Great lesson thank u. I train at my house with my roommate and his brother. We're not opening up a school but what do u suggest would be the besr way to run it? I'm a purple belt but as of now this isn't a business venture its just a couple guys training in the living room lol. Love the info on the videos!

Best way to run what, your three-man training session? Just keep doing what you’re doing!

Loved the video! Goal setting is extremely important in everything. Quick question, a friend (white belt, sports jj training background) and I (trained gracie combatives, a white belt) are training at a sport jj academy and it seems that barely any of the students have the basic fundamentals and instead focus on the good to know techniques. My friend and I are subscribed to gracie university online and we had decided to take control of our learning so we go to class during the open mat time and drilling the online lessons together because the in person lessons are purple/brown belt level moves. Is this rude to the instructor (brown belt sport jj)? We want to go to a gym with legit self defense, but the time, price and location do not match with the 2 of us. If you get the chance to comment your thoughts on the subject thanks! If not thanks for the videos anyway!

If it’s an “open” mat, my assumption is that it’s ok?
Btw, there aren’t really purple/brown belt level moves, per se. Just purple/brown belt level “execution.”

Kama Jiu-Jitsu wow thanks for the quick reply. It is somewhat open mat, in between classes 1 hr before class we drill, take the lesson and a 1hr of drilling after the lesson.
