Cool! Never knew the older models had D-Jetronic. Had that system on my VW Type 3 1600. Injectors did like to plug up, though... Sold it to a friend who is daily driving it. That control module still works fine 55 years later...
This ecu needs a bit of work. Some traces seems to have have been rotten and some has really bad solder joint. But quit incredible how it was made and still work. That's not bmw dual dme for v12 (e31 e32) that are very prone to fail!

Wow! A 350SE (or maybe a 280S) was featured in the turkish movie "Sari Mercedes". I remember that she sound like that only at the final scenes, were happened a crash and the car flipped but ran again for a while. Great movie indeed.

That Merc is technically brand new, not even 200,000 on the clock, and Mercedes can go up to crazy miles (older versions) there is a Mercedes in West Africa that reached 1,000,000km, i don't think any modern car would even come close to it, especially nowadays with DPF and other bull crap.
There was a 1988 W124 200D 4 speed manual that was used as a taxi for 13 years in Porto, Portugal, that reached 1,965,000 kms. So much so that Mercedes bought it from the owner in 2006 for €5000 to put it in the Mercedes museum in Stuttgard. Just think about it for a moment: 1,965,000 kms in 13 years is an average of more than 151,000kms a year! He now drives a 2001 W210 that has already passed the 1 million km mark too.

Car was already cleaned and washed before we got it. They also installed new fuel lines and fuel pump but they still did not get it running.
They also installed some electric wires holding the floor. Noice.

I had no idea Mercedes still had cars with D-Jetronic fuel injection in 1979. Most everything in the US had K or KE-Jetronic by 1975.
This is not an 1979 car, as D-Jetronic was only used from 1972 until 1975 in the W116 ;-) Geetrings from Benz-Town
