Thanks for visiting. Only Daikin VRVA is auto charge. For new installation,you need to do calculations for pipe size and pipe length for quantity gas you need to charging before Auto charge and test run. Auto charge only can charging 4kg.
The point to keep the high pressure valve closed on the manifold but keep its hose connected to the liquid port on the unit is only for pressure control purpose in this side?

Is it correct auto charge can only be done on system with ductless wall mounts and cassettes? I read this not will work with ducted air handlers.
VRV 4 A-series (duct, ceiling cassette, wall mounted - only A series)

This is new installation and this is VRV-A Auto charging.
If gas is insufficient , it will recharge
automatically up to 4kg.
