I realised I was behind on this video and finally caught up today! So glad you liked both Kaiju and Frieren (and you've read so many of my recs this month I love it)
The cover of The Forest Grimm is gorgeous, such a shame you didn't enjoy it. Glad you loved the Kaiju Preservation Society though, it was one of my favorite reads last year 💕
I didn't love the Time of Dread series because of disconnect from the characters but I also read the entire 7 book series back to back which was a mistake.
Your hair looks fantastic 🧡 I'm glad you're doing well with your challenge. I'm just over halfway through with Speaking Bones but I'm also reading The Will of the Many on my kindle which is over 600 pages - no small books for me this month 😂
For T. Kingfisher: I don't think you will like The hollow places and The twisted ones then. But you might, not sure. More so The hollow places then I think. Paladin books are not for you I don't think. It's very much fantasy romance. I have also read Illuminations and Minor mage but those are more like Wizard's guide to defensive baking and don't think you liked that one that much because of the MG vibes. So would skip those as well
the fact that nobody talks about the book called Manifestation Hacks by Olivia Cooper speaks volumes about how people are stuck in a trance.
Aw, Frieren sounds heartbreaking but also lovely!

I love all your recs, you haven’t steered me wrong yet!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed T. Kingfisher's Paladins books. I'm not typically at all a romance person, but I really enjoyed them.
Jade, can you please read Miracles at the Namiya General Store! Translated fiction that I love with a slight time travel element.
I enjoyed Frieren anime I've got volume 1 in the manga I'm looking forward to jumping in
It's so good!

The Kaiju Preservation Society was one of my fav books of the year during the year I read it. I agree that it’s underhyped.
Your hair looks fab x
Thank you!!
I love when you redye your hair! It’s so vibrant!!

9:46 I’m reading malice right now and I’m looooving it. John Gwynne is so phenomenal imo

Could I read A time of dread with not reading the books before that? Those are unfortunately not available, but do want to read that trilogy.
🧡🧡✨
