So let me get this straight, they put controls for the car vents on a touch screen even though the vents are all within arms reach. That has to be, by a mile, the laziest thing I've ever seen.
Reminds me of that Juicero controversy. A whole lot of technology to do something that can be done by hand with almost the same effort.

Mustlehard not really. Because rolls have suicide doors you can't really reach the handle.

It is not even lazy if you manually tap the touchscreen you might aswell be able to manually control the vents.
Does not make any sense to me other than looking cool.

I valet for porsche, and I honestly Love everything about the new panamera, except the weird shifter! But, Parker, you forgot to mention the cars User interface overall.. when you change any vehicle settings, it shows a 3D diagram of the car and highlights whatever setting you changed. (suspension, exhaust, etc.)... its pretty sick.
My 63 Falcon had the ignition switch on the left too

Arg... couldn't agree more. Why is this even needed? Trying to change the vent position when driving or going over bumps would be a pita. Plus WHEN it breaks at a later time how much is it? Seems so silly to me that the system we've been using to adjust vents works why add motors to it just to add something else to go wrong.
The vents can be electronically controlled and programmed to oscillate in whatever pattern you want them to that's why they are like that and is actually very nice once you actually give it a try

Hey Parker, they put the turbos inside the V so that the turbo compressor outlet is closer to the intake ports in the head for reduced lag. AKA lower intake volume, more velocity, more response.

I just purchased a new 2020 GTS - What an amazing vehicle - holds the road amazingly and has more power then you could ever want. Ride is no too harsh like my 2019 E63S which I hated. I got rid of my 2018 S63 as the transmission was too jerky at low speeds. The GTS PDK transmission is silky smooth and super responsive. Highly recommended!

People may think that the electronically adjustable air vents is over the top, but it does allow the car to remember where they are as part of the driver personalization (which also includes seat position, steering wheel position & mirrors).
Also - you could have an oscillation mode, which would be pretty awkward to do manually.

Yes, the new model looks way better, but the first one doesn't look as bad in real, as many claim, even from the back.

944s, 924s and 928s don't have left hand side starting. I'm not sure if the 914 had it though or the 914-6...
Turbos located inside the engine banks for for a shorter charge air distance to reduce lag and not a shorter exhaust gas travel distance.
why does everyone get so excited about the rear wing? Yeah, it looks cool but the old Panamera turbo did the same thing

who's got the better 4.0 liter twin turbo engine, Porsche or Audi? both have high output, both have turbos in cylinder valley for response. If Porsche is better it's only because it is coupled to a PDK instead of the 8sp ZF everyone else uses.

@boralfa15 - No. After EU-Vehicle class it's a Saloon-Station wagon chassis. Only the Turbo S has 550 HP! The Turbo in this video has 500 HP. Anyway, both cars ar not comparable.

This is the best touch screen display size for cars. This needs to be standardized.
0:55 Wrong. The "ignition-key" is always located on the side of the drivers door. In righthand drive cars, its located on the right side.

Its not just the 2017 Panamera model that had the fake key, I've worked on a panamera turbo which was probably a 2014 or 2015 and it had the same thing

The 2017 Honda Civic R (the R stands for Ricer) just lapped the Nürburgring in 7 minutes 43 seconds so the Porsche is only 5 tenth of a second faster than a Honda? The car world is changing...

No, the Giulia in its manual version is slower, the automatic version is faster around the Nurburgring than the Porsche
Touch control for the vents is the best feature because 90% of the cars have at least 1 broken vent !!
I don't think that having the ignition on the left qualifies as "crazy"
It's actually faster than manual Alfa Romeo Giulia,but slower than Giulia with automatic transmission that lapped the 'Ring in 7:32 minutes.. ;)

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is faster on Nurburgring than Panamera. Giulia's time is 7:32 and Panamera's time is 7:38.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Q automatic did it in 07.32! You refered to the Manuel. Get your facts straight if you do carjournalism.

This is like watching a slightly younger version of motor week on pbs he has the same cadence and almost looks like the guy on motor week too... I don't know how he did it but he was able to make a Porsche sound boring.. if you want to hear someone talk about porsche's with passion and love for them check out salomondrin he will not make a Porsche sound boring I guarantee you 👍🏼
