so you can reshape it on a mandrel after it's been fired? so if I made my ring as a flat piece first and shaped it around a mandrel after, it will work ok and not crack or brake?
Hi there. It is possible to shape it after firing but the bending strength is not equal to casted or milled silver. Fired metal Art Clay 950 still has a porous structure so our recommendation would be to do the majority of your bending and shaping while the clay is wet and then make minor adjustments after firing.
