I just did this today , ufff man best thing ever, my beard is so straight and smooth!!! I’m pleased!!! Results may vary, my beard was just curly on the side , now front and mustache is naturally straight , so it came out great!!!
Been doing this for a couple months now it’s made my beard look fuller and easier to maintain, get lots of compliments on it , I use the same exact relaxer also a pick works great
I’m glad you like this.
It works well for a lot of people. Thank you for sharing your experience
How does your face react to it. You know bruhs have sensitive skin and I’m afraid that it will break me out. I wanna try it though boss
@@michaelmitchell8800 the guy in the video also had sensitive skin. And so one of the good things to do is to add petroleum jelly to your skin. So like part the bears and add it
How long do results last till you need to reapply?
@@isaaclikesturtles
It's permanent, but new hair growth will grow in its natural state; so after a while that'll need to be relaxed too. I'm on a month so far and still lookin' good. Will come back with an update, if I don't forget, when I'm going to treat my hair again.
This is Amazing! I'm Sicilian and the African in us comes out in my beard and looks just like his before using this product. Now it's coo
Hate to inform you but you have no African in you. Sorry😂
Definitely gotta try this. I've been looking for a while now on how to clean up my 4c beard. It's exactly like his was in the beginning. Thank you for posting this! ❤
How does it last and often should we do that? Thanks so much!
That turned out pretty good! Great job
Thank you
I just did this today but I used an ORS hair kit and I've gotten excellent results. Now my beard is more manageable.
Yayyyyy I’m so happy for you
Se fizer na navalha e mandar um degrade vai ficar muito mais lindo. Limpar as pontas embaixo pra dar harmonia tambem seria otimo. Legal!!
It came out looking better than I thought it would. I have a very course beard that I haven't trimmed in two years. Not sure I would relax it though. My beard is very important to me and I'd be afraid I'd ruin it and have to shave it off.
I understand that 100%. Thank you for watching.
Hi there, once this is done how often can you wet the beard (wash/ condition) in the shower without deactivated the results of this relaxer ?
Yes you can wash your beard after, and it will still be straight.
@@Surefitjohnson excellent, thank you for taking time to respond to this.
No problem, have a good day!
I got curl beard if I let my hair on my head grow out it do the same. I will never use a relaxer on my beard. Just use beard products that work for my type of hair and brush and pick.. but everyone different
How about mixed hair. For beard of course. Mines very curly. I want the straight look.
Im gonna have to try this , Every now then i use my heated beard brush and it works for 3 to 4 days with me keeping my beard oiled , But returns to its nappy state....
goodness I’m a ginger bearded white guy and I need to try this thanks!
Thanks for watching
im new to all this...a couple questions...can you get your beard wet and shampoo normally after it has been straightened? Also...what happens when your hair grows? the new growth will be curly?
Idk about beards, but for natural hair yes, you can shampoo it normally. But NEVER wash just before you relax it the first time or again after that. Washing will strip the oils on your skin and may even cause micro tears in the skin, so that when you apply the relaxer, it'll easily burn and irritate your skin. (these are literally chemicals, they burn) Other than that, you can shampoo normally, but your beard and the skin underneath are gonna need a bit more oil going forward. Relaxed/texturized hair tends to be drier.
The new growth will be curly so you'll have to touch it up to have an even texture. I'd recommend 3 to 6 months, depending on how fast your beard grows. Imo, the longer the better so you can clearly see the demarcation between the curly and the treated hair. When you touch it up, try not to let the relaxer touch the already treated hair. Only treat the new "virgin" hair or else ya beard will break off. Hope that helps
Also
Try go for texturizers not full strength relaxers. Basically leave some of that curl in, unless you want to look like a pimp
@@likeitmatters6046 lm@o texturizer it is. Much appreciated 🙏
@@likeitmatters6046 I wish I read this comment before. I relaxed my beard and it’s too straight. I know now that I should have used a texturizer
How often to straighten it?
My husband is Puerto Rican, Italian, and Scottish so his beard is SUPER tightly curled (he gains like 4 inches when we straighten it) do you think this could work for him?
I’d do a very mild texturizer and cut the time by half
Ayyee I'm rocking with y'all nice video. I can tell you love your man. Great job guys
Thanks for watching.
Is there long term damage doing this?
THIS!! I've been looking for a video like this for so long. Thank you!!
"He never smiles ever" 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you from CDMX
I was just about to say this is the unhappiest looking dude ever, he does not wanna be here 😂
I’m a white boy but my beard hair is similar to his in this video. I believe I’m gonna have to try this. Would like that straight, super clean look.
How did it go? I'm in your shoes and wondering if this is an idea for me.
White people have different types of hair..just like Black people do. But like Paul Mooney said.."Many white people don't realize if they shake their family tree hard enough a black person gonna fall out..". So...
What is the name of this treatment
Does that work on a Scottish beard that is far thicker than that.
Trying to sort my husband beard its very tightly curled underneath... Will definitely try this!
Okay, let me know how it goes
She got my boy looking mixed with Native American. I was wondering if you could apply to the beard. Thanks for making.
When do you put valsaline on?
I think I’m going to texturize my husband’s beard🥰
Yeah I think that would work great too !
@@Surefitjohnson i did it and it turned out great😍
AWESOME!! Does he like it too?
@@Surefitjohnson yes! It turned out really nice🥰 thank you for your video!
I was pondering this for awhile but I see the effects. I'm going to give it a try. Great video!!!
It really is helpful

I’ve got a wild beard that i’ve been trying to get under control. If this is permanent I’m down for giving this a try 👍🏻 looks good
He’s asking, if he doesn’t know be helpful instead of a smart a**.
Thanks for watching
I did this a lot back in college. Just like relaxing your hair, it's not permanent. But from my experience, it lasts longer because not a lot of hair grows in your beards once it's fully grown, until the hair on your head.
My girl is a stylist. She does my beard. Never had any issues. Great job
Thanks for your comment! ☀️
Ok, very nice! My only question is what should do before the shampoo of my beard? Or do I simply leave the relaxer in? Thank you.
Follow the video as is. Use the relaxer. Shampoo the beard, condition the beard
Once you get new growth your beard looks crazy
If you're that man's woman or wife he's a lucky man. You're willingly called his sideburns curly keeping all your words positive. Me personally I would've said nappy. 😂🤣 I see and hear the Queen in you beautiful ❤️. My beard is similar to the guy in the video and I been thinking about perming it for awhile. Your video confirmed that it's ok for me to do that.. Thanks my Nubian Queen 💯💪🏾
Definitely doing this!
Awesome
I’m definitely trying this tomorrow
Let me know how it goes
I'm going to half to try this on my beard thanks for the video
You’re welcome
I think you’ll like it
So can I use a Scurl relaxing wave kit too right?
Yes, it’s the same thing.

I'm glad I found this video because the sales people never mention this to those who are not genetically gift with thick manageable beards they post products for 100's of dollars that will when never give u this look

@@Surefitjohnson I used ORS Olive Oil and followed a similar process, starting by applying petroleum jelly on the perimeter skin, with excellent results. My hair has so much luster now and is straight af. Had my ass smiling too lol. Now I just need to get my style down. Thanks for the video.
You’re welcome. I’m glad it helped! And I bet you look handsome !
Doing this tomorrow
Let me know how it turns out!
Using beard wash, conditioner, beard oil, beard butter along with a deep condition and consistency will keep your beard strong and soft. Not sure why men would take advice from someone who can't even grow a beard. Enjoy the beard growth journey, no shortcuts!!
Why are you in these people business... especially mine. Everything doesn’t work for everybody so stop talking out of your ass.
@@Surefitjohnson Again no intelligent rebuttal.
@@thepatrioarchy Here's an "intelligent rebuttal" from an International Beard Champion. Every product you mentioned is optional and not necessary for a nice looking beard. And everything you mentioned has NOTHING to do with straightening a beard..which is what this video is about. This video is not about keeping a beard "strong and soft". It's about straightening a very curly beard. And everything you mentioned will NOT permanently straighten the structure of naturally curly hair. Only a chemical can do that. Also..men don't need special "beard washes" or "beard oils" or "beard butters". Those are marketing gimmicks made to sell products. Regular hair shampoo and even gentle body soaps work just fine on beards. So do regular hair conditioners. Which is why if you look at pictures of men with beards from 50 years ago or longer..when all they did was use soap and water..their beards look beautiful and healthy. Oils and butters only weigh beard hair down..frequently cause acne and other skin problems..attract dust/dirt/bacteria/fungi..and cause hair breakage over time due to over-saturation. As an International Beard Champion I know all the tricks to make beards look wonderful..and again..only chemicals can permanently straighten very curly beards. Great job, Ms. Surefitjohnson!
@@Nightbird. Thanks for making my point! No man should be using chemicals to straighten or chemicals period on their beard! I agree that using too much oils, beard butters are not good for your beard and will cause the problems you mentioned that's why you use those things in moderation. However, don't ignore what those chemicals can do to your beard and skin over time beard champion! 😉
Men and women who dye and relax their hair/beard will have hair and skin damage. Also, makes the beard look unnatural. Moisture is the key to straighten out curly beard. Growing a beard is not only for looks. The process is a journey the helps you grow spiritually. But then again only a few would understand this.
The smaller packet didn’t need to be put in to protect the relaxation process??
No Bc it was conditioner
Ah ok thanks just finished and it’s perfect!!
@@JB-xc8xf good ! I’m happy that you love it!
Will this work for a curly ginger beard as well?
I would only recommend this from Afro textured hair
Wow. thanks for sharing... when can i find this product though?
Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens
Doing this too often can damage the beard, right?
Yes sir,
This looks fun tbh

When you started conditioning and shampoo you became very confusing. You said shampoo and you skipped conditioning but then you started conditioning.
Will it stay that waya after it gets wet or after u shower.
Yes just hair to wait for it to dry
I tried to sweep the comments but didn’t find the question…white guys are good to use the same product? Maybe half the time?
Awesome results! His beard looks great!
I do cannot recommend on white guys.
If you try it. Please comment how it works out for you !
Thank you thank you! ❤
Thank you, tried many different ways to straighten my beard before and this is the only effective one.
I’m glad it worked!
How often could I get away with relaxing my beard?
Everyone hair growth rate is different so that’s a big factor. If you do it lmk how it works for you and how often you had to do it!
@@Surefitjohnson just relaxed it today ima try again in bout a month I'll let u Kno w
Okay PERFECT!
@@dekka495 what’s your insta so I can track your progress?
I used to texture my beard a few years ago and it made my beard look and feel amazing.
I think the feel part is the breaking down of the air strand by the relaxer..
After awhile my beard start to break and, I’m taking lib right in the middle.
I had to o stop doing it because it kept on breaking off .
I haven’t done it I’m about 4 years and my beard is healthier than ever.
If I never dis that whole relaxer thing my beard would definitely be touching my chest now,
Was tempted to do it the other day but had to talk myself out of doing it.
Hey how often should I do this? I was thinking maybe once every 3 months
When I was relaxed that’s how often I’d do it and only relax the parts that have never touched relaxer.
I’m not 100% sure about the beard time, it depends on how fast the hair grows. Buy make sure you don’t use it on sheet processed hair
Omg thank you!!!
You’re welcome 😊
This information is a blessing. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome 😇
I thot that was LeBron before the face reveal

So dig this... just saw this vid for the 1st time.. been growing mine for over a yr, kinda reminds me of his, trying this tomorrow.... after reading some of these comments, my question is about the new growth down the line.
How would you apply is again for the new growth without getting it on the already straight? You have apply, then comb it through, then wash it out right? So how would you avoid the already straight hair?
When the hair is growing out. Only put it on the new hair. Try not to overly and product on the straight hair. Rinse thoroughly and quickly
I’m about to do this like right now and I’m scared lol I’m mixed but I was blessed with really course and curly hair
How did it come out?
Do the hands come with it? Ion got a girl 🥲
Awe, no. I’m sorry but if you live in the Houston area I could help you.
@@Surefitjohnson then I might just have to book a flight 😭 merry christmas tho🎄

I tried this on my beard & it burned my beard to the point where the hair won’t grow back in the middle of my beard. I wish I didn’t do it now but hopefully overtime the hair will grow back.
Hair grows back and it sound like you kept it on way too long !
@@Surefitjohnson I really didn’t leave it but about 5 mins. But ig I did cuz I kno I have a chemical burn. It’s been about 2 months now still bald. Hopefully it comes back soon. Next time I’ll have u put it in huh
With pleasure
Keep doing your thing looks good pay them haters no attention people don’t understand it’s hard to manage a beard that is extremely coarse
Thank you very much for the encouraging words!
No it isn’t it takes patience an time. Many oils will naturally do this. I’ll never use chemicals in my beard.
Well then don’t use it on your beard. Worry about you and nobody else. 🥰
And tell him to just brush wet an comb that’s how you straighten course beards not this chemical junk.
@@alejandrotobienne584 There isn't a single oil on earth that will straighten naturally curly hair. Oils just weight hair down a little bit..but will not straighten the hair. And to make matters worst..oil will make beards look less full, often cause facial acne, attract dirt and dust, and weaken the strength of hair fibers due to over-saturation. And wet combs, hair straightening irons and blow drying will only produce temporary straightening that usually doesn't last more than a couple of hours. Chemical straightening is the ONLY way to change the structure of the hair for lasting results. I'm a past international beard champion so I know all the tricks to make beards look good. And if you want a straighter looking beard (not everyone does though..curly beards are beautiful too!) only chemical relaxers will change the structure of curly hair permanently. Thanks for the video, Ms. Surefitjohnson!
Aaaaw he smiled
this is what i need for my beard a good conditioner and a good oil treatment what is the name of that oil that you used
Steven Foreman all of the products can’t from the African pride box, with is also a brand easily found at Walmart

@@Surefitjohnson yes coming from a background of Aunties and my mom and grandma doing hair I got curious about dem relaxers😩😂😂😂..
I know I’m late but bruh could’ve achieved this with vitamin e oil and a wooden comb and water. What’s his regular routine
I think what a lot of you are missing is everything doesn’t work for everyone. If oil and a comb was an option.. and worked
Don’t you think he would’ve gone with the easiest option?
Thanks for your comment though
@@SurefitjohnsonTalk to these niggas sis😂😂🤣
Its easy. Wash condition detangle oil, comb heat and curl brush
Is that what you do for your beard? That’s not what’s being done in the video
@@Surefitjohnson i find theres no need to put chemicals on your face. And no need for beard to be this way at all times. But if you want it that way its not hard to achieve without relaxer
As a black man, never listen to a woman about your beard. He wanted length but when his natural hair gets longer, the permed hair is going to break off, or look worn. Use a straightening brush, you're welcome.
Cap, women use these products alot more. Nothing wrong with taking some helpful advice
@rogerk5226 Don't talk cap without facts you can't back up. Fact, your beard hairs are different than the hair on your scalp. What is a woman going to tell you about that? Perm your beard, the thin part will break when your real hair grows. Better yet, try it.
I giggled when you said “he never smiles ever”
Lol it’s true. Thanks for watching
Thanks, great video. I tried this and it worked really well. I have a pretty long beard that was a curly, unruly mess. Now it looks fantastic with no breakage or burning smell. I did burn a tiny spot on my cheek that I missed with the Vaseline. But it's not bad, and totally worth it.
Thank you for your comment. I wasn’t sure if it would work on hair that wasn’t like a black persons texture so now others can see your comment.
