don't look at it, see it" Seeing is what eyes, the organs, do, as hearing is what ears do. Looking at something is paying attention to what you SEE, as Listeting is to hearing.
2nd replay. lmao never laughed so hard. Winter is exhausted from just watching that replay. lol Must be wood league. And 3rd game he just lose it without even starting the replay lollolol
Is there a hack/cheat to self injecting larvaa with queens without having to manually do it? I keep seeing zergs on ladder with that feature. Or is it just an option i never heard about?
O fucking he'll lmfao. Silver players get to Plat listening to me an pig. Then they start thinking for themselves an that's a mistake. Omfg I spit my drink out.
I’m sorry to hear about your voice… do you think a coach for you from the broadcast or acting community might be able to help you? Does this bring you new perspective about Husky ceasing to be HuskyStarcraft? I hope you find a sustainable way to stay, you’re my fav caster and I hope to see you cast Stormgate content for years :)

44 year old, Diamond player here. I played SC1 , Warcraft 2 back in college days.
Hi Boomer 👋
Good to see you! GLHF
Are you The Narnian?
PLEASE BRING THIS SERIES BAAAAAACK
i've actually fallen asleep several times watching Angry Coach... it's just too relaxing to see, always wake up in good mood
I know there's gotta be some dislike for this series but I love it. As absolutely taxing as this series is on you Winter, I'm hopeful you return to it some time in the future.
You can't be too old for the game if the game is older than your kids.
The angry coach video's are a ray of sunshine for me in an otherwise dying world. Thanks for being an amazing person and making great content.I look forward to your video's more than any others.Keep up the good work .
Me with my age matching my apm. This is gonna be my type of content.
Not only do I learn a lot from these they are the most entertaining video's on the internet
Angry coach and bronze league
What an awesome video!
This was gold.
Thanks for the laughs
@WinterStarcraft was so sad & lonely bc no pro game today - realized I've watched all of the Angry Coach playlist twice over - can I please please beg you to host more Angry Coach, it's your best content & so entertaining!
There are kids out there playing games younger than this game now. It’s incredible. Glad to see another angry coach though
That skip ad gets me every time. Awesome!
Yamr is an example of the hope in gamers. Not salty, even kind to the opponent. Open to learn and with great opportunities to improve. Great watch!
That zergling rush at 28:20 was well worth the price of admission.

The Yamr vs Wes game was pure! Yamr if you ever read this, you sir are a legend!
aww Winter, they're having fun and saying so. It was received in the spirit in which it was intended. And they probably didn't know who was winning. Let people have a little sliver of joy. (well ok, Angry Coach and all, but still *cute kitten eyes*)
Addressing everything you said before you said it, and yet you said it
@@Ole_Rasmussen ah, but I couldn't miss out on the opportunity to write "cute kitten eyes" now could I? 🙂
As a noob player of a few days and an mmr of 430 with just playing against AI for practice, I feel inspired by your angry coaching sir.
A nightmare woke me up while it was playing in the background. 😂
This was one of the best things I’ve experienced in the last 72 hours outside life itself. Fireball.
0:50 to 1:16
Called me out hard lmfao. Well done, made me laugh haha.
Thumbnails are looking strong recently Winter. Awesome stuff!
3:14:55-3:16:15 If anyone else wanted the link, that ridiculous video is here: ruclips.net/video/Z5minkwDX5k/видео.html

Winter is one of the very few yt creators that legit makes me lol
Angry coach is his best series, I hope it returns
my new fave bingelist
you know, funny thing is: i actually remember bobcao's first coaching with to little gates.
Congratulations to me for reading the description. I knew I could do it!
I'll have you know Winter I still have StarCraft II installed...I started it up a few months ago...that's as far as i got...but I still love your content :)
You got to get in there and start playing. It only took me about a 1000 games of 1v1 to kind of understand the game.
Thank you Winter you helped me survive
i love that way of coaching.
10k minerals at 2:40:41 omfg I wish i had that when i play.
2:02:02 is the exact reason I have a 90% pvz win rate and everything else is 50%
Just noticing that at 1:33:20 you say: they never stacked. And that's false. During the first part of LotV they did 60 damage and stacked. It's since the 4.0.0 patch they don't stack anymore and do 120 damage.

perfect for watching when sick in bed ^.^
Ha ha - me too! Winter's as grumpy as I feel :)
The first game, after 30 minutes in, he has a large army, and the numerical advantage, and he just sits there building to cap? What is he even DOING?!?
I will send my replay some day. When i figure out how because i don't understand shit of twitch. Fuck i got almost immediately called out in the intro.
I'm sure one of the angry coach vods has a tutorial
49:36 for the end of year highlight reel please ROFL!
I play very similarly to our attention deficit zerg. I'm a bit better at spending minerals in the early game, but I don't really have a plan (other than a vague idea that I should counter what my opponent builds).

Omg I still hit the skip add button on reflex even when I realize it’s winter talking
Every time…I try to skip that ad every time…
Technically it does skip if you spam click it
So what's the context for Winter losing to a Diamond player?
This is glorious.
Winter, how dare you mess up the sweet sweet ASMR that are your videos.
How do I fax in a replay?
"The attention span of a challenged squirrel"
1:59:34 The FindingNemoMeme-a-lord😂
🤣🤣🤣 one of the funniest angry coach ever!
I'm convinced these guys are trolling at this point.
2:31:00 that dude is spreading bunkers like creep. wtf?!?!?!
"ofc he had to make some semblance, a GG like it was a good game".
THERE'S METAL BANSHEES???
WAIT METAL SIEGE TANKS AND THORS AND BCS WHAT!?!?
Woooo back to 'winter voice abuse' length!
WinterStarcraft = Best Starcraft.
the skip ad button has me DEAD
Killer thumbnail
i keep pressing skip ad but it just pauses the video...
Terrans don’t think we follow the build order
I never try to Skip Ad so hard.
How the heck did you guess my age in the first few seconds of the video?!
2nd replay. lmao never laughed so hard. Winter is exhausted from just watching that replay. lol Must be wood league. And 3rd game he just lose it without even starting the replay lollolol
Saying the build is the issue isn't quite true - like if a grand master went Roch hydra they'd still win against a plat terran.
Hi shiba, hope you're still doing good ♥
Anyone hear from Kybrit? Is he ok?
Hi shiba!
3:04:48 lmao BURN!!!!
It's got to be off-putting for newcomers to SC2. They're saying "Hey I'm having fun" and established players respond with "Whoa what a dick!"
I like ghosts cause they hit hard and can nuke
Hi twitch mods who most certainly don't leave twitch 👋
Oh hi past Shiba 👋
I think this is what happens when people leave the game and come back 🤔
My dumbass tried to skip ad. Sorry winter.
honestly, is it really coaching or is it just people paying for Winter to fulfill a humiliation fetish?
Pichulator translates to something like Dick-nator.. just a very important fyi
Hi Shiba

Thumbnail looks like nick cage face
why is the word capitalization so random
Carbots are the best!!!!!
basically a waist full of time.
probably to young for this game
Why is he so angry?
_WINTER!_ more %*(@! content with the awesome SFX (buzzer, etc)!
