First time i cam across this song/footage i was on mushrooms with my best friend and my sister. We had just gotten home from an adventure outside and were trying to figure out what we were gonna do. I saw the woodstock vhs tapes sitten there.. we watched the entirity of the footage and for some reason this part stood out the most for me. Love this song.
Has been looking for this for years on end. I heard this on a vhs copy of the Woodstock movie years ago in a class in school. I heard this was one of their first live performances as a band. They said something about that in the legends behind the music special here on youtube.
Must have been great 💔🌹
here on 12/28/2020 listening to Crosby,Stills, Nash, and Young, August 1969.
This raw live recording has an energy and authenticity that the studio version cant match.
Magical quality to this...and the legacy of woodstock...Lacy Lilting lyric twice...got it all..Que linda!

This is where I became a fan.
Neil Young may have been a controversial character, but still, he was indeed in his own right and a musical force to be reconned with!
"Born back up in the wooden ships"....so stoned and still so melodic
