This video was straight-up magical! There are so many parts I enjoyed (I love seeing your routine which was so cozy, and your art--those bookmarks are adorable! And your nails are magnificent! I am such a sucker for mushrooms!!!). I also loved that you were reading Between which is one of my all-time favs (the audiobook is somehow even funnier than the book). Did you know you can read Between chronologically (so you're reading Sasha and Lorn's POVs on the day they happen)? The author has the chronological read listed on Goodreads and on their website (under the 'Buddy Read'). I've read it both ways and I think it's a cozier read if you read it as written, but it's somehow funnier (and the foreshadowing pays off faster) when you read it chronologically.

I remember that scene!! The teacher who is drinking in Between isn't a teacher; she was only filling in because they were short-staffed (and the other substitutes turned out to be fledging witches). And even then, she makes a point of noting that she's only drinking at the end of the day after she's finished teaching so it's not as if she's drunk while looking after kids. She's over 100 years old so I guess she feels a little above the rules, lol.

The author does communicate through Good Reads and she mentioned that they’re technically 2 books in one, it’s weird they didn’t warn you as you read (I haven’t read it yet, tryna avoid spoilers) but at least knowing that it’s Book 1 (without spoiling the plot) vs Book 2 (knowing the kingdom) She also has a “read in chronological order” pages list but I’d be annoyed to flip back and forth to try and read it in order, also would be like whiplash changing mental voices (I only like 1st person lol)
