Like other people mentioned, Scott Free and Big Barda are dead, there is a whole prequel about that in Seven Soldiers of Victory's Mister Miracle tie-in series.
If that was a tie-in to Final Crisis, I'd assume killing them could have been vetoed in the planning phase of the event. If the writer of the main event had wanted them, I'm not sure any other writer would have been allowed to say no.

Yeah, in "Death of the New Gods" which was suppose to lead into this but was made by Didio-mandate of course. Morrison introduced a new Mister Miracle (Shiloh Norman I believe) and has since disappeared completely form cannon shortly after.

For anyone that does not know anything about Final Crisis. There is always Linkara of "Atopthe4thWall" Fame that can easily delve into most of the problems that DC Event Comics tend to have. Especially with this one, it's also a shame that much of this story was wasted on a Dumber looking Evil Mary Marvel! Seriously, those pig-tails we're just a bad choice!
While a really like the Power Girl idea and dislike how Grant used both Wonder Woman and Mary
Marvel, this video shows a serious lack of understanding of the event itself.
The 4th world is DEAD. The war was lost and evil won. Thus there is no more Scott Free and no more Big Barda. Heck there isn't ANY 4th world members left, only spirits. So that idea only works if you COMPLETELY change the event.
On a smaller note, the use of Oracle would need some work given her crucial role in shutting down anti-life and working with the resistance. It could be done, but it would probably just be easier to use Cassandra Cain, who is already kind of monstrous.
Maybe a female speedster (Jesse Quick?) or someone like Mera instead of Barda.

Just finished rereading Final Crisis for the first time in quite a while, and knowing what I know now:
It's extremely obvious what they were going for. Aside from Wonder Woman, each of the Furies directly ties back to one of the original Furies. Catwoman is Lashina. Batwoman is Mad Harriet. Giganta is Stompa. Their designs are even changed to more closely resemble their counterparts, notice Gigantrix's helmet or Kate's hairstyle. Like the other Apokolips Gods, they're reincarnating in human bodies.
Giganta was chosen because she and Stompa have basically the same powers. Selina uses a whip, which I think is pretty much the same as a lash. Kate doesn't really have a lot in common with Mad Harriet, Harley Quinn would have probably been a better choice, but at the time she was heavily involved with the Religion of Crime, which iirc tied right back to Darkseid, so that explains why she was chosen.
Love it, I would love to see more missed comic opportunities like Civil War or Identity Crisis
Identity Crisis would just be "have a villain whose motivation makes sense" and "don't retcon in rape and mindwipes that aren't relevant to this story", and Civil War is "FUCKING TALK!"
I would definitely like a re-write of Rise of Arsenal and Fall of Green Arrow.

Final Crisis was a confusing, disappointing mess when compared to the perfection of Infinite Crisis. Really hated the storyline and the ending. I'm sure you could do a much better job.
PS I like that you're dipping into famous comic book storylines. Please do many more! Like maybe the Age of Apocalypse...

Y'know what else is wasted plotential? NRS NOT having that red tusk mask (Final Crisis) Wonder Woman as a optional skin for Injustice 2, couldn't think of a more fitting look for her aside from Flashpoint WW.

Honestly I feel like the Anti Life Equation would make Star Sapphire useless considering she is powered by love, but the Anti Life Equation is as far away from love as you can possibly get.
Maybe instead it could be a tech based villain like Dr. Cyber since the other three are all magic based characters.

I liked _Final Crisis_ and bought all the comics leading up to it but the main series was a mess. Grant Morrison goes full out with lore and meta but he doesn't stop. There's close to 10 main POV characters and so much plot bunnies that a 7 issue mini can't give everything air to breath. It still frustrates me since the last issue is apparently WW and Supergirl telling children how the final fight with Darkseid.
I like your idea of Barbara having the option to use cybernetics to regain her legs is good since according to a new interview, this was apparently John Osterman wanted to do with her on _Suicide Squad_ since he wrote a story where Bronze Tiger had to regain his legs and he wanted Oracle to have that option to regain her legs but DC execs nixed the idea.
And then went back on that and made her Batgirl again in the N52...
@@The4thSnake I was iffy on "fixing" Barbara but gosh darn if the new52 Batgirl comic by Gail Simone wasn't good but then Gail really had a great gasp on the character from her _Birds of Prey_ days. I loved that comic a lot so when Fletcher reinvented Barbara as the "Bright Knight of Burnside" it was quite a culture shock.

Isn't it a bit redundant to add "Female" to Furies? I mean in myths Furies are all female already so people already associate Furies with being an all female group of warriors.
A little, yeah. I guess it's just for the alliteration. I think it's more that they are females who are described as furious, rather than furies who are specifically female, if that makes any sense.

It's really not that bad until Issue 7, where time completely collapses in on itself out of nowhere.
oh that i can agree with one hundred percent because the first 6 issues in itself like you said aren't really that bad they do make sense because its darkside just invading the earth and winning and its takes all our heroes to do everything in their power to stop him from succeeding. The problem like you said is the final issue to that event issue 7 where everything completely falls apart and doesn't really add up with the ending to Darkside and his defeat with Anti life equation.

And if were redoing the comics then i say redo superior spiderman. It had a strong beginning. But dan slott screwed up at quite a few things. First peter tried got in the way of saving a child. He was written to so otto would be the good guy. It was bad. None of his friends could find out but every bad guy could. It was terrible. So id swap the little girl with what happened earlier the manic guy who felt nothing. Thats right slott had put peter to feel more for a villain then a little girl. I would have otto shed peters friends as he did a bit slower. His grid was genius. But the fact that peter never proved that he was the superior Spiderman is a low point of his run. Infact the team up books were a lot better then the regular stories. We saw him question himself. Otto freaks out and lashes out on screwball black cat and i forgot the other dude. Black cat shouldnt be questioning whether peter is otto after this. She as a friend of his should have known. Not gonna make his supporting cast a bunch of idiots. Carle isnt going to be the first one to notice aunt may and mary jane is. Carlie and black cat will investigate but otto is going to turn black cat in. Otto will finess his way against the avengers finding peters brainwave during the shot against manic the avengers get involved. The brutilization of other criminals will come first. The street level learns first then travels it along cap. With him finding peter during the shot he isolates peters brain wave then uses it for cover when scanned by peter deciding that his consciousness is benificial to hold hostage until he teams up with the xmen. Returning home to defeat peter with the empiracle data that maiming his villains and spiderbots have done more for the city. That killing manic does justice to all hes killed for his own selfish actions. Killing smythe kept smythe from doing what otto did. Peter comes back like he originally did. Max loses horizon labs and alchemax is born. Turn shadowlands destruction with his spider force plus street level heroes into a mini event. With crossovers with punisher daredevil luke cage and ironfist plus moon knight. Otto comes to the realization that peters way works better as villains that peter has rehabilitated come and help him when otto gets cornered by norman. Otto realizes that his tech was a crutch. Stuff i didnt mention happens like before. Before norman takes over have may mj carlie(carlie gets captured) yuri who finds black cat after norman breaks the raft contacts the avengers tell them whats up. Carlie attacks otto. And before he kills her peter reveals himself. And carlie lets out her info. Peter and otto work on a cure. Otto relinquished peters body when they decide to go save miguel. Peter takes down norman. All it needs is some comic book fluff and it be good.

Though I’d love to see your streamlined Final Crisis.
It would just be removing the weird time dilation thing and making things flow linearly. A major point of contention for me is how the final issue is showing like three different events that might be occuring at the same time even when they all involve the same characters.
Good point (Personally I'd also like a tie in about the New Gods since we get little on their perspective regarding their villain conquering the Earth)

@@21mickkick It was an opportunity to give exposure to lesser-known mutants by moving some of the bigger names into the background for a few years. Instead, the lesser-knowns get depowered and/or killed, while most of the big names kept their powers, so all that was achieved was getting rid of the lesser-knowns who had potential to be big.

I've said as much in the past, yes.
Justice Lords, likely. Crime Syndicate, nope. The later totally goes against what the Injustice was going for in terms of story, it's essentially "bad is good and good is bad". Overall, it's still flawed, but with what its got Injustice did deliver on the concept.

If you mean the original, yes. A team forming aftering being attacked by a team. Might work better in a sequel once the team is formed. If you mean anti-life Furies, then no, I think you need to establish Darkseid as an antagonist first.

X-Men had wayyy more thought provoking idea's such as discrimination and race then Doom Patrol the only thing they ripped off is he idea of hero's being feared which wasn't an original idea that and the Chief and Professor X being wheelchair bound

Don't get me wrong I like the Doom Patrol some of the best shows DC has been putting out but you can't deny that the X-Men are far more important and have more depth then the Doom Patrol.

Considering what the central conflict of the IJ story seems like it's supposed to be, that makes a lot of sense.
@@The4thSnake i would make wonder woman making a regretful choice sparing the bad guy's life but then ends up killing Steve Trevor traumatizing her because she could of prevented it, than wonder woman kills bad guy but in the worst possible way like joker when he pulverized jason.
