Quit calling it artificial its not it's not artificial sound for the exhaust it's the real exhaust sound but funneled to where you can hear it inside it's not like it's coming from the speakers

Good job Bro.. I recently purchased a 2012 XJ. I am not under warranty. The costs of maintenance has made me a DIY'er...

Word to the wise, when you have a lean condition on a engine, the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to find the leak where the air gets in is to use brake cleaner and spray small bursts a bit of everywhere near hoses and such. Brake cleaner burns easily and since it's not gonna be metered either, the engine is gonna run weird, gurgle, rev up a bit and such once it gets sucked in, so you keep spraying around that area until you pinpoint where exactly it gets sucked in and that's how you find out in about 5 minutes where you leak is. Costs way less than a smoke machine and special tools and takes alot less time to find a leak usually, or at least pinpoint a general area where it could be. Kudos on seeing it through though! Glad that you found the problem!

I would propose starting fluid (basically ether) or propane. Brake cleaner works too but it creates very unhealthy fumes when combusted du to it being chlorinated. I did a smoke test once, didn't want to buy a machine just for that so I simply puffed on a ciggar and blew into the hose. Worked great. (I realize I just talked about unhealthy fumes but a few puffs of tobacco smoke is nothing to worry about...)

Hey buddy, great video. Thanks for persisting and getting to root cause your problem. This will be invaluable to other people that may experience the same code errors. You did really well getting that part out even if you say you didn't. I hope you can just change the pipes, something tells me not, knowing Jaguar. But hey! Good luck getting it back in and working. Top man for sharing out.

Thanks for the comment highly appreciated I was actually able to just replace just the corrugated tube I found it on eBay and tho it’s not a genuine jaguar part, because they do not sell it by itself it did fix the issue and I did record me installing it. I just have to edit the video and then post it.

@@logicalthinking21 Fantastic! I'm so impressed and pleased for you. Sorry for inadvertently getting you to send out a spoiler for the next Jag video, I was in suspense for it :)

There is another RUclipsr called WatchJRGo that showed his "sypholizer" (spelling?) and made the point that he wanted to block off the vacuum ports from the engine to it. Who cares if you get engine sound in the cabin unless you are really into that sort of thing. Anyway, just thought I'd pass that along. Jag designed so much of this crap just to break down and keep their shops busy (IMHO). Just like their stupid plastic cooling Y pipe that requires the super charger be removed to replace it.
