Have you ever eaten at a buffet in an airport? The idea of a seafood buffet in an airport isn't something I see in North America, let alone a sushi buffet, Chinese food buffet, and semi luxury buffet! Today we are at the DMK airport in Bangkok Thailand and found a Buffet Attached to the airport (literally attached) in the airports hotel called the Amari! For about $550thb (about $20usd) you can enjoy a lunch buffet which featured Thai food, like Thai street food, and many other international foods in this international buffet like seafood, pork rib soup, sushi and sashimi, roast chicken and even pork noodles and curries! Being stuck at an airport in Algeria due to missing paper work 🤪
Getting on a plane for the first time for a business trip. 😩 Going was smooth but scary. Coming back to turbulence and I thought I was a gonner! 🥴
You should of had no issues. A Vietnam visa on arrival is available for Canadian nationals entering Vietnam by air. You can obtain the visa at the airport upon arrival in Vietnam instead of visiting the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate prior to your trip. I've flown everywhere in SEA over the past 16 years and I know most things when it comes to it. I never had a problem if stating I wasn't staying long and just got a stamp when I landed in Vietnam. You need to just show you get a visa on arrival and that you don't need a 3 monthtourist visa. Only the 30 day arrival which Thailand gives to Americans and Canadians. You could apply online pretty quickly then print out the travel visa they give you and they give you a stamp later on when you land. Let me know if can help with any questions.

I love that you're so versatile and open to trying different types of food and very respectful. There are some people who would try something once but right away say they won't like it. But If people eat this food it's because they're use to it and if you eat them on a regular basis it probably would be the norm to you. You're like the "I wanna try everything once" type of dude.

Vietnam is, from what I've heard from all my American friends who've traveled there, a terrible place to travel to and from for Americans. The police on the ground will ask for your passport, take it away to "verify" your visa and then tell you that it is not properly issued or invalid because a mistake was made when you applied. Whole holding your visa hostage, you'll be told that you can pay them x amount to get it corrected and be on your way. This happens the most when you're land crossing into Vietnam from Thailand along the northern part of the border near chiangmai. The friends that have had to deal with it knew beforehand that it would happen so they kept $20 usd max in their wallet with a few hundred thai bhat with the rest of their money well hidden elsewhere. Then, they try to pay and bargain with the police, showing them they have limited funds and need a little money to at least eat and get back to Thailand.

About the visa to Vietnam… you should check it out first when traveling to any countries specially any still under communist countries…!!!! They are always asking for visa… you can apply a 5 yrs visa to Vietnam so you can go in and out from any where to Vietnam for 5 years… less than $100. But you should travel to Vietnam… cheap and good food!!! Take care…!!!

Thank you for not acting like you’re entitled when you were not let on the plane to Nam. It was your mistake and I guess you learned a Lesson to do your homework next time. I do enjoy watching your videos and respect that you don’t have a fit if a restaurant asks to leave after ingesting 10x more than the average patron. Always very mature and respectful attitude. A lot of family owned restaurants operate on a very small margin. I wish you luck when you’re older as I’m sure you know the way your eating can do long term damage to your stomach, esophagus, and GI tract. I hope you get regular endoscopy’s. I've always been curious as to how Joel eats on a normal, no competive, day. Does he only eat every other day ? Does he eat normal sized meals when he's no competing? Is his hunger satisfied from an average size meal ?

A lot of buffet's end up tasting like institution foods, no salt everything is over cooked, it's bland. I'm glad your'e having a better experience than I've had in the past.
