"I was unsatisfied with the puzzle themes uploaded here so I rearranged it myself using the Ogg Vorbis files directly from the game. Unfortunately the game files appear to have all frequencies above 16500hz cut-off. This is roughly the equivalent of a 160kbps mp3. However due to the way Ogg Vorbis compresses audio it sounds better than it's mp3 equivalent. Still even with lossy files it sounds greatly better than that of the official soundtrack considering that the official soundtrack had horrendous mastering. The download link below is a 320kbps mp3 (rather than a lower bit rate) to minimize further loss of quality from converting Vorbis to MP3.

2024 still coming back to this, one of my most memorable gaming experience and favourite ambient tracks ever created. Something about it is just incredible and so unique I don’t think you could ever really capture the same emotion

Man, this takes me back to summer 2012. Used to listen to the non-HD version of this on repeat when writing my dissertation. Those long late nights, sitting at my desk typing away seemed so timeless when listening to this. I miss that time... "Nostalgia" doesn't even cover it. Thanks for the upload.

three years later, i still listen to this. i will never forget the impact mirror's edge had on me at the time. maybe one day i'll finally cross "wander in an empty, modern shopping mall at 8am listening to the shard (puzzle)" off my bucket list.

The visuals and soundtrack of this game are amazing, a unique experience, I still remember struggling to run the game on my PC with physics enabled, it looked amazing!
But what truly stuck with me was the soundtrack, Solar Fields absolutely nailed it, even in Catalyst, for anyone who likes these songs, I strongly recommend giving Solar Fields a listen on Spotify, they still make amazing music to this day!

Technically none of them. The only official "Shard" track is the 7.16 one featured on the OST, but has all the themes (ambience, chase, puzzle, & combat) mixed into one track.
All the stand alone "puzzle" tracks are fan assembled. Either from the in game music files or by looping parts of the OST.
(this was a reply to a question asking which Shard theme here on youtube was the original. YT broke old comment chains.)
I only found out about these recently, I really like them. I was mostly listening to the full tracks on spotify.
I wish mirrors edge 3 came out , and all the hyper I have will pump out my chest

I actually have been watching this video once every year so that this is the last video I watch of that year. I started in 2019, but didn't think of making a comment every time I watch. I think I will now.
2021: the end of a year that gave me hope. It's nice to listen to this again.
2022: can't say this year was good. I guess I'll just go along with it for now.
this is by far one of my favorite tracks ever. there's something about solar fields work that made me fall in love with it as hard as i did.
