The architect for Hartland House also designed Cambridge's main university library. A monstrosity if there ever is one. haha. Also, as a cantab I'm jealous at how well-made Oxford college vids are.
@rosk 2006 It was. The opportunity I worked for for son long got cancelled halfway through. I'm home in the US now. I have literally never felt so gutted in my life. I will never get this opportunity back.
@rosk 2006 It was a study abroad opportunity. I was to be there for two terms. I was lucky enough to finish Hilary term before Covid made my continuation in the program impossible. I won't get that chance again. It was an incredibly competitive program. Only one student from my school gets to go. I have literally spent years of my life dreaming of attending Oxford. And it was cut in half. and there was nothing I could do about it.
@rosk 2006 It was a one-semester (two term) program that only second years could compete for and only third years could participate in. I was able to finish one term abroad, so as far as my home university is concerned my study abroad requirement has been fulfilled. I feel gutted. I have read and idolized J.R.R. Tolkien's work since I was eleven. I became super enamored with his biography and personal accounts. I always dreamed of the chance to study at Oxford, but knew I couldn't afford it. When I found out my home university had a special Oxford study abroad program (the OPUS program, for those interested), I jumped at the chance. To even be considered to be selected as one of two who get to go, I had to really compete, as I said in another comment. I did. I won. I celebrated and cried. I called my mom the night I got the letter in the mail saying I had been selected, and we cried together. I was never happier that the moment I arrived. The city lived up to and exceeded every one of my childhood expectations. And then it was over. Cut in half. Just done. It feels strange, typing this all out. I have avoided thinking about it since I arrived back home. Your comment really made me sit down and confront it for the first time. I'm really sorry for the length. I'm just trying to work through my thoughts.
@rosk 2006 I'm seriously considering it. I've always known I want to do Grad school, and I'm thinking I might look into applying to Oxford. Money would def be an issue (I got to go to Oxford at the same price as my home university after scholarship).
Decision in hours just wanna say thank you St Annes for being part of my Oxford Dream! hope to visit the college (and meet the college turtles) some day no matter if I'm accepted or not🤧😍😍
I got a St Annes bursary... Eternally grateful. I also love the colour grading on this video.

This video is funny and creative! Great job!
Great video, looking forward to more
Just got reallocated to St Anne’s for my PPE Interview! You guys seem so cool
My great great grandfather worked at St Anne’s as a librarian in the 1950’s (after he retired from working on the Oxford Railway Station)
This video is perfect in so many ways
Fabulous video. I was at St Hugh's but had friends at St Anne's.
Just got accepted! See you in 2020
congrats

outstanding 🙂🙂🙂
You guys seem awesome, let's see if my post grad plans work out and I would love to head your way!
This is a lovely video. I just wish you'd avoided the current marketing obsession with labelling everything 'your'. The college, sadly, is not mine.
applying to st annes is the most scary and exciting thing I will ever do and I'm so nervous to do it next year
WoW, Thai Prayer Book!
