Oh i love that spin on the bagel ❤ I've been making quick breads and biscuits for the last couple of weeks instead of buying bread. Simple, fresh, and easy. Love your channel 🎉
I absolutely LOVE that! I need to make more quick breads. There’s nothing better than fresh homemade bread 😋 and thank you so much! I’m so glad to hear that!
Years ago I saw a chef on the Food Network crush a vitamin C tablet and add it to his guacamole and to the pesto sauce he made. He said it would keep the avocado (and basil in the pesto) bright green. I tried it and it worked! Perfectly, and you can’t taste it.
Good ideas! Save even more, wash and reuse the aluminum foil. Save energy, bring pasta water to boil, put in pasta, cover and remove pot from heat. Pasta will cook without being boiled continuously. I enjoy your frugalness!

Yes, this is true, groceries are insanly expensive in Canada! We have friends in BC. We live in Germany, the inflation is insane. We have a 10.000$ grocery bill in a year! We are family of 3 😅.
The thing with pasta sauce is it's mostly water. It's far cheaper to make your own with about half a can of tomato paste and a few cups of water. Add garlic, herbs, whatever you like. I think it tastes better also. So basically when you buy pasta sauce you are paying for a lot of water that you could get free at home. Also, tomato paste comes in little cans and they're easier to carry and store. Or you could just buzz a can of tomatoes in the blender and add herbs, etc. That's cheaper too.
Delicious budget friendly ideas. I want to try them all. Egg prices are horrible, but the last time I was at Aldi, the brown eggs were a dollar less than the regular eggs, so I bought those instead. Unrelated, but I was wondering where you found your meal planning book. I could use one of those.
Thank you so much! I found the same with our brown eggs at our ALDI! So interesting! I have the meal planner linked in the description, in my LinkTree, and in my Amazon storefront ☺️ I designed it myself!
So many great, easy ideas here!! Love the idea of making high-protein cottage cheese / yogurt-based bagels! LOVE that you did the TikTok fold-over sandwich - I have to try that tomorrow ! How did you know I have Sprouts clearance tofu that needs to be used?! I've never ever seen anyone do tofu enchiladas/Mexican-slant with tofu - LOVE it! I feel downright inspired after watching this video, thanks!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oh my goodness, thank you so much ☺️ I truly appreciate that!! Those fold-overs are SO fun and they were surprisingly delicious. I hope you love the enchilada casserole!! I highly recommend having them with the black beans cooked with onions and cumin. SO good!! 😋
I swear in every one of your videos I make a face like "what is she doing?" and then it ends up looking really good. I've eaten tofu a lot of ways but I've never seen that browning method before. at the end it looked really good, I for sure have to try the tofu enchilada bake out. Thank you!

Very delicious week I have a wonderful tortilla press that my husband got me probably 30 years ago not only does it press them it Cooks them and I always had spinach to my lasagna roll-ups whether it's frozen or fresh

Thank you so much! I agree! The first time I made lasagna soup, it was out of necessity to get rid of broken noodles and a little bit of this and that I had in the fridge and pantry. It turned out so good that it’s now a favorite meal in our home 😋 I hope you love it too!

Laura they don't carry enchilada sauce at my aldi's for some odd reason!! They carry all kind of Mexican food items just not enchilada sauce!! I find that so strange!!
Sort of! It’s a blend of chilies and tomato sauce that has lots of spices and sometimes flour to thicken it. I would say it’s a spicy roasted tomato sauce.
$4 per day.?! Get a load of Mi$$ Money 💰 Bags. Bragging about having $4 to spend just on food, WOW 😳. I know you are just making a point and I'm being sarcastic. Reality is for some people that's a part of life. I've been there. ✝️
“The first [tortilla] will be rustic” 😂😂😂what a great way to say ugly!
Haha!! Yes 😂😂😂
Laura, put the avocado seed pressed down into the mashed avocado. Then refrigerate. The seed keeps the cut or mashed avocado from turning brown.
