I definitely enjoy these challenges ! My issue with THIS specific buffet kind of bothers me because of the massive amount of waste. Not talking about special circumstances like this; just in general. There are so many people that only wear the claws and tails. Some of the best meat is in the "arms". And the tomalley (guts) is incredible. It makes me sad to think of all of that uneaten lobster.

I know it’s a year later… But I’m a new sub. Been around for about three days now. I know the servers and house staff wanted to “get him outta here” LOL 😂 but at least no food went to waste. I’ve been to buffets where they charge an arm and a leg. I can barely finish my salad plate and a plate of entrée and side items. So they definitely keep my money. Majority of the tables that you see at buffets there’s so much food that goes to waste. So at least at your table, the food was eaten and it’s entirety and enjoyed until you had fulfilled your personal challenge and eaten your moneys worth! I love it!!

There’s a great trick to opening the shells, especially the crab legs. After you separate the leg sections stick the prong of a fork inside the rip it open.
The blue "pick" will actually cut into the shell so that you can get to the meat. The small end goes on the bottom and if you push on it it will cut the shell
I once overate at a buffet to get value for money, I made myself so ill with stomach upset afterwards- I said I would never do that again, I'm just amazed where you put it all- you are not big at all.
Hello Fellow Humans, So everyone, take your metal fork and you stick a single fork part into the crab or lobster legs and use it like you are cutting up a letter with an envelope cutter. It works great. It is super easy and I am surprised a good person doesn't use the fork method on legs and shell fish.

What an amazing buffet , I found one like this in Rome & didn't want to leave ! The ones we get in the UK are generally poor quality except for a great Indian buffet with an incredible spread that I found in Leicester

Joel, try the Crab House in New York City, all the lobsters you can eat , plus other sea food $ 125.00 they bring the food to you, as fast as you can eat.
And remember folks, you can visit the dumpster in the alley out back to enjoy all you can eat of what other's couldn't eat inside. Bring your own bib, though. And those that feel as though there are uneaten parts of Joel's lobsters, this is your chance to end waste by eating those parts yourself.
A trick to getting the meat out of the tail is you rip it off the body then rip off the tail fins and push the meat through with your finger. Slides right out in 2 seconds. Also there's poop or eggs that runs up the back of he tail. That is a good deal though. I have a bowl of butter and a bowl of vinegar. Dip it in the butter and then the vinegar. Delicious.

P S...you can always use sharp claws to help remove meat from claws. Works well on Dungeness crabs and I eat lots of them...

Tip: There’s an intestinal tract (ie. lobster sh*t canal) that’s in the tail section that you can remove easily once you split the tail in half.

A trick to getting the meat out of the tail is you rip it off the body then rip off the tail fins and push the meat through with your finger. Slides right out in 2 seconds. Also there's poop or eggs that runs up the back of he tail. That is a good deal though. I have a bowl of butter and a bowl of vinegar. Dip it in the butter and then the vinegar. Delicious.
